If you haven't already, you need to look in the 'guides' forum. There's a topic specifically to unlock the BL, and you'll also have to follow the info when you have a Verizon variant, which you have, because that's the one that doesn't have the OEM unlock in dev settings.
It's not that hard to do. Finding a workable TWRP is more involved. Not so much finding it but getting it installed. Because there is no recovery partition any more, twrp has to be ram-disk injected into the boot partition, that's where it gets more complicated.

Hi again, I got a question.
How can I disable Secure Boot?
I want to install a custom kernel on it.
Thanks!

Can this Pixel 2 XL device be bootloader unlocked? Currently locked. (How to check if a device can be bootloader unlocked - the seller does not know)
I am uploading an image of the fastboot (bootloader) mode.
This phone's model is G011C. Is there a way to tell by that?
Thanks!

Connect to wi-fi, enable Developer options, check to see if OEM unlocking is available to enable. If it is,
you can unlock by using unlock instructions found here and everywhere.
If that does not work, it's probably a Verizon version and not unlockable; however
there's an outside chance that a factory reset followed by enabling Dev Options might
allow unlock if it's possible.

It's probly Verizon if not unlocked by above. You can find out for sure by entering IMEI here: http://www.imeipro.info/check_lg.html
If it's VZN, that will show up in detail of report.

Hey guys i just got this with the ULM model and was wondering if anyone had a bootloader unlock for it. also if possible a root
There are rumors of a new bootloader unlock for G710ULM but I haven't tried it myself. If you decide to go for it let us know.
I managed to unlock my bootloader with some help from the telegram group
Yes, there's a new unlock method posted on one of the famous Russian forums. I haven't tried it, but it involves booting once with a rooted boot image, using root and a root adb terminal to overwrite the bootloader with an unlockable one, unlocking the bootloader, and copying the original boot loader back. It seems fairly straightforward, though, as I said, I've not tried it.
Yes, thats a very good explaination of it
Link to the method?

As far as I can tell the method has only been posted in the G7 Telegram group. I think I'm not allowed to link to the group invite, but if you Google for an LG G7 Telegram group you should be able to find it and get access to the group.
This thread is kind of old, but I found this thread before I found the latest and best one, which is here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g7-thinq/how-to/how-to-bootloader-unlock-g7-thinq-t-t3963568
The answer to OP is YES it is possible to unlock bootloader on ULM and other G7 models, and the instructions are in the thread above ^
Has anyone figured out how to unlock the bootloader on the LGM710ULM? I have google fi and my warranty has just expired, so I was trying to install linux on my phone, but I cant find out how to unlock the bootloader anywhere.

Indeed I am, although my phone now believes that its a LM-V350ULM. Please go to the thread I linked you to. It really works

The only thing that is from the v350ulm is the bootloader.. You can fix that by reflashing the ULM kdz or backing up the stock abl_a img before flashing the v350ulm bootloader then restoring it..
But its no big deal
Hi! I have a friend that has an LG G7 ThinQ. Her husband just recently passed again from COVID and she's wondering if there's any way that she can bypass the lock screen so she can retrieve information from the phone.
The phone is OEM firmware. Any ideas or any specialist that I can refer her to? We are based in Los Angeles, CA.
Thank you very much in advance.
Taney

Sorry for ur friend mate.
A lockscreen from LG means that u Will lost all the data if u dont remember this. That says the text from LG before u accept the lockscreen agreement.
The oem software is blocked with encryption that prevents writing to /system and other dependencies. Even worse if the terminal does not have the usb-debuggin enabled, it will not be able to modify anything from fastboot or recovery. The only thing I can think of would be to flash from lgup the partitions that are needed to bypass the lock, but again the data partition I suppose will remain locked by encryption. You should contact LG Electronics to discuss the case as it is something exceptional and they could help you.

i have found some threads about it here, but they are a bit confusing since they are showing how to do everything, like rooting, unlcloking and all these stuffs together and i just want to do the conversion to international without uncloking the bootloader, so if someone could help me with that i will appreciate it.
because i do not want to brick my phone i just want to do it right
the current model i have now is this (oneplus 7t HD1907 build number 10.0.12HD63CB)

I have done it (converted to international, locked bootloader) using this nice guide
[GUIDE][WIP]T-Mobile Brand Conversion to Rooted Global Firmware
First, let me say that this is only an attempt to pull this information out from a lot of different threads that require a bunch of research and a lot of institutional knowledge of Android. The idea of this thread is going from 100% T-Mobile...

N:B: Copy and replace all the files of the extracted fastboot rom (keep the files from the platform tools).
After flashing 10.0.12, do an immediate OTA to 10.0.15. After that execute "fastboot oem lock".

Waiting for my unlock token.
By the way, did you clean the data( by factory reset or in Recovery Mode ) before or after flashing the 10.0.12?
Thanks
