hi, i want to convert my 7t from tmobile to international but without uncloking the bootloader.
i have found some threads about it here, but they are a bit confusing since they are showing how to do everything, like rooting, unlcloking and all these stuffs together and i just want to do the conversion to international without uncloking the bootloader, so if someone could help me with that i will appreciate it.
because i do not want to brick my phone i just want to do it right
the current model i have now is this (oneplus 7t HD1907 build number 10.0.12HD63CB)
so thanks.
I don't think it's possible without unlocking bootloader.

By the way, did you clean the data( by factory reset or in Recovery Mode ) before or after flashing the 10.0.12?
Thanks

Hello all,
So my op6t died a very violent death the other day. I needed a replacement phone immediately so I went to T-Mobile and bought the 9pro outright. Per T-Mobiles guidelines, I have to wait 40 days before they'll SIM unlock the device. Once they do that for me "oem unlock" option should no longer be grayed out and I can unlock bootloader.
My question is, once my BL is unlocked, am I able to flash the global/international version of OOS? Or am I stuck with T-Mobile roms forever?
Thanks,
Pain
You can unlock the Bootloader when you request a token to unlock.
If you paid full price, why not get it directly from OnePlus with no restrictions?

Better to flash EU in this regard.

Where do we download them from? OP website or oxygen updater app?
I just did this yesterday!
This thread has the instruction you need: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...7-to-eu-via-msm-no-unlock-bin-needed.4272837/
So yes, it's possible, but you'd have to keep the bootloader unlocked and flash the T-Mobile modem after every update. Not a big deal.
I actually tried flashing both the EU (firmware ending in BA) and Global full ROM (firmware ending in AA).from OnePlus and didn't notice any difference. But my understanding is that this month is special in that we can download the full update image from OnePlus for the Global/NA variant.
With Magisk Hide, I was able to get Google Pay working and Widevine L1 for Netflix HD.

Can you restore those backups with MSM as well?
You can with unlocked BL, just boot to fastboot and flash the partitions. You could use SMT download mode, but I wouldn't advise since it could wipe your IMEI and EFS partition.
Hi, I have a oneplus 7T that belongs to T-MOBILE, I decided to make it global, after doing the process I made the mistake of blocking the bootloader after that the terminal does not pass the error "Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and will not boot ", I can only enter the fastboot mode, I have tried to enter the EDL mode to do the process again through the MSM through the adb commands and through a deep flash cable and np I have been lucky.
I have also tried to unlock the bootloader but it does not allow me, because it gives me an error related to that I have to enable unlocking through the android developer.
The pc only recognizes the terminal as "Android Bootloader Interface".
So if you can acces the fastboot mode have you tried flashing a oos10/11 fastboot rom ?

It is not necessary to use the TMobile rom, you just have to get to the point where the phone is unlocked with the command "fastboot flashing unlock_critical" and then jump to steps 7 and 8 of the guide referenced in the link I shared.

Hi.
So I just bought a T-Mobile 9 pro online and I go to unlock the bootloader, and it won't let me ! I've tried the ADB command and it gave me an error saying it's not allowed. Then I turned the phone off and tried the button sequence to get into it. But there is no advanced option from recovery to boot into fastboot.
Just so you know. I'm trying to convert it to international ROM as I have done before with my other OnePlus phones.
Is this a common thing with T-Mobile ?
And how can I get the bootloader unlocked ?
Thanks

If you don't have your unlock token from T-Mobile, you will need to use the Tmo->Eu MSM conversion tool to convert to EU. Then unlock bootloader there and go on to global or stay on Eu. If you stay on oos11 or 12, flash nonhlos modem back in.
You should back up modemst1/2 and persist/efs to be safe

I already know how to unlock the bootloader. I just know that on some TMobile variants of OnePlus devices, like the OnePlus 8 you have to go through a bunch of extra **** to be able to unlock the bootloader, but if you have the boot file that is prepatched with magisk you can just flash that as long as it is the same version. Does anyone know if you have to have the sim unlocked in order to unlock the bootloader like you do with the op8? Or can you just enable OEM unlock and then adb to unlock the bootloader?

As for rooting, it is rather simple once the bootloader is unlocked..
You may know certain things, but I do not have a clue as to what you already know. Therefore I take it step by step to help you achieve what you are wanting to do!
I am working on the rooting instructions as of now and will post them for you complete with links! Be patient.
Rooting the OnePlus 9 Pro
1) Unlock the bootloader using the guide from here

3) Download the latest TWRP img and rename it twrp.img from here and save it in your platform-tools folder
https://dl.twrp.me/lemonadep/twrp-3.7.0_11-0-lemonadep.img
4) Download Magisk apk file from here and save it to your platform-tools folder
https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/download/v25.2/Magisk-v25.2.apk
5) Click on the address bar of windows explorer and type "cmd" to open a command windows
6) With phone connected to PC, copy the magisk app to internal storage and then type "adb reboot bootloader" and hit enter
7) Once in bootloader mode, type "fastboot boot twrp.img" enter
8) once twrp loads, tap install and select the magisk app and install it then reboot to system
9) once OS has loaded, go into app drawer and tap on Magisk (looks like a green android icon) and follow the prompts,
10) Reboot and enjoy a rooted phone but not completely rooted!
11) Download the RO2RW script from here

I wanted to confirm that you don't need sim unlock to unlock bootloader. You can enable oem toggle with adb or one+tool and unlock bootloader and root. I did need to submit my token and wait a week. There have been recent reports of the unlock bin sent back from OnePlus automatically isn't right and people are reaching out to support to get the right bin back.
I submitted my token, flashed to EU, unlocked bootloader without token, rooted. Then when my token arrived a week later, I went back to stock Tmo rom, unlocked with token, and rooted.
(I monitored the requests for sim unlock to see if I could find anything useful. I monitored failures and successful unlock packets and then went back to EU rom)

I meant to quote you in my above post. Sorry
termux proot-distro can root as well but android kernel not rooted
you sure can root Tmo stock rom. the numbers may be differet but the iteration of firmware is the same on all variants. Its been a while, but, my first OP9P i flashed whatever. Just use the boot.img from AA or EU but be careful. It has to match. Example: Tmo 11.2.4.4 compatible boot.img with 11.2.8.8 AA/EU/NA. And so on.
For me, I'm lost with the newer firmwares and just got back. Will be converting cause Tmo wont sim unlock my paid off phone. Sick of Tmobile at this point

I thought I was buying an unlocked global version but goy the t-mobile version. Are there any options for unlocking the boot loader without an unlock.bin?
Additionally, once the bootloader is unlocked (if I wait for the .bin from OnePlus) what additional considerations are there for flashing firmware and rooting the device? I have been trying to sort through the forum with minimal luck.
It lools like MSM will not work without unlock.bin on A12 and later, is that correct?
If i unlock with unlock.bin can I use the OTA firmware from OnePlus site to flash and root, or do I need TMO specific firmware and where would that be located.
Any links to applicable guides would be greatly appreciated.

You are going to be ok. I have the OP9P with stock A13 with unlocked BL, rooted with magisk . Unfortunately I am leaving on vacation and will be limited when I can guide you along but be patient.
I just delt with this last week, and was able to convert to global and OEM unlock without having to use an unlock code from OnePlus or from tmo.
What you need to do is convert your model from LE2127 TO LE2125.
1. Download MSM for tmo OP9Pro, this will be handy if you mess anything up
2. I don't have a link but if you search TMO to EU MSM OnePlus 9 pro you should be able to find the right tool. You just run the MSM like you always would.
3. Now you can OEM unlock your phone by running the command `adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.qualcomm.qti.uim`
4. Your phone is now no longer TMO but will not work with a US sim card, so you need to convert it to global. You can just download the OTA from OnePlus official website and go to software update in settings and press 3 dots and press local update or something like that.
4. After installing global software, upgrade to newest software version via OTA updates
5. Once complete, reset phone through settings.
6. ???
7. Profit
If you need any help with any particular step let me know
I have the TMO to GLO MSM Tool and will give link tomorrow! I will be on the road for about 10 hours tomorrow, that is why it will take a bit to get the link posted to download the MSM Tool.
Give me a little bit and you will have the link. Don't want to keep you waiting.... Fastboot OEM unlock once converted. Enable developer options, USB debugging and OEM unlock....
Also if you want to get back to stock after unlocking bootloader, let me know....I have the answer for that too!
If you stay with Global, you might need to flash TMO modem if your carrier is TMO.
Here you go... TMO 2 GLO MSM Tool....
3.52 GB file on MEGA
mega.nz
So while I was waiting I got impatient and started playing around with different MSM packages. The problem I now have is that after flashing to either TMO or Global I can no longer toggle OEM unlocking.
The phone was network/sim unlocked before I started and now, even if I get onto an A11 non-TMO ROM I cannot enable the setting.
Edit: After reapplying TMO ROM and going online it has re-enabled. Will try the suggested path now.
Use the link I uploaded to go from TMO 2 GLO, if first try does not work, uncheck the "SHA" and check the "USE LITEFIREHOSE" boxes.
Be sure to read all that I have posted. Patience is the virtue to success...
I will get you where you want to be, but you must be patient!
