It has been a long time since Xiaomi 12X been published, and now I'm very proud to say here that the first beta unofficial ArrowOS release Xiaomi 12X has been released.
Bugs:
Bluetooth audio
Fingerprint
DT2W (Partially works)
Something important to know:
Prebuilt Vendor
Permissive SELinux (will be enforcing in the future)
OSS kernel
Please use EEA, GLOBAL, CN MIUI 13.0.3 or 13.0.5 as base firmware and use fastboot enhance to flash it.
NOTICE: THIS IS THE FIRST BETA VERSION, AND NOT ADVISED FOR USING AS A DAILY DRIVER.
In our testers' test, it is much better than MIUI, both in performance and in battery life.

We did it boys, this guy manage to bring the first ever custom ROM for the 12X
Yes. My 12x is arriving next week. Can't wait for a stable release. Keep up the good work. It is appreciated.
Really great news. But BT audio and fingerprint are absolutely necessary. Does the implementation only take time or will this never be able?

Awesome very much appreciated. Does it require an unlocked bootloader before flash?
I found the lineage repo on GitHub earlier this week searching for custom ROM, wondering where the thread was I was missing. Are you planning on Lineage OS rom too?

At first I was building LineageOS, but I think It's unnecessary for me to build it because I'm not going to apply for LineageOS official builds.
am so happy that custom rom development for 12X has started
I have never heard about Fastboot Enhance tool or fastbootD, but gave it a try and flashing your rom to experience it now

If you run into issue the rom doesnt boot and formating data from recovery doesnt solve it, boot into normal fastboot mode and perform fastboot erase userdata and then fastboot reboot. This is what made my rom boot

yep. That's a good choice.
great news, I hope everything will be fine. I had a few questions, there was information that xiaomi releases the source code of kernels with problems or inability to compile it, there is no such problem with 12x? And is there a device in the hands of the developer or is it based on poco?
ps. Will there be any difficulties after the release of android 13? Does xiaomi post new kernel versions or something similar?
nice rom
im looking forward to fix bug(bt audio)

Xiaomi didn't release their android 12 kernel Code for this phone, only 11.
I made a post asking for it on the mi boards:
[Psyche] Android 12 Kernel Cod
Unfortunately the community around this phone is not huge or active...
It is shame. I really like this phone and looking forward to a custom rom.

They both result in:
Please fix the download link(s) in the next 5 days. Failure to fix them will result in the thread being closed and all links being removed. Never fear, even if your real life is too busy and you can't fix the links within five days, just Report the OP and we can reinstate the thread and you can fix the download link.
I'd like to suggest someplace different than WeTransfer due to the quickly expiring links. AFH (Android File Host) is free and has served me well for eight years or so. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a PM.
Cheers,

hello Openkirin team,
First i want to say thank you for your hard work !
i have a question :
Did you have fix the usb-headphones issue ?
Awesome work OpenKirin. Got my boot loader code before it became null and will go custom soon.
Any chance in the future we will get some sort of desktop like EMUI desktop for custom roms?

Unfortunatly this is a rom specific feature - which won't be available until some project like lineage decides to do something similar, however you should be able to mirror your screen through wifi or hdmi - did i mention the new builds (b5 los, b2 rros) includes free form window support?
Regards

Free form window is a nice addition! I must have missed that in the change logs, it's hard to decide between each ROM all seem perfect at this point, awesome job too btw without you guys I probably wouldn't have even bought my Mate 10 Pro

I found the quality to be about the same, but no where near as stable. The AI scene selection doesnt work.
It crashed on me a few times during a video record and I missed an important moment.

we'll try to improve the app stability in the future.
But for now the emui camera app is only meant for basic picture taking close to stock camera quality snaps.

I'm using OmniRom Beta 2 and it's bloody fantastic, just about everything functions as expected and it's quick as hell. My device won't enter deep sleep though, any ideas?
help please

Hi
Can I check with you that your password can be used for your Mate 10? As I understood that Mate 10 Unlocking password expires on 23th July 2018!!!!
I got mine before the expiration date but I have forgotten it totally ....! Until now, I might consider Openkirin custom roms!
Thank you for your advice - -

If you requested the unlock code before they closed the request page then your code is good, the unlock codes don't expire it's the site that expired as in there's no way to request it off Huawei themselves anymore
Hi there! I appreciate all the hard work here.
Running RROS and the IR blaster doesn't seem to work. Is this an issue specific to this ROM? Does it work on LOS? Thanks!
With the announcement of ParanoidAndroids Oreo ROM (currently only for Sony devices), is there any possibility of us getting it on our Mate 10 Pros or is it too early to tell at the moment?, I know you guys had super stable PA ROMs for earlier devices such as the P9 & P8 Lite :good:

Hi,
thank you for your time / work.
i have installed your Rom. looks nice, works pretty fast so far.
the only problems i am having:
- camera there is no possible video recording and quality of pictures is really poor.
- slow charging or at least it writes like that (71% battery and too full 10 min)
- dialer, there is no option to put call to the speak or cancel the call!
to be fair, first Customer rom based on the Android 11 which recognizes the SIM cards.
having joyeuse - QJZMIXM,
Installed via Orange Fox Recovery Project.
RN9Pro Global.
and the most important.
Happy / Healthy 2021!
In how many weeks we can expect official version?
Thank you for providing this ROM! Great to see this effort and things moving on with our device. Working camera is a deal breaker for me, so I'd be happy if this could be fixed soon.
I'll be happy to donate as well once I use it on my phone to support your work (I don't donate upfront though any more as I've had a couple of time bad experience here, when doing so).

Hi people,

Need this before playing flashing
-Do you know if Los or /e/ os will make soon a rom for FP4 ?
-Can i use GSI Los image in the meantime (Andy's Los 18 for example) ? If so what are the steps for flashing? Do i need a twrp ? I already try flash the GSI system image but i have a partition error.
Thanks.

The same person that shared with me the info on Discord has built it's own LOS 19 GSI, but he doesn't recommend to use it, cause you should build it for your own device. I'm gonna try to build one, with this tutorial

An unofficial TWRP if avaliable on FP forums, so if you want to have a look to it, feel free to do it
I never tested it, i'll wait since a flashable stock ROM is uploaded
Thanks for the reply and help, its seems to be on very early dev. I guess i will wait for an official package from Eos, Los or Iodé. In the meantime just debloat the stock rom.
Have a good day.
Iodé is based on LOS, afaik, so I think nothing will come before LOS
But I never tried it and I think that could be interesting to test it
Have you ever tested it (on another phone)?

Good news Eos make it available since yesterday for FP4.
I'm in and works like a charm.
I just don't understand why won't they release device source trees on launch? And send some phones to lineageOS devs?
OnePlus does this and lineageOS is available at launch. FP seems to be becoming an iPhone.

No, they just don't have the money to do so. They are working hard on releasing a flashable ROM

I read on the Eos forum that the rom and instructions to flash Eos were put online at the same time that they ship the phone with the Eos system already installed (if you buy one directly form their shop). As a sync launch.
About Fairphone, they don't really want to put effort on dev Os. They tried by the past but seems to be hard to maintain. Some teams as Los or Eos did it on a full time job. Eos and Fairphone works together. Maybe Los and fairphone don't

to fully answer your question, at Fairphone we do not work on alternative OS options.
The so-called custom ROMs are the responsibility of their developers. In your case, you can reach out to Lineage to see if they plan to release one for the FP4.

Their problem is that they have priorities. We, custom ROM users, are a minor part of their users. So they do what they need to do first. That's it.

This is very interesting, an Android 12 build for Olives, I'm tempted to install this. Thanks for posting your work!

Any reason you don't want to use the official links posted?

seems you got them mixed up, dot 6 (this thread) is unofi whereas the ofi is still 521
that question should be asked to the op, dont know how well dot handles things, but another rom thread here did switch maintainers

Yeah, my bad.
What I meant was that there are two links in the first post, may not be an "official" release but the links are working.
Really interesting Android 12 ROM.
@rajsharma55 Did you plan regularly updates?
Really cool system. Love Android 12 and the dotOS works fine.
But found 2 bugs:
Whatsapp - If i want to change the sound to another song, it doesnt play the sound in the menu ...
In the sound menu under settings: cant activate "Now Playing", so that it can identify songs in the near ... the
button doesnt react to the touch.
Wifi, LTE (VoLTE) and BT is just working fine. Calling is a bit ... weird. I can hear me a bit if im speaking, so like
im singing in a movie theater ^^
But so far, i love the system. Hopefully we get some fixes, updates (security and so) and maybe its getting
official, would be nice. Thanks so far
-- Edit -- double post ..idk why
Would it be possible to include the original dotOS boot animation instead of the android one?
I have the previous version of dot Os and I want to try this one.
When will the official dot os 6 be available ?
Seems there's no update since months...
I've tried this version of Dot OS on my redmi 8, but it continually reboots on recovery mode. The zip signature is not valid. I don"t see any other version of android 12 for Redmi 8

is it a corrupted zip? or is it a device missmatch?
there are quite a lot of a12 and a13 for olives, but most dont visit here often
Hi
Thanks for the answer ; I don't think it's a device missmatch, I have a11 (official dot os 5.2) on my redmi 8. TWRP says the zip signature is not valid, but if I do flash without checking zip signature, it flashes without error, but continually reboot on twrp
I don't see a13 for olives, nor a12 apart from this forum

I'd like to clarify why I started this thread...
@jomadeto was providing us with crDroid's images for Xiaomi Mix 2 (chiron), however now he doesn't have the time to do it, so we have agreed that I was going to build A11 images where he left it so that people using crDroid could have security updates.
He was doing a great job, he even had A12 almost ready, it was only lucking proximity sensor support, however... he recently started poking me about A13 builds around, so we started looking at it.
With @jomadeto pushing me in the Android 13 direction and urging me to test crDroid 9... we have worked as a team and have managed to bring up our first Android 13 release, based on the great work that the LineageOS guys had done for LOS 20. So, we have released crDroid 9.1 and we will be releasing 9.X versions as default from now on.
While the plan is to continue building crDroid 7.X for some time, we'll eventually stop building it and only build 9.X, so... whenever you feel confident... you can upgrade, however, please note that to get from A11 to A13 you'll have to format, dirty flashing is not supported, so making a backup before the upgrade is always a good thing.
Enjoy our Mix 2 with crDroid under A11 or even better, A13.
Regards.
Thanks guys, really appreciated.
I hope someone can make the proximity sensor works on A12 or A13. In any case it is important to have a perfectly working A11 crDroid with security updates.
Hi!
Very good news, we've been testing the new Android 13 code and we are getting ready to do the jump!
That's why I'd like to ask for testers before we upload it for everybody.
If you want to be a tester you have to contact me on telegram but... I don't use this nick there, you'll have to look for the guy with my avatar on crdroid's channels.
Otherwise... Just wait a bit and you'll get it anyway. crDroid is releasing 9.0 this month, let's see if we can get there in time, if not... We'll be there for 9.1 for sure ;-)
Anyway... For those that don't like to hurry... I plan to continue building 7.X for some time after we publish 9.X.
Regards.
Hi!
I have just uploaded verision 7.26, if you are a cautious guy that's your version right now. But if you are brave and intrepid, maybe you want to help us test version 9.1, we believe it is ready to be uploaded, but we'd like to test it a bit more.
If you want to help testing what will become the official 9.1 version if we don't find any weird surprise... just drop me a private message here or on telegram.
Enjoy. Regards!
Well... I hadn't planned to do it so soon, but there haven't been a lot of testers, so... here we go, even though I'll be building 7.X for a while.... the default will now be 9.X.
I have uploaded 9.1 a while ago, and I'll edit the thread in a while, but just to warn those of you that have seen it already and want to update... you cannot do a dirty flash, you'll have fo format data and system (this means erase it all), so... backup to be able to recover whatever you want or if you want to go back
Thanks to @jomadeto for pushing so hard these last days, we make up a nice team
Hope you like it.
Waiting for 9.X, so excited. Good job guys. Hope this ROM won't be abandoned fast
Btw I want to ask you guys, if you know where I can get ROM for xiaomi redmi pro with android newer than A6? If not then this phone is going to trash bin
Thanks, that's very good to see this old device still getting updated by guys like you.
I will try it as soon as possible !
I follow the install procedure. 1.formatting data 2.wipe everything reboot into recovery 3.flash ROM 4.flash Gapps then reboot to system. after that twrp becomes encrypted
After flashing crdroid my phone boots with gray screen (my screen was replaced so I can only run orangefox beta twrp)

I revert back to the previous ROM with the same twrp and procedure
I am using orangefox R11.0.0
I have done a full wipe, flashed the ROM, then gapps.
But is there any way to decrypt the partition with the recovery ?
Do I have to use the defaut recovery from the front post : https://sourceforge.net/projects/crdroid/files/chiron/recovery.img ?
And by the way, the rom smooth as hell ! I love it ! Thanks bestiatester and jomadeto
Thanks for the work. But this build seems to drain the battery faster than A11. The A11 consumes 3% for one-night standby while A13 is about 7%. I just install NIKI Gapps and nothing more. Any advice?
Try again your test because for me the battery drain is very similar to the crdroid 7

Hello. After various tests of Android 12 and 13 builds, I find that they all held less battery than Android 11 (specifically CrDroid). For me it was 4-4.5h SOT on 11, and an average of 2.5-3 on 12 and 13. Now I have LineageOS 20 (although I plan to change to CrDroid 9), which holds quite well, because 3h SOT. I will add that I use many Google services, which will certainly lower this result.

That's weird, which recovery did you use to flash Crdroid 9? Have you installed Magisk as well?
