[Help] Indian Apps not working on TMobile S4

Good evening all,
I have a friend who possesses a T Mobile Galaxy S4. He purchased this phone while he was on onsite assignment in USA.
Now he's come back to India and he's using this phone here.
The issue with his phone is, whenever he tries to download regional apps (Indian apps like Tata Sky, mIndicator etc.), play store does not allow him to download and he receives the same message that everyone else who try to download US specific apps from non US locations.
Could anyone let me know whether the issue is with hardware or Google Account?
If the issue is with Google Account, could you please tell me how to get rid of this issue?
PS: He is also planning to flash CM11 and asked me for help. Do I need to unlock the bootloader of TMo GS4 before flashing CM11 or Paranoid Android?

I can't help you on the regional apps, but as the bootloader goes; it isn't locked in the first place regardless of what Android version you're on.

The issue is similar to what non US users face when they try to download US specific apps. Just in reverse.
Is there any option in Google Account details that needs changing?

SmartWorld not working

Hey guys, I won a G4 trial edition (input jealousy here) and it's been great, but I am having issues with SmartWorld. When I try to download something, for instance a theme, it says my device is not supported. Has anyone else had this issue? Or maybe its just because I have the trial unit?

I also have a trial edition and am unable to install anything from Smartworld. Actually, United States isn't even an option for me to select either lol. I'm guessing because it's not officially release yet here?

I have the International H815 (recently purchased from reputable seller) and have the same issue. It seems that Smartworld detects the IMEI or model number and then doesn't even give an option for the US and I can't find any way around that.

i live in greece and had no problem to register.i just choose united kingdom.the trick for me was to give my google mail(.com) and not my yahoo mail(.gr).when you open the app through the phone go and choose a theme,the app will ask you to sign in but just under t there are 3 option.the one i choose was to create a new acount.then a screen popped out with region(europe,asia etc) i choose europe,after that united kingdom.i endered my google account and then a message came asking me to verify the account through my e-mail.just to inform you there tons of apps and things to see in there.i was 3 hours playing with this smartworld.

I registered my H815 for smart world using my gmail account ( I live in Ireland) and when I tried to download a theme it persistently comes up with "unsupported country". I've contacted LG customer support who replied quickly looking for me to confirm my imei, place of purchase etc then a day or so later another response saying how strange this is and that they have escalated the problem to tech dept but have heard nothing since..........The saga continues!
When (if) I receive any further information from LG I'll update here.

I have H815 and I'm in Argentina. I brought my LG in USA; it's the international version. It's working perfectly fine, but the Smart World application does not have Argentina as a country option, so I cannot use it, which is strange anyway because the phone operators already offer the G4 in country...any though?

My G4 died on me due to the bootloop issue and, as of now, LG will not fix it since it's an international edition. I was able to get smartworld to work. I registered with a different e-mail address and chose a different country (I believe I chose Korea). I was sent the verification e-mail then went into smartworld and I could get fonts and everything else that was there. The only thing is that some of the menus are in Korean so I just clicked until I saw something I wanted.

Google Assistant in Redmi Note 8 Global

Hi everyone! Can you help me out, I tried enabling the Voice Match feature of the Google Assistant to use the "Ok Google" function, but it tells me that my language isn't supported.
The Language has been set to English US and UK, none worked.
My current region is Philippines, however.
How can I make it work while leaving the region to Philippines?

I have a red magic 6 EU last ROM.
Have you tested NFC for paiement and is it working ?
I had it on my old phones (Poco F2 Pro and Poco X3 NFC using Google Pay and it was working fine but I have never been able to use it on the RedMagic.

is there a switch to enable it ?
My google pay account is configured but when I place the phone for a paiement, there is no reaction even a failure notice or a refused payment

Question 9Pro and Google Voice

I have an unlocked LE2127 (tmobile) and bluetooth will not work with GV calls. While in a call It shows bluetooth active, but the handset is active. And, at this point you can't change to speaker.
I'm looking for info on updating to 13, but not found it. Not sure if this will help at all. Thanks.

Not a TMO, but if you convert to Global you can. There is a thread on converting to Glo.

If you decide to convert to Global, I have a modded MSM Tool that will get you started. Be sure to backup everything!

I used the app cloning software Island to make a clone of google voice, I dont know why but the island version of google voice works fine on my OnePlus 9 Pro but the non-sandboxed version does not... Its not a fix, but a workaround for now.

Can you elaborate? It looks like this app prevents cloned apps from seeing things like contacts. How could this work with GV?

It still sees your contacts as you have to sign in on the cloned version of GV, and when you get an incoming call you will see a personal and work version of the app; answer the call with the work version and all sound is supported. Before this, GV was just about useless on my OnePlus 9 Pro
