Sorry but I still don't understand what this feature stands for ???
Is this flashlight related with the camera or anything else ?
I know my Galaxy Note 9 has a blue led light for notifications when I receive emails as example but I don't seem to have this on my A52S 5G... ^^

The brightness is stuck at level 1 so when you take a night photo there is no light in picture
Arobase40 said:
So this has nothing to do with led brightness but is related with camera flashlight which is not the same thing.
On my side I don't even have an option to change the level of the flashlight, but different options : No flashlight, automatic flashlight and flashlight on !
With the last 2 options : flashlight starts low and is getting brighter when the camera is ready to take the picture which exactly the same as with my Galaxy Note 9 !
So are we talking about stock samsung camera app or about another camera app such as with GCam or any other ???

It's the same thing if the flashlight brightness not working and it's stuck at level 1 when you take a photo with stock app it remains at lvl 1 its software issue I guess cause after flashing fresh Rom at service center it works I don't know what causing it all though we are talking about a52s in Note series never have these problems
Arobase40 said:
I own both A52S and Galaxy Note 9 and the camera is behaving exactly the same with both phones and I can't find an option to change the flashlight brightness. Try to set the flashlight to automatic or to ON, then take a picture from inside your room (with low condition) and watch if the flashlight is working or not...
BTW, what is your firmware version and from which country your phone is from ?
As a last resort, you can first try to reset your app camera settings and if nothing changed, do a full backup of your apps and data and do a full factory reset... ^^

Hold still your flashlight toggle and you will see it I am from Greece latest software may security update reset don't work it needs flashing the rom but if I am gonna do this every week fok me from my experience it's software bug maybe in kernel level
For me camera app always use the same strenght flash, no matter what level i set up in the flashlight toggle in the quick settings. You might have a hardware problem.

Try flashing stock firmware via Odin if it happens again. Choose CSC not HOME_CSC to clean format. First take a backup as it will completely wipe all your data.

Well as the topic states, there's green overlay / green tint on certain apps when you have frame rate set to 96 / 120
I'm on the s20 ultra , dual sim exynos variant
How to replicate :
1. make sure you're running 120fps
2. brightness i reckon should be below 30% or so
3. open telegram, open any chat and click the attach file button
4. green overlay will appear ; refer to the images below
i. no tint

Hope Samsung is aware of this and does something about it.

Added list of apps which are facing this bug
- Attach file section in the Telegram app
- Adding card section in the Samsung pay app
- pubg
- snapchat
- google maps
Snapchat as well. I've switched to1440p/60hz for now.

Before the latest update it was fine.
@trapcoder666 I didn't have this problem at ATCH. This is probably the fault of the software, not the hardware / display.

Need some to tweet this thread to samsung.
Saw many reports on the samsung forum but they never got back to the users. Always with the generic reset your phone replies.
Good that gsmarena has now picked up this thread
https://www.gsmarena.com/some_samsu...ting_a_green_screen_tint_issue-news-42675.php
Im pissed off at Samsung yet again! I pre-ordered s10+ last year and the camera was ****, so returned it.But after looking at the ads and leaks of s20 ultra I was really impressed and pre-ordered it. And this is **** too, and when I see the comparisons between the SD and Exynos- it frustrates me even more. I mean for the same hefty price why arent we getting the same performance? Battery is **** even at 60hz, less than a day! And I see these random issues
- Autofocus wasnt even working after the latest update ATCT
- Editing and saving a contact doesnt save the new information
- Opening a contact page sometimes displays empty fields
- Switching off the notifications for an app from the notification bar (long pressing) doesnt turn off the notifications
- Green tint issue like this
- Night mode doesnt work sometimes, the pictures come up dark as F***
- I also faced in night mode the shutter button doesnt respond sometimes, I have to click it several times
- And the fingerprint, omg so laggy
- And the 'swipe down anywhere on the screen' to get the notification centre doesnt work. I have to like restart the phone to get it to work
Hi There,
I am new on the android scene and I have recently got my first Moto G7 Power and flashed Lineage OS onto it without GAPPS as I am not a fan of Google. Once the OS is installed on the device everything seems to work fine and I have had no issues with it. No today I didn't charge the device and the device died. When I power the device on everything is normal and then I lock the device display. When I go to check my next SMS message I find that the colours on the display are all messed up. It is kind of what I expect out of a computer when there is a graphics rendering error. I have some photos below;

I can get the display back to normal with a reboot of the device however after the first lock of the device the display does this again and I have not been able to get it back to normal
Any assistance is appreciated :fingers-crossed:

Thank you for your response.
I did follow all of the instructions in the documentation linked. I have not used the "Get Help" options as I didn't see those till today. I will also post this to these communities.
Additional information I attempted to take a screenshot of the issue though when the screenshot is sent to my computer the issue is not shown in the image.

I've been experimenting with the issue, and it possibly might be a conflict with the screen saver and the main display, as I think when the screen saver kicks in, it adjusts/shuts off the colors to the monochrome of sorts we see when it "bugs out". I tried shutting of the screen saver (Go to the options"Display-Advanced-Screen saver-When to start" and click "Never."), and it seems to be good for the moment. Not sure if this will hold as a temporary solution, as I have only been testing for a few minutes putting the phone to sleep and waking it several times, but I might be on to something...

This problem is happening with me too, it is when I plug the usb cable and block the phone, when it wake up the display are messed. Reset is normal again. Tried to turn off screen saver but it didnt help.
I'm experiencing this problem with other situations too. After more tests I saw in another site this workaround: Change your color profile [Display] -> [Advanced] -> [Colours] from 'Natural' to 'Saturated' and back. Colors will return to normal. (https://gitlab.com/LineageOS/issues/android/-/issues/2832)
After doing that and what PhoneThe4th said I am not experiencing the problem.
Sorry, I didnt know how to delete this message and use only my upper message.
Sorry, but the above answer is only a temp fix.
Try this:
System - Buttons
( long-press all buttons, to see menu)
Back long press action-Kill foreground app
Home long press action-Kill foreground app
Recent long press action-Kill foreground app.
I did this yesterday (1/10/2022) .
Still working.
I've been working with the new update the last few days, and noticed some odd changes made by Samsung.
Most annoying is this huge gap between my toggles and brightness slider/notifications. I have disabled the media controls and have no background apps running.
I think they attempted to make notifications easier to access for one hand operation, but we need a way to change this! Or give me the option to add all of my toggles into the gap!

I think it's the place for "Device and Media buttons". Try to activate in "Quick panel layout". There's "Show device and media buttons above notification" option. Maybe on then off.
I don´t have that gap in my Note 10+. Just below the 6 icons I have the brightness slider. Weird.
No gap here either.
I have similar problem. Only that i have a problem with whole screen notification window even though it is empty.

That usually happen when no factory format is made between hard UI changes.
The objects and placeholders stay there even though they are empty. Have you tried a factory reset after UI3 update?
That also happened on KITKAT to Marshmellow and was a usual issue when the update wasn't factory reset afterwards.
The UI would update and new elements were put in place but the old ones would still be there and originated large gaps or invisible toggles.

You need to wipe cache and repair apps by plugging in the phone into PC, then turn off phone and hold launch button + volume up, fixed issues for me!

for me it is very annoying - previously I used to enter my password once a week and now it happens to me several times a day because the failure to recognize my fingerprint several times forces me to use a password (and I have a long one)
I have no problems with fingerprint recognition. But since I updated 4 days ago, the fingerprint reader didn't "light up" on turned off screen several times already.
I also experienced very heavy battery drain the day after I installed the update - 35% over night, then ~15%/hour during short geocaching hike. But rebooting the phone fixed that.
Other than that, I don't really see any difference in speed/performance - I feel it's identically great as it was before.
Oh and the new "pocket detection" screen with swipe up is really annoying and difficult to unlock.
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone else lost the ability to use the cellular band selection hidden network setting - under the Call Settings menu? I'm not able to access it in Android 13. It says the app is no longer installed.
This is the menu: com.samsung.android.app.telephonyui.hiddennetworksetting.MainActivity
Update went smoothly for me, no hiccups or crashing problems after it.
Biggest problem I've had so far, like jenda.69 mentioned, is the new accidental touch protection screen, not sure why Samsung felt the need to change something when it was already working well. I could not for the life of me unlock the screen.
Other than that, I'd say everything else is pretty good. Mini stutters from OneUI 4 are fixed, like the ones that happened often in the quick settings menu. Personally I prefer the animations from OneUI 4 but I don't have a problem with the new ones either. The new clock font options are pretty slick as well.
Lastly some nitpicks; The default animated call screen is gone which is a very minor thing but I did like that gradient animation a lot and how it changed according to contact pictures. New one is pretty dull. Samsung didn't make use of the new Android 13 media player either which is kinda disappointing but I don't have too big a problem with that.
Overall a decent update. 9/10 has a little something for everyone
Update v3.18 just dropped via ota, up from v3.12. Happy updating!

To me
Afterparty launchers didn’t carry some gestures from the original launcher (swipe apps and accidental touch)
Some mistakes in some translations and some margins in some buttons
Kill all apps button in the show all apps screen didn’t work properly
Audio problems with some dongle dacs (though don’t think it will be addressed)
Security patch from November (i mean… not a biggie but still its nice to be updated)
Notifications not showing up from time to time
Don’t know if anyone else experienced this but sometimes the brightness “flickers” or dims up and down in low light condition, don’t know if anyone else addressed that
That’s all i remember as of now
Security Patch is January 1, 2023
Performance seems fine so far. Didn't have any issues before.
