I have my old Samsung Note 9. I was wondering if there was a way where I can answer calls from my Note 9 on my Z Fold 3. Any ideas? Cheers
That is possible, if both devices are logged in with the exact same Samsung account

In my note 2, when I select a phone number from the call log, I would like to see time details for every time I have called or sms'ed that phone number. This was available in my Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 phone which had Gingerbread OS. But in Note 2, the call log mentions all the calls I have made but when I tap a particular entry, I get details for only that entry.
Exactly! This feature was removed since the introduction of ICS. I've no idea why a perfectly working thing needed to be modded in a poor way. Anyway, I don't know anything could be done, maybe there is a csc code to change it, maybe not. But you could use a third party dialer, like exDialer or Touchpal to have that.
'Continously inputted' from my GT-N7100
I like the idea of this phone, and am interested in buying one. I'm hoping those who have them can help me with these two questions:
1. For those who use google voice: Does the outgoing call display the correct number, or does it display the google voice gateway number, like the Galaxy S3 or Galaxy Note II?
2. Does AVRCP work? Can you see the title of the song and so on (AVRCP 1.3)?
Thanks!

1. Google Voice Controlls what the Outgoing call displays and what number and not the phone, It will display what you have it set too.. That does not depend on the phone.
2. Have not tried it but it should.

you can't just put a different carriers sim in the device, you have to SIM unlock it first, and it's my understanding that the FCC restrictions on sim unlocking are pretty specific. call AT&T tell them you need to use the devcie over seas see if they will give you the unlock code, or there are several options out there for unlocking just google "Galaxy Tab3 SM-T217A SIM Unlock", You'll get about 68,400 search results.
As far as I know, the t217a does not have voice capabilities. I use a voip app that allows me to call via data services. I use google hangouts for instant messaging. I do know that text will work but I do not have text on my plan so I don't use it. Hangouts will handle sms now. I have been told that the t217a does not have the hardware for traditional voice services but I don't know if that is true or not.

The SM T217A does indeed have a built in phone but it is locked by the carrier. Once you have unlocked the tab the phone capabilities are also unlocked. Although you may look pretty silly using this big brick as a phone in public

Ive unlocked it and there is no DIALER, SMS works well with hangouts or go sms pro.
You can not make calls on this tablet unless someone makes a ROM for it with the dialer not stripped down like the one in stock rom (unlikely to happen).
In my experience, if you call this tablet from another phone it wont even ring or anything till the carriers voice mail kicks in, this means the phone in this ROM has been permanently disabled.
Also there are NO free ways to unlock it, cheapest one is 19usd(USB reading of NV files), let me know if you want it to hook you up.
did you Root Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 SM T217A for using SMS function from Hangouts ?

Can you please tell me did you use hangouts after rooting the tablet ?
I have installed the version with SMS from android authority but can overwrite on tab by doing that i am not getting the option of SMS or any thing similar to it, so i thought so it might be done if i first root the tablet and completely removed hangout & then again install it, might it work or not sure lol a help would be greatly appreciated, Thank
Just updated A50 with latest OTA update and it mentioned that it includes Call and messaging continuity, what is this feature?
How is it useful?
It is for responding to calls and messages on other Samsung devices, similar to Apple's continuity feature. However, I think it is presently limited only to the Samsung Tab S5e, so it is practically useless.
You can use it on any Samsung Devices that support it. S10, Gear, Tab etc. All you need is to be signed with the same samsung account throughout.

Hello all,
I think what I'm trying to do may be impossible but unsure.
I have a Huawei P30 Pro and a galaxy LTE 46mm.
Wherever my phone is connected to Bluetooth with the watch, all my text and call notifications come through fine. Whenever connected over a network, sending and receiving calls works fine, however I can't receive texts. I can send them through the watch built in messaging app but if someone responds the watch isn't notified while the phone is.
I am using numbershare if that matters at all.
I think the problem is that I'm not using Samsung's own messaging app myself but not sure. I've downloaded an APK for it but it won't launch anyway.
Thanks!

Nevermind figured it out. Had to enable the sync with Samsung account feature in the wear app
Glad you got it sorted! My texts work stand alone or with my OnePlus 7pro.
Hi, may I ask which carrier are you using for number share between hua Wei p30 pro qns Samsung galaxy watch LTE?
