Galaxy watch LTE text with non Samsung phone - Samsung Galaxy Watch

Hello all,
I think what I'm trying to do may be impossible but unsure.
I have a Huawei P30 Pro and a galaxy LTE 46mm.
Wherever my phone is connected to Bluetooth with the watch, all my text and call notifications come through fine. Whenever connected over a network, sending and receiving calls works fine, however I can't receive texts. I can send them through the watch built in messaging app but if someone responds the watch isn't notified while the phone is.
I am using numbershare if that matters at all.
I think the problem is that I'm not using Samsung's own messaging app myself but not sure. I've downloaded an APK for it but it won't launch anyway.
Thanks!

Nevermind figured it out. Had to enable the sync with Samsung account feature in the wear app

Glad you got it sorted! My texts work stand alone or with my OnePlus 7pro.

Hi, may I ask which carrier are you using for number share between hua Wei p30 pro qns Samsung galaxy watch LTE?

[Q] Receive phone calls and SMS

Hello everybody,
I just got my N7 WiFi and are wondering if there is any way i could receive my phone calls and sms`es from my Xperia Z1. I always have my phone with me and its always conected to hotspot.
I use my tablet alot and it would be great if i could receive calls and sms on my tablet instead of switching device all the time.
I hope there is some app/mod for this and i appriciate all answers!
Thank you,
anyone??
@Smurflin96
for calls you can forward your number to Google Voice and use Grooveip to make the actual calls from the tablet i think the paid version has texts too
for texts you can use
1)SyncSMS(Requires internet on both)
2)TexTab(Bluetooth)
if it's WiFi only you won't be able to use any form of text/message/call service as that uses gsm and the WiFi version doesn't support that, hardware wise, there is no chip for it! It can't work.
You'd have to use something internet based like skype or viber
You could try Mighty Text (Free) or Tablet Talk ($2.99). They both pretty much work the same way but Mighty Text uses a server to relay sms and tablet talk is direct using wifi or bluetooth. With Mighty text I know you can see who's calling you but I'm not sure if you can answer the call. I know tablet talk you can if you have it set up to do so. I tried both and I ended up liking Tablet Talk more but you should give them a try.
U can text from your Google voice account if u have one. As far as calls Im not sure..

Last ditch effort... Need help with messaging and voicemail please

I guess this question is for both this and the new Galaxy watch forums... Here goes.
I use the s9 on Tmobile and just picked up the new 46mm LTE watch. 2 problems I can't solve for the life of me.
1. SMS...Each and every time my watch switches from Wi-Fi/Bluetooth mode, I receive dozens of old, sms messages. When my watch is connected to the phone and not using its LTE function all seems to be ok.
2. Voicemail... I can't seem to figure out my voice mail setup. I have tmobile and the visual voicemail app from the carrier on my s9. I get a voicemail. Easy enough. But I get notified, at least I think, from 2 different apps. One app transcribes the voicemail and the tmobile app simply displays it for me to play. Does Samsung and/or Android have a native visual voicemail app? If so, I can't find it in my apps list.
3. Voicemail notifications... My watch with 1 swipe right, shows a notification that I have 1 voicemail. I can't swipe it away from the watch and I have triple checked my voicemail... I have no messages. But the notification will not go away.
I have hard reset both devices twice to no avail.
I feel like an idiot for not being able to solve these problems so any help would be greatly appreciated... Getting ready to go the LG/Android Wear soon ?
Is the time/date on the watch synced to the phone? Or at least correct? Can only think if the watch thinks they are new messages because the time/date of the phone messages are ahead of the time/date of the watches messages

Incoming Whatsapp, Skype voice and video calls not being notified on Galaxy Watch

Hi All,
I've been a long-time user of Samsung wearables and I know that ALWAYS I've gotten all incoming call notifications not matter where it comes from.....until now.
I have had my Galaxy Watch paired with my stock standard Galaxy S7 Edge phone for around 4 months now and I've noticed I never get a notification/vibration when an incoming Whatsapp call is ringing on my phone. The same goes for Skype calls. Instead, my watch just notifies me I've just missed the call after the caller gives up.
Normal telephone calls work as you would expect.
This was never a problem for me with the previous Samsung smartwatches I've owned.
I took both devices to Samsung in Hamburg and I took it to Samsung in Australia twice and they couldn't help me at all... The manufacturer of both devices are clueless and sent me away with no way of fixing it.
Anyone here noticed this able to help?
probably you already did it but if not, you should open the galaxy wearable app, go to setting -> notifications -> manage notifications and enable the apps you need.

Your right, I have done that. I've tried all sorts of stuff.
Samsung also have had my watch three times now and also couldn't get it to work. Their reply after testing it and seeing for themselves, 'no remedy'. My reply, 'yes remedy, full refund'. Their reply, 'no remedy, no refund, here is your watch'. Me, 'NSW Fair Trading complaint then' (I live in NSW, Australia).
Just out of interest, are you getting notified of all incoming calls on Whatsapp, Skype etc. on your watch?

Incoming calls whatsapp with s8+ not working for me with pie cause authentication for call notification is quiet and not changeable. In my opinion that's the problem why you get message notifications but no call notifications. I wished it would get a mod.

Anybody with SM-T837V making phone calls or texting with their Verizon #?

Anybody with SM-T837V making phone calls or texting with their Verizon #? I mean with any native app? I got Verizon with it and so it has a # for itself but I don't see any options to directly use it for calls let alone text.

From what I understand all carriers remove the phone and messaging apps and only allow tablets as data only. Only international unlocked tablets from overseas have phone and messaging apps. Now whether or not they could be added back through a new ROM is not yet clear.

Weta Rom has them
I'm using Pulse SMS as my default text messaging for my Samsung Note 9 and have it installed on my tablet as well as other devices, and I use it on my desktop through their web app or Chrome app. It works flawlessly. Much better than the current version of Android/Google Messages. Unfortunately, doesn't work for calls. I use Google Voice still for voice calls to/from all my devices. A while back, I ported my VZW number to Google Voice so I have more flexability on calling. My biggest frustrat the moment is that Verizon doesn't seem to be pushing out updates for the tablet like they do the phones. I'm a few months behind on the security patch for Android on this tablet. Not happy about it.
I have a Verizon S7 Edge cell, and was able to load Verizon Messenger Plus on my wifi Tab S4. It let's me send and receive texts using the Verizon cell number on the tablet. It used to let you make and receive cell phone voice calls over WiFi, but they disabled that feature.
Just get the T-Mobile version using Digits app to use S4 Tablet as a phone
I have it on my Galaxy Tab S4 works great not needing to bring phone along too,
But I bring it anyway...

So they have reactivated calling on the Verizon Messenger Plus app!
First, you need to specify a 911 address. The default is your billing address - which is my work office and needed to be changed to the home address. When you enable the calling function, you both receive calls to your cell (e en if the cell is powered off) and can place calls from your tablet.
The limitations:
1) There doesn't seem to be a way change away from the default ring tone. Maybe 8f you sync contacts with 6our phone?
2) There doesn't seem to be a way to independently set the ringer volume - it is loud and controlled by the multi-media volume. If you are listening to music or video and the multi-media volume is high, the ringer is high.
It is just a button push to turn the calling function on and off.

It's a known issue for years now. Samsung tries to pull the wool over your eyes when you talk to them about it. They tried to gaslight me about it but after I hit them with facts they just refused to acknowledge it.
