Question QPR Beta 3 or android 13 beta 1? - Google Pixel 6 Pro

I just got the notification to update to QPR Beta 3. I want to know your opinion on Android 13 beta 1 and if it's worth it to go in that direction instead.

I'm happy with 13 beta 1 with the QPR3 Beta 3 modem for the moment.

I haven't dropped a call in the usual spots yet. I'll take what I can get. My room is kinda **** for signals but the overall RSRP might be slightly better than before if only barely. A few dBm for near-threshold signals always helps.

I guess I'll update it when I get home tonight then

Do I have to opt out of android 12 beta QPR and wipe before I get an ota update to 13 beta? Because I've opted out of 12 beta and opted into 13 beta but I'm still only seeing an update to QPR beta 3
nvm i just got the 13 beta notification

Beta 1 gives me no service whatsoever. I'd be using it but I've tried flashing it over and over in hopes it would work but it just refuses to.

Hello, can you tell me how you flashed the Modem to the Pixel 6 Pro. Is there any description in this forum and can you upload the Files you have flashed. Thanks a lot and have a nice Day.

The modem is only one file from the factory image file that was mentioned. If you download the aforementioned factory image (QPR3B3), you'll notice that it's a zip file. If you look inside of that zip file you'll see the modem file with the word "radio" in its name. IIRC, it's "radio___bunch of numbers here___.img".
Essentially, you would copy that radio.img file out of the factory image zip and place/paste it into your platform-tools folder. Then, enable USB debugging in your phone's "Developer options" settings, open CMD with admin rights on your PC, navigate to the platform-tools folder, put your phone into recovery/fastboot mode and then flash the radio.img file using fastboot.
I can't get into more details at the moment as I'm currently at work . But if you need more help here, feel free to let me know =).

To flash the modem you have chosen (qpr beta 3 modem) use the following command, without the quotes.
"fastboot flash radio radio-raven-g5123b-100840-220427-b-8504179.img"

Is it possible to flash the modem with locked bootloader?

No, not by itself. You'd have to be in the beta and I don't recommend that with a locked bootloader.

Hopefully you guys are reporting this to and android team with the feedback apk

For me A13B1 is a good step ahead of QPR 12.1. Better battery, no overheating. Minor lags and stutters are there, but overall its great!

Having the USB C wired sound working with my headphones is an important feature for me, as well as the LDAC 990 codec. They are both working with the QPR Beta 3.
It seems that I read somewhere that those features weren't working with the 13 Beta.

Damn it and I just flashed and set up Freeza's latest
Also can we change the kernel
I took the ota update to 5.0+...I cant just simply flash this right? I just want to make sure so I don't waste my time. I would really love to try this rom
yea, I too was on 5.1.1 and now running Freeza's latest but would love to give this a run. Wasn't sure if I could just wipe and flash.

I like MIUI ROMS I tried it out not bad, it's just i don't like that you can't use other kernels and also it's kit kat
test this now you can just wipe and flash even if you are on 5.1.1.. the rom starts on right away in Chinese so you will have to change the language also data wasnt turned on after flash i had to turn it on tho i cant figure out how to get LTE i havent tested much yet but ill report back once ive test it more
Screens?
Ill post a few SS shortly
Edit:
Here are some screenshots
I cant download from this link doesnt move from 0% is there another one?

ooo it looks so clean! it's been years since I've tried miui (galaxy s1)
I do have the downgradeable bootloader and running 5.1.1 but I really don't think I can bring myself to go back to kitkat... I look forward to any possible lolly releases in the future. great work!
edit: I do have a question... has the download booster been enabled? the Sprint variant (910p) has not yet received a working mod although other Sprint devices have been successfully been patched to make it work (s4, s5, maybe 6 too?)

beta program

I don't know if this question has been asked and I've combed the threads. When the Android P beta program starts (hopefully tomorrow) will I need an unlocked bootloader for that? I'm currently on VZW's stupid locked bootloader.
I apologize in advance if this has already been answered. I know how you guys hate repeating yourselves.

I did the same exact thing with Oreo. Played around with DP1 but ran DP2 almost constantly until final. I flash different roms constantly, or at least I used to. But anymore vanilla Android is really my cup of tea.

Beta is open again but it's still linking to Developer Preview 1 and not the beta. Hopefully they get the new beta links updated today.
I'm using the beta now. Thanks everyone for your responses.
I am downloading the P DP2 now, and it will install. I am stock not rooted or anything.
Is there a way to make this a fresh clean install without having TWRP or root ?
I have a Verizon Pixel 2 XL. Will I be able to go back to Oreo fairly easily if I give the P Beta a try?

Why is there 2 release numbers for Q? Which one is the proper one to use for Google Pixel 3Xl.(not verizon)
TIA
According to what I've read .019 is for those who were already on the betas and .020 is for those upgrading from Pie.
Not true, as I was on the last beta and the OTA pulled down .20 for me....
Honestly, they are hiding something here given the fact that there is NO documentation. I just got off chat with Pixel support. After going round and round and the agent claiming that it all depends on a bunch of stuff according to her "resources" she asked the resources one more time and they said that since you are flashing manually they recommended downloading .20 even though it completely contradicts the numbering method of every other Pixel file since the beginning when there was more than one (agnostic was always the first or lowest number and carrier specific after).

I think we need to wait until we have the Odin images to flash that way
I'm not sure but from checking other similar threads this zip file would need to be renamed to update.zip or ota.zip and flashed from stock recovery from the s10+ or using command via adb. to push the update.

Just a heads up for anyone on Verizon looking to try the beta, the update providing goofwear regarding T-Mobile is indeed compatible with Verizon wireless. Flash it either through adb sideload or sd card as mentioned and it'll boot normally. No csc or sim card tricks needed in order for service to work properly. Phone boots up fine and no issues relating service. Thanks guys and thank you goofwear!
I was able to get this going as well. So far no problems. Only been about 20 minutes though.

So im finally unofficially ln the beta. After flashing back to BSI4 U firmware which wouldnt boot(after dirty flashing twice in a row lol) i was able to just use the update zip and it booted no problem. All is good. Like the new animations so far. Will post after using it some more. On SPR without any difference in signal so far.

Can i update to beta via that update zip.I'm currently on G975USQS2ASGK
I flashed my AT&T G975U over to the U1 firmware today since the unlocked version is part of the beta program, but the beta for unlocked devices has been delayed to "a later time".
So I got a question. If I flash back to G975U1 AT&T, and then update to this beta using the update.zip file what's the situation for future OTA updates? Since AT&T is not part of the public beta they wont be pusing updates designed to update this build. So I would have to Odin back to a AT&T release right?

The only difference from android 10 is you should now use the newest magisk v23 rather than the older one
I followed this guide exactly except skipped all the magisk workaround stuff and just used the latest version of the magisk app to patch the boot.img

It's late where I am, but tomorrow I may just try it and see if it will work. I'll read some more about it tonight and if I take the dive tomorrow I will report back to let others know.

After a bit of experimentation I managed to get it to work. Although you can't just `add sideload` it since the verification will fail. You'll have to unlock the bootloader and dd some partitions manually. Then once it thinks it's the global variant you can `add sideload`. I made a thread about it https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/turn-at-t-into-a-the-global-variant.4393631/
