I am using Cherish os 2.4 gsi on my Nokia 6 2018. Everything is nearly perfect, except a fingerprint gesture which i can not disable (wipe up - down to open notification panel). It is very annoying.
I tried many ways but most of them are not for android 11.
Is there anyone here who can help me? Disable the fingerprint sensor as well.

so i just wiped and installed viper 4.6. when i try to use the fingerprint login i get the error: fingerprint not enabled. fingerprint not enabled you have reached the maximum number of devices that can use fingerprint. you must disable one to enable fingerprint on this device.
i cannot find this anywhere. has anyone else come across this? how did you fix it?
Hi,
After setting up your fingerprints are you able to then change the lockscreen type to swipe but still have the option the keep the fingerprint data and 3rd party apps to access it, such as AppLocker?
My girlfriend uses that on her S7 (still on 7.1) and I want to get her an S9 for Christmas on that of course has 8. I know that on my M20P and Pixel 3 running 9.0 that it wont let me change to a non fingerprint lockscreen but keep the data
Thanks,

Sorry, Samsung no longer let's you enroll any kind of biometric data without also enabling lockscreen. If you disable lockscreen all your fingerprint, iris, or facial data is deleted.
What I do is set my S9 lock timer to 30 minutes, which is the longest lock interval. I also activate on body unlock detection. That way during the day I rarely have to unlock my phone. I have it set to use fingerprint or pattern unlock. But due to the 30 minute lock setting it's rarely locks on me. I prefer to use no lock security but this way I can still use fingerprint access for banking and other apps which require secure login. Kind of the best work around at the moment.
Hi guys,
Sorry for the stupid question... I had a xiaomi note 4 and I was using the finger print sensor to wake up the phone (without the fingerprint). On this device this feature never worked. I saw that there is a swipe for notifications on android pie (even on oreo) but It never worked for me. Is it just me? Is it the phone? When I was on oreo I did a factory reset but I still couldn't awake the device with the senson. Anyone can help.?
Thank you in advance
You have to enable it
head to settings and select gestures and enable swipe for notification.
It's enabled but still never worked. Does it work for anyone else?
Hi, anybody else with an issue to activate face recognition in the settings?
After update to One UI 5 (Android 13), I am not able to activate face recognition for unlocking the phone.
Also, I can't choose only swiping or turn off the locking.
These options are not possible to enable.
The passcode, pin and fingerprint work OK.
Any advice?
Have you configured intune/company portal?
Hello..there is a bug between fingerprint sensor and always on screen....i set my always on screen setting to tap to show...when i tap the the screen for first time, the fingerprint is come on bottom of screen and there is no problem...
if i dont use fingerprint and let the screen goes off, then after a while, for second time , when i tap the screen there is no fingerprint icon on screen and i cant use fingerprint....even if i dont tap the screen for second time, i cant use fingerprint after first time and i must double tap to make the screen on and use fingerprint...
the fingerprint set to always on
thanks
It's an old bug, reported a long ago.. i assume you are still in one ui 5.0? because it is solved in 5.1 update.
If you are yet to receive one ui 5.1, there is a workaround. Set your fingerprint icon to display "never" on AOD. It will bypass the bug and will not be an issue further.
