Need to S-Off my HTC Desire 820 Dual Sim - Desire 820 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I have the above HTC phone (A51_DTUL) running stock Android 6 Marshmallow. I have installed TWRP custom Recovery and have Rooted it as well. The HBOOT version is 3.19.
I want to install a lower version of HBOOT but, am unable to do so as it is in S-On status.
Is there a way to turn it off?
I searched a lot but could not find anything. Please direct me if there is a post somewhere for this phone or let me know any method that I can try. Thank you.
Can someone help on the above query please ?

Not sure if we can help you... this forum is for the US Verizon model and you seem to have a Chinese version of the phone. Just because it's the same phone doesn't mean the same methods work. You need to be S-Off to do RUU from what I understand, so if somehow you locked it back to S-On you might be out of luck. On the US Verizon model if you take the OTA while S-On you can't go back.

The SunShine developers haven't released a mod for the HTC Desire 820. If you install the app, it tells you that the SunShine database does not recognise the phone's model. We need an alternative to this. Somebody please test Firewater S-OFF and post ASAP. Even I am stuck with perm-root but no busybox, no bloatware removal, nothing. The phone just restarts on account of the S-ON.
Htc Desire s off
Why s off in this device is impossible????
Is not impossible, the s-off with xtc2clip can't be done.

s off
Hello....but with this method the phone switches from s on as s off or not ? I wish that the phone is s off..thank you..
No, it's only for removing bloatware.
For s_off you have to follow next process,

Htc desire 820 bootloader broken

I've got a small problem with my 820,
A few months ago I rooted my phone and flashed a custom recovery (TWRP), but since the new Android Marshmallow update I wanted to go back to like it came out of the factory. So, I removed TWRP and flashed the orginal recovery file from xda. The phone works fine now. but it won't update. Everytime I download the update & reboot the phone, it only boots in bootloader. And no matter what I select in bootloader(also the factory reset option), it instantly reboots in bootloader. Only with the option "check SmartSD" It boots back into the system, but it won't install the update. I also don't know what to do about the following notifications in Bootloader: "software status: modified" & "relocked" instead of "locked". I just want it to go back to stock so I can install the new update like anyone else. Anybody who can help me out? Thanks in advance!
i have the same problem with my HTC Desire 820 Dual Sim(India), unable to find the solution anywhere. please help guys... Thanks..
