Is there an LTE 'OFF' option? Connectivity issues. Warranty Claim?

So I was issued a warranty claim to return my Note 4 for a replacement due to not being able to make and receive phone calls and text messages.
The AT&T store has replaced the SIM card with NO fix to my problem so I was advised to get a replacement. My issue is that the device will be a refurbish and I don't like this option when I purchased a brand NEW one.
My question, is there an LTE on/off option somewhere? This morning I'm connecting to AT&T but it's Edge network only.
It'd be nice to solve this problem and keep my 'NEW' device instead of dealing with a refurb that may have unforeseen problems.
Is there an option in the *#0011# service menu?
Update after going into the *#0011# menu, I went into HW TEST MENU and chose Option 7 to 'NV REBUILD ALL'.
After reboot I seem to have full network functionality, even 4G LTE. So we'll see how long this lasts.
Goto Dialer then type *#*#4636#*#* then device info. Change lte/GSM to wcdma
The above update worked and has since choosing the option 'NV REBUILD ALL'.
So anyone who screws up their settings can always choose this to fix it.

That works perfectly.
Follow up question: is there a way to make a shortcut to this menu on the home screen?

I'm thinking if you add that number as a contact then you can add a quick dial shortcut to your home screen ☺
You may have to use another launcher as I'm unsure if TouchWiz has that feature.
Nova is an awesome launcher.
I'm using nova. Doesn't seem to work doing it as a shortcut to a contact. And none of the play store apps work.
Oh well, not that big of a deal to just dial it manually.

Accessing service menu

I was recently in Korea for work, so I picked up the G4 to bring back to the US. I bought it from SK Telecom, they told me phone should work globally. Now being back in the US, i popped in my Verizon Sim card and no mobile network is available. Phone is reading my sim and has the correct APNs, but still no connection. Does anyone know how to access the service menu to change bands?

I figured, but does anyone know how to access the hidden menu to view all the bands available?
5457#*500#
That should do however I can't access the main hidden menu to disable the throttling.
Thanks for the info 3rd degree.
I tried that on my H815 G4 but it didn't work (invalid code).
I also tried 5457#*815# but that didn't work either.
Unfortunately the 3845#*modelnumber# that always worked previously doesn't now. eg 3845#*815# just gives the invalid code error.
*Edit* the answer is in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/how-to-enter-g4-hidden-menu-t3122373
the code that works for me is 277634#*#

For some reason, field test isn't an option on my Tmo variant. Any ideas? (i'm trying to see what LTE bands are enabled)
anyone knows the marshmallow code?

Local Carrier just enabled eSim support, How to activate on device? No Menu option!

Guys,
So my local carrier just enabled support for eSim. How do I get it activated on the Phone?
To enable support, It's just one text message and they will enable it from their end.
But I don't see any option in my device, or in Settings app to enable this.
I tried searching for eSim, and I get to an app info page. Not the actual application.
Any help is much appreciated?

There is no actual app, its done from settings.
Perhaps you need to send the text to enable it, before the option appears on the phone.
When using project fi, it doesnt appear in settings until you activate the service (to switch between SIM/eSIM).
Ok, I've understood a bit by reading around.
So just because my Local carrier (Not Fi) enabled eSim support, It wouldn't work, Yeah?
It only works for Project Fi, Correct?
Your local carrier Etisalat, Dubai., has to provide an android app to do the SIM provisioning at the moment. Google still hasn't released an app that takes QR codes from carriers... Android 9 added APIs to widely support eSIM on Pixel 2 but it may take a while for carriers to come on board.

Not yet bruh , they are heavily invested with supporting Samsung.
I'm still fighting with them on weekly basis just to get VoLte support on the pixel 2Xl even tho it's working perfectly on my note 8. Been almost a year now with no progress what so ever.
I say give it some time (a year or so if lucky)

I'm 99% sure that the built in eSim can only be used with Google's Project Fi. AFAIK it can't be activated to other networks.

Secret menu? It's in the settings menu > network tab > call menu.
Well that's on my G7 purchased at Bell.
By the way, I'm using a theme but this is indeed a screenshot from the Canadian variant of the G7.

Don't think that's a setting we can change. As far as i know that's set by the provider via sim card settings or when they provision the phone. It's possible a new sim card may fix the issue...
Did you contact the provider you are using and ask them to fix (or look into) it?
Had the same issue today. Couldn't get RCS working with EE Uk. Easy fix. Put your sim in an iPhone or blackberry, settings, phone, edit your phone number, save, remove sim. Put sim back in your and reboot. You'd have to do this for both sims if you're using 2 sims in your note 10+. Voila!
