Recently I bought an S20+ without knowing it was rooted, obviously it carried some issues like not being able to use streaming services or the stuff protected by Samsung like the Samsung health, the thing is that even though the signal was working properly, being able to make calls an use mobile data, it just stopped working properly, my phone barely recognizes the SIM CARD as an unknown number, and it just barely works whenever the wifi call is turned on, when the wifi call is enabled, it recognizes the phone operator, and it's able to make calls and receive SMS, but whenever I turn of the wifi call, it just says only emergency calls, I appreciate your help!

Hello,
I have my phone for few weeks already and today i noticed one major issue. I will try to explain everything as clear as it is possible.
While i am on 3g network, there are no problems at all. I can make a call, i can receive a call, i can receive SMS etc... Everything works as it should be.
When i switch to 2g that's when the problem comes in. In the first 15 seconds after switching to 2g, i can operate my phone as in 3g - i can send and receive calls, i can send and receive SMS'es. After 15 seconds there is no ability to receive any call. The caller alway hears the same song: "the phone you are trying to reach is either turned off or out of radio coverage...". Also no SMS'es can reach my phone. Despite of this, i can send a call any time i want...
There's one thing i've noticed. When i turn my mobile data on - everything works just fine (you should be familiar with turning off mobile data function), but this is unacceptable to my mind. It seems that when i want to receive a call, i should be on 3g (doesn't matter if mobile data is turned off or on), or on 2g but with mobile data turned on...
I did one test - changed the APN's entry to a messy one, and left the mobile data on. Still wasn't able to receive any calls. Thats leads to a statement: while on to 2g, i have to be connected to the internet to receive a call, while on 3g, i can disconnect form the internet and still be able to receive all calls.
Additional info: HTC Desire - unbranded, non-rooted, stock ROM.
Can anyone help me to solve this issue?
It seems this problem only appears at home. At work (15 miles away form home) i can be on 2G and still able to receive incoming calls... Any ideas?
As the title says, I'm having issues making calls when my phone is on LTE, when it's not it works just fine and I can make calls but as soon as it goes over to LTE again I loose the ability. My data works fine and so do txt messages just no voice calls. When I try to make a phone call the phone just sits there at Dialing.
I'm running Sphinx ROM atm however this wold happen when I was on CM11 also.
Any ideas guys?
With Miroslav's rom I perform calls without trouble. But there is one glitch...After finishing a phone call, I might lose signal completely and the phone will reconnect to the network. This usually takes about 20 seconds before the phone is connected to the network and ready.
Hello all,
I have a T Mobile SM-N900t that was recently dropped.
Upon inspection, the phone began to overheat. I realized that the phone no longer connects to the carrier and just shows the "O/" [the line goes through the circle] where the signal bar should be.
When I activate airplane mode, the phone stops overheating. I can't make any calls at this point.
I can activate the Wi-Fi calling feature and receive and make calls. Also, I can get SMS only when I make Google Hangouts my SMS app. while in WI-Fi calling mode. This means the phone is off airplane mode.
I noticed that in Wi-Fi calling mode with NO airplane mode, the phone still gets warm, but not as hot as when I don't connect to Wi-Fi calling mode.
Things I have tried:
-Replacing the sim card
-re-inserting the sim card multiple times when the phone is off.
Things to note:
-The phone is rooted and has TWRP.
- I am still using the stock software.
-Baseband version: N900TUVUCNB4
-Android version 4.4.2
I don't know how to get this phone back to normal working order. I was thinking about replacing the logic board and assume that the chip which sends a wireless signal to the carrier is broken/bad.
Will flashing the modem help recover the device?
Any suggestions? TIA
My phone tries to always route calls and text messages through wifi when it is connected to one, even when connectivity is limited. So when I'm at work, I sometimes have trouble receiving text messages and calls, because of business wifi blocking certain things. Does anyone know how do I turn off wifi calling and text, permanently, so that the phone never tries to call/text via wifi?
**EDIT**: I think I am coming to realization, that it's not wifi, but a $hitty sprint network...
Currently I am in stock room.
My phone suddenly drops the network (Wi-Fi and cell network) but it is not in airplane mode.
I won't be able to receive any calls, but the caller will hear busy tone.
During the whole time my network shows few bars, but it is probably fake network.
I am just missing many calls due to this problem, and when some one notifies over other phone I will get to know and I will put into airplane more and back, the network resets and works fine.
Can anyone know what is the problem ??
I have reset my phone also, but of no use.
Thanks in advance.
