Question Outlook/Yahoo entries not showing in Google Calendar - Google Pixel 6 Pro

As per title, when I first setup my P6P, and setup all my email addresses, all the email accounts calendars were shown in Google calendar. Literally overnight they disappeared and I can't sync or see any other calendar events from my non Google accounts. Done the usual cache, clear, disable and uninstall etc all to no avail. Even checked all Hotmail and Yahoo standalone accounts.
Any ideas?

Yeah, my Outlook/Microsoft account also not showing in the calendar which is shame. I would like to receive similar message on always-on display for Teams meetings as I have got from Google Meet via Google Calendar.

My work email is through Outlook and it didn't show either. What I had to do was this...add a new Exchange account and sync the calendar. Let it sync and go refresh the calendar. It should show up shortly after all this.

I assume you mean add the account to 'Gmail'? It won't allow my Hotmail account to be entered in 'Exchange'.
When I add it in Gmail, I notice the option to sync only contacts and mail is there. No option to sync calendar is seen anywhere. I think this is where the problem lies.

No not in Gmail. In the phones Settings > Passwords & accounts > scroll down and select "+ Add account" > select "Exchange".

Birthdays in google contacts syncing to calendar?

Is this possible? Be it on the HTC Calender or Android Calender.
I use GMAIL to store all my contacts, be they phone or email and I also include birthdays. These sync fine to my phone and I can see them as contacts, inc their birthdays, but they don't appear is either Calender.
In Google Calendar (on a PC) go to settings then click "Browse interesting calendars >>" then click on the "More" tab and then subscribe the calendar "Contacts' birthdays and events" it'll show up as another calendar you can activate or deactivate on the phone.
In order to get the birthdays of your contacts in your calendar, you have to login to your google calendar with a browser (best to do it on a computer, don't know if it works on the mobile). In the Settings of Google Calendar, you have to go to the Calendars tab and choose "Add interesting calendars". Then you get a list of different calendars. On the "More" tab, you can select "Birthdays of contacts and calendars". By enabling this, you will get all the birhtdays of your contats in your calendar, also on your phone.
Note: some of the steps may be called a bit different as I have all the menu options of Google Calendar in Dutch.
I have a question related, I'd imagine that the desire would do it automaticaly, but it doesn't seem like it. Is there a was to sync facebook birthdays to google contact birthdays ?

Exchange working in Mail, not showing up in Accounts and Sync

I am having some weird Syncing issues that I wanted to see if anyone else has encountered and solved.
I loaded up Fresh's 0.2 ROM and loaded up my programs and settings with Titanium. My Exchange account is working in the "Mail" program, but the weird thing is its not showing up in the "Accounts and Sync" menu or syncing with Calendar.
I tried to add an Exchange Activesync account in the Accounts and Sync menu and when I did the fields were already filled out with the correct settings (fields were locked). When I press done, it just kicks back to the menu asking what kind of account I want to add to Accounts and Sync.
Any ideas?
When you open the account through the "Mail" program, can you get into the settings? You might be able to delete it and add it back in through "Accounts and Sync".

sync not working

hello all
got a problem with my unrooted, unbranded desire on uk voda pay monthly sim.
basically everytime i go to sync my google contacts i get the message "sync is currently experiencing problem it will be back shortly" now what makes this strange is that my wife and son both have desires same as myself and theirs sync fine. mine used to sync so am not too sure whats wrong or what to do
From your phone, log into your Gmail account where the contacts are stored. Once logged in go to the main menu on the device and select the contacts icon. Under contacts select the menu/options icon to bring up a list of available options. Under this list you will see an option for accounts. Select accounts, this will bring up all of the active e-mail accounts set up on the phone. Under the list of e-mail accounts select the Gmail account. Once the account is selected turn on the sync contacts option.
Now that the account is synced with the phone all of the contacts will be transferred to the device.
In my experience the above advice doesn't work as the sync in the phone is already set up and enabled and the only solution is to delete ALL contacts from the phone (including face book contacts) and start a fresh sync.

Duplicate Calendar Entries

I am getting duplicate entries in the calendar from my exchange accounts. Is this a known problem and is there a fix?
I have tried deleting the calendar storage and removing then re adding the accounts.
thanks
I have the same issue ... I thought it was because I switched time zones but can't confirm that.

I had that problem once before on my old epic. If I remember correctly it was because I had 2 accounts synced to my phone, Google and Yahoo? Now I just sync everything to Google only. I was also getting duplicated in contacts.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium
I think it is a problem with the S3 calendar app or the exchange sync. I have synced the same accounts on other android phones and have not had any issues with duplicate calendar entries. I sync my work exchange account and a hotmail account. This gives me my work and personal calendars. I only sync contacts from my hotmail account. I do not want to use google since I already have everything setup on my other accounts.
I will try doing some reconfiguring of the accounts tonight. I will post an update if I find anything interesting.
Re-Duplicate Calendar/Contacts entries from Exchange Server
Last week my S3 started duplicating both calendar and contact entries. This only occurs on my Exchange work email. I can clear out my contact and calendar storage and then resynch and it will be fine for a few hours. Then i will get duplicate entries. I did not reset my storage after seeing the duplicates today and now a third set of the same entries are showing up. Very frustrating. I have uninstalled the apps I've loaded in the last week.
I was rooted and had not downloaded any upgrades when this started. Yesterday I went back to the stock rom thinking that was the problem. It is still happening after I reset to stock ROM and downloaded the available upgrades.
This is very frustrating and it is odd that this started recently. Maybe something changed with corporate exchange servers in the last couple of weeks that caused this conflict.
Looking forward to a resolution.
I have the same problem. Now I have 8 times every contact and calendar entry. When I delete the account is working for some hours and then start dublicating as well. I have 2 exchange accounts, my corporate that I sync everything and my hotmail that sync only email.
I now only have one exchange calendar syncing and I am still getting duplicates. I have tried to reproduce the duplication by restarting and re-syncing but neither one created duplicates manually. Next I am going to remove all of my accounts, delete all the calendar & contact storage then add back one account. I will run wiht only the one account for a day to see what happens
Solution (At least working for a day now)
I was getting duplicates every few hours and now I am 1 full day without. Here is what I did:
1. I deleted all of my Exchange ActiveSync type accounts. I had three mail accounts using the exchange option : Corporate, Gmail and Hotmail
2. Went to Task Manager and View All processes and Find the Calendar and Contact storage apps and cleared the data.
3. Setup my Corporate account using Exchange ActiveSync
4. Setup synch for Gmail using the Google Account
5. Setup Hotmail with the Hotmail app.
(Dont like Gmail and Hotmail separated, because I enjoyed having all emails in a combined view)
Doesnt seem to make sense, why this has started happening in the last couple of weeks, because I had this setup since I setup the phone the end of June.

I'm going to try this method and see if it works out. I too, had 2 Exchange ActiveSync email accounts associated with my stock email client (Corporate and Hotmail) But I'm going to try and set up the Hotmail account as a POP3 this time and see if that alleviates the multiple calendar entry catastrophe!
I made some progress in my testing. Here is what I did.
First test
1. Removed all accounts using the default email client.
2. Cleared all data for calendar and contacts
3. Restarted phone
4. Only setup one account using exchange and synced mail, calendar and contacts using default email client
5. No duplicates after 3 days.
Second test
1. Removed all accounts using the default email client.
2. Cleared all data for calendar and contacts
3. Restarted phone
4. Setup two account using exchange and synced mail, calendar and contacts using default email client
5. After the first day I started getting duplicates in the calendar and contacts.
Third test
1. Removed all accounts using the default email client.
2. Cleared all data for calendar and contacts
3. Restarted phone
4. Setup one account using exchange and synced mail and calendar using default email
5. Setup one account using exchange and synced mail, calendar and contacts using Enhanced Email
6. After the first day I started getting duplicates in the calendar and contacts.
Fourth Test
1. Removed all accounts using the default email client.
2. Cleared all data for calendar and contacts
3. Restarted phone
4. Setup up my Office Exchange (Sync mail & calendar), Hotmail (Sync mail, contacts, & calendar), and Live (Sync mail) accounts. All accounts are setup as exchange accounts using Enhanced Email.
5. Now after two days there are no duplicates in either the calendar or contacts.
I dont if Enhanced Email syncs differently than the default email client. I believe that there is a problem with the default email syncing process. I never had this problem with my Gingerbread phones.
duplicate appointments and contacts
The duplicating calendar and contacts problem was driving me crazy as well. It just seemed to keep getting worse with more and more duplicates as time went by.
I could remove the duplicates by removing my Exchange account and then re-adding it back in, but the duplicates would show up again hours later.
I removed/added my exchange account a bunch of times, and each time the duplicates came back... except this last time.
The only thing I did different this last time (that I know of) was goto: Settings, then Backup and Reset, and uncheck "Back up my data". Then I removed/added Exchange.
Since doing this, I have had no more duplicating appointments or contacts. It has been several days, maybe a week now.

I will try that and see what happens over a few days.
Workaround: Google Calendar sync option
I had the same issue on my Galaxy S2 Skyrocket. I removed my Exchange Server account -> Synced calendar -> Made sure the Exchange entries were gone from Calendar -> Install Google Calendar Sync in your PC that has the exchange server and do the 1-way sync option from Exchange to Google -> Resync Google Calendar on phone -> Add Exchange Server account on phone.
This is a roundabout method to remove duplicate entries but it works great for me and should do so for you as well. There is a one-time setup of Google Calendar sync on your PC and that's about it.

Can you please point me to the difference in setting up via default email client vs setting it up using Enhanced Email?
My Father-in-law has his gmail account and a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account (for work) syncing on his GS3 and is getting duplicate events from the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account. I'm trying to help him remove those duplicate entries. Apparently his IT guy at work setup the ActiveSync account and he didn't know how to set it up, so I couldn't remove and add it back.
I'm just not sure how I should tell him to set it up differently this time. Note: I saw the item to remove the check mark for backing up items. Did that work for you as well?
Solution I found that works for my HTC Android
opened my Droid's Calendar,
then touched Menu button,
then "More",
then unchecked the box next to Calendar,
and checked only the calendar I want to sync and show (Exchange)
waited for everything to clear itself out.
done / fixed.
Why I don't have Exchange on my droid?! I have the same problem: duplicate calendar entries. I simply use S2 (Jelly bean) and my default gmail account and its calendar! nothing more. but there are many duplicates. I can't see exchange in my calendar list

local calendar

Call me paranoid, but I don't like the idea of keeping my appointments in the cloud.
The problem is, the stock HTC calendar reduces available options when I'm switching from a Google account to either the phone (i.e. HTC Sync) or local account.
Does anyone have any experience with the Google calendar app and local accounts? Is it possible to use it without syncing with Google? Is there any other decent calendar app that would work with a completely local account, with an occasional backup to either SD card or PC?
You can turn off synchronization for Google Calendar under settings.

Somehow on my phone this setting has no effect and Google keeps syncing the calendar.
And then I'm using several gmail accounts, so the events get scattered between different "accounts". I have no idea why a simple list of appointments has to be associated with any kind account.
I don't think you are doing it right when you turned off the calendar sync. Anyway, there is an app called Offline Calendar. Perhaps you could give it a try.
I know this app. It creates a local (offline) calendar, but does not do anything else, you have to use this local calendar as an "account" in some other calendar app, like the stock HTC calendar.
As to turning off sync, I don't think you can do it "wrong". You just go into Google account settings, tap on an account (if you have more than one, like I do) and then there are sync settings, you can choose whether to sync gmail, contacts, calendar, apps, etc. I uncheck all of the boxes except for gmail, since this is the only thing I need to be synced - otherwise I will not be able to read email and that's the whole point of having a Google account. In any case, the calendar sync setting is off and still the HTC calendar app syncs every time I add an event to a calendar associated with a Google account.
Two ideas to try:
1. Use Google calendar with sync turned off. See if it still syncs new event.
2. Stay with HTC calendar and use the offline new account created by that app. Add new event to the offline account.
Try a calendar on the play store that has no sync function........ Or, don't worry. Everyone syncs... If there were security issues, it would be reported all over.
I doubt Google will show up at an event you have scheduled and mug you. ?
