I recently got an android unit for my BMW X3.
Took a bit of figuring out how to connect it all as I purchased it off someone’s hands and it came with no instructions.
Finally managed to get the unit to power on but….that’s about it.
I believe the seller told me it’s px6 unit with 4gb or ram - 64
But looking in settings (see attached) I think it shows 2-32?
Issues I’m having are as follows:
- owner stated it has the apple car play however it only has the mirroring app that only displays grey screen with my iPhone 13
-thought of getting the usb apple CarPlay bundle but the usb cable - does not work. Tried it with charging cables, differently formatted usb sticks, nothing. No power comes through them + usb is greyed out in the settings on the unit.
-the Bluetooth of the unit is not working either. Keeps showing a screen saying “initialising……” seems like it’s stuck in an infinite loop.
-no sound coming through that unit either. Tried connecting the aux out to the oem console (there are 2 outs) none of them send any signal.
Is there any hope in here?

So, I love this phone and hate it at the same time.
First off, just at random, the BT, Wi-Fi or GPS will just turn off. Has not happened for a couple days, nothing has really changed.
Now the big issues. These are driving me nuts....
I have a Pyle PLDN74BTi (don't laugh, it was dirt cheap) and it supports Bluetooth audio and tagging and speakerphone from a BT phone. All the features work except the tagging. I cannot get BT to display the audio info or the phone info.
Second, I just bought an iBolt xProDockX. When I dock it, the phone recognizes its docked, but it will not open the doc app upon dock. I look in the default apps, and the dock isn't even listed. I purchased Car Home Ultra and it wont auto open, I even install the dock&drive app from iBolt and it wont auto open upon docking either.
Anyone else having these stupid issues with their phone? I have cleared all the apps, and I have restarted the phone. No Dice.
You posted this in the S3 forum, not the Note 3... I doubt you will get any help here

****! Sorry. I don't know what happened.
Note the attached screen shot of the Device Manager on a brand new Windows 10 64 Bit machine when a Verizon Note 10+ 5G is connected to the PC's USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C jack with the cable that comes from Samsung with their 45W charger. Everything works perfectly including connectivity with the PC's file manager to access the files on the phone. It's just that I am a somewhat spoiled perfectionist techie and not sure why I am getting this. I've searched and haven't found any "driver's" (even though it appears everything is natively supported).
Any thoughts? My phone is not named "SAMSUNG_Android" - so that is a default designation...

Sent from my SM-N976V using Tapatalk
When I connect my device, it appears as "samsung sm-975F"
Mine is SM-976V... And, drum roll.... Does the Device Manager say there are no driver's for it on your PC?

I hadn't put ADB yet on my phone but duh -

Hi,
I have BT issues with an old PX3 unit running Android 7.1.2 with SD-968 BT adapter. The unit is an Eonon GA8166A installed in a BMW X5 E53.
When the unit is cold BT is not working. I have entered factory settings and set the BT adapter to WQ_BC8 according to instructions from Eonon. This works for a while after multiple resets if the unit is warm (after driving 10-15 minutes). However after leaving the car overnight the WQ_BC8 setting will reverted to the original settings and BT no longer works. Setting the BT adapter back to WQ_BC8 will not work again until the unit is warm. The list of paired BT devices is blank and the unit will not discover any nearby BT devices.
I have tried flashing the unit with a file provided by Eonon (Eonon_kbt2_PX3_7.1(20170830).rar) but that did not make any difference.
Other users have tried upgrading the PX3 to a PX5 but that did not make a difference. This seems to be temperature related - but I do not know which board or module to replace. After searching the forum I have not found any solution to this problem - despite the fact that many users seem to face the same issues.
Attached you will find photos of the board and software setup.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Ok, so I’ve had this unit for maybe a year or so but contacted wondefoo because I found that my car battery was draining from constant power to the head unit. It’s difficult with the language barrier, but they told me to cut the red cable (this is my photo with their markup).

I cut it, the unit doesn’t power up now. They said it was the canbus so I ordered another one of those…that hasn’t fixed it.
I’m not great at this stuff but any assistance would be appreciated.
They sent me this today. Neither of them look like my wiring loom and and it’s really grainy…I’m confused.
Check that (+12 always) and (acc) are actually correct in your head unit harness. They are likely swapped and incorrect.
Do you use canbus interface.
Also, details of headunit post Android system unit including mcu version.
Thanks for your response.
I asked a bunch of questions to the seller and they just said they’re going to send a new harness - I wonder if they can see that the one I got is not correct…
I’m using a canbus interface.
I don’t have the pin out for the canbus interface or the head unit so I can’t tell which wire is supposed to be where.
It’s running android 10. Seller: Wondefoo (AliExpress).
I’ll grab the version shortly.
Hi everyone!
I bought a car which has an A-Media Auto (1024x600 W) Head Unit, with Android 6. It has a USB plug, and I want to use my Huawei E3372h stick with it to eliminate the need to share my phones' WiFi everytime I want to use the internet on the HU.
So far I cannot achieve anything on this. I've found PPP Widget 3, which would handle the stick, but it needs root permissions, and I can't root the device. None of the apks I've found were able to root the HU. I've found a HOWTO, but it needs adb. Adb over WiFi doesn't work, as you can't authorize you PC over WiFi, only through USB connection.
The HU only has a USB-A plug, and while I have a USB-A male-male cable, the connection just didn't work, my PC just said 'no devices/emulators attached' (adb is enabled in the developer options)
So I'm stuck and out of ideas.
Any suggestions where to continue?
Thank you!

Honestly, replace with a FYT based UIS7862 with builtin cellular
Hey, I myself tried to find an affordable 5G-Stick but most of them don't recognize AT-Commands anymore.
I ended up using "Hotspot Automatik" on my phone.
As soon as my phone connects to the Radios Bluetooth (you can whitelist devices) it starts an hotspot.
Works like a charm.
Just a suggestion since I ran into the same problem.
