My P6 pro started making a bubbling noise, then an audible giggle followed by a fart smell! Is my p6 tooting? Figured I would add another complaint to the long list. Sorry to the mods but I needed this.
No smellavision here!
Your battery is gonna explode, run
Which punch hole is the stench of fail coming from?
Did it turn a slighter tint of green?
Could be a failing battery.
Or it's just gas.
Omg
This thread is about as funny as a fart in a Space Suit!

The other day I noticed that I have a blue dot/circle on screen, maybe a cm in diameter. It's not a dead pixel or anything, it's just like there's a blue overlay on top of the screen. I stupidly carry it around without a case (I used to use my case but whenever the phone rang I used to accidentally decline calls whilst getting it out). Does anyone know what the problem is and whether it's fixable?
Thanks. Sorry if this is in the wrong place.
newton ring probably. Seems to become a frequent problem. Try the search on that.

My first phone did the same thing. Yup, it's a newton ring. If you are still under warranty (should have 1 year from purchase date), then just bring it back to Tmobile or whoever you bought it from. They swapped mine out with no problems. There is no fix that I know of without repairing the hardware. Good luck!
These guys are right, it does sound like the familiar "newton ring" issue, common to HTC hardware it seems.
There's a number of other threads across the site on that subject, you can check to see if the pics in any of them match the general look of what you're seeing...but I think the odds are very good you're just the next lucky winner in the newton-ring lottery.
FYI, although there seems to be no universal cause, heat and/or pressure are common suspects.
Thanks guys. Unfortunately I bought it handset only from the internet so I have no warranty. It's not too big or noticable so I guess I'll put up with it. It also gives me an excuse to buy myself the Touch Pro3 later on =p.

Most people say you can get them from pressure or too much heat, but I babied the hell out of my first one, and I still got one, so not sure if it really has to do with that or not. Sucks though, it bothered the hell out of me to see it every time. It wasn't horrible, just a faint blueish purple ring. That's the spirit. I want the tp3 as well.
So after I read this: http://www.samsungupdate.com/androi...ost-common-galaxy-note-2-issue-with-the-s-pen
I decided to test it out, and sure enough the top left and bottom right the pen input veers away from the corners. However, if you just fill in the first two boxes to make them green you'll get some serious creepy sounds that the only way I figured out how to make it stop was rebooting the phone.
Edit: of course trying to replicate it now, it doesn't do it. Maybe I am hallucinating. Sounded like some kind of haunting/wind noises with water droplets in the background.
...No Wacom issues this way........

lol paranoid much?
Not really paranoid since the test pattern of the test doesn't even go up into those blocks, and normal wacom tablets have a bit of leeway space on the sides of it. It was just really creepy sounding, and I was able to do it twice before posting. But now when I actually try to do it, I can't replicate it at all, which sucks. Oh well.
it makes the weird sound so when you send your phone in for warranty work they can have their machine test the phone and listen for a pass/fail sound.
Pen issue
I am having the same issue with the pen too.
So got my new Z1C today, first thing I noticed was the LED lights up the whole earpiece instead of being a poxy little pinprick that you barely see on the XT, very nice!
Problem is on mine that little piece inside that actually lights up isn't quite straight. It looks like a waterproof gauze type thing made to light up I can't tell if whole thing lights up or something underneath? I pushed a little piece of paper into the gap to see how stable it was and it looks like only attached on the right. I'm worried if I drop phone it will come completely loose and more so this gap would let water into the earpiece area?
Please have a look at your own phones and tell me when LED lit, if you look straight in is it a clean line running up to the bezel thats lit of do you see a gap on left or right between bezel and LED?
Thanks
not sure what are you asking but here is how it looks on my phone
PS: sorry for all the dirt up there
Thanks for that! You managed to get a much better picture than me. The dirt being trapped by that mesh might look bad but its keeping the inside clean I imagine. On mine you can't really see in the bad picture but there's a little gap at the top on the left like the mesh wasn't put in quite straight so it's not reaching the bezel and i'm seeing dirt already trapped UNDER the mesh @ not even 24 hours old. Don't wanna just rinse thing under the tap either in case it's not waterproof in the area without that. Gonna send it back I think and get a replacement - better safe than sorry and it's a premium phone shouldn't have anything like this out of the box.
Cheer's for the pic mate

Of course you can wash it out.
Seems a tad OCD, prepare to be laughed at in the shop, made me laugh just reading it.
Im posting in regaurds to that phenom known as "zombie finger". I appearantly have the zombie finger affliction, and curious as to why. Old school resistive screens dont have this issue.
A little background, growing up electronics have been known to act strangely for me. Infrequently, computers which normally work fine for others had a tendency to just fail when i would try to just power them on. Only thing that would fix this 100% of the time was standing up and allowing someone else to sit down and boot up.
In one town, there was a series of street lamps which would turn off when i walked close and turned back on after i passed by. Albeit this didnt always happen, however my friends could never get it to happen.
Appearantly, I am somewhat sensitive to e.m. fields, best description of the sensation would be pressure. I start feeling more pressure around my face, giving me a slight headache and causes me to either cross my eyes abit, or makes me want to just close my eyes.
Watches and such tend to drain quicker than normal, i give them about a month.
Sticky hand syndrome as well, meaning, i can place my hand on light enough objects (paper, plastic cards, small stationary items) lift my hand up and whoa magically levitate the object with me. Flat handed palm down with verticle lift. Touchscreens suffer from this effect due to my finger not wanting to slide across the screen (when its actually registering my touch).
Could these experiences be linked to each other in some fashion? I do know my body chemistry is different than most (A.D.H.D. is fun) , and blood type (AB-, yes im one of the 1% of the population). This issue has been just a minor annoyance to me, however intriguing. Anyone have any insight into this?
Sorry about the long winded nature of this post.
Reading your post I presume your means of transportation looks like this??

I wish lol, no... Sadly i drive a Ford Ranger. =(
I guess some of that does sound a little strange.... =/
The McLaren on the back of the case is a very sharp metal and began peeling after 2 weeks. This resulted in deep cuts on my hand and a good amount of blood. I have 2 small children so it was scary. My older son likes to bring my phone to me when he wakes up and threw the phone screaming and I had no idea what was going on.
What case? I got my 7t pro McClaren 5g edition from t mobile the other day and no case was in it. Although the t mobile rep did take about 10 minutes in the back retrieving it.
When you open the box. Remove the bottom from the package and you will find a case there... I would warn against using it. However, it definitely should be there.

Hello, is you post related to the OnePlus 7T? Just asking as you've posted in the OnePlus 7 Pro device forum.
If it's really OP7T related I intend to move your thread to the correct device forum.
And Merry Christmas to everybody.

OH wow!! Thank you so much, I had no idea there was a secret compartment at bottom of box ?. The case looks awesome.
And you were right, I looked closer at the back of the phone and saw the sensor you're referring to and the McLaren case has that cut out however the Poetic Case did not have it.
Thank you once again.
Any pics of it ?
Well, that's very cry cry story, but i can't imagine how this cut can hurt, why your kids is take your phone (they haven't other toys?), next will be car keys and accidental crash, and at last, how you holds your phone for take injury from this cut out, this story just freaking me out by level of dumbass :silly:

Did you pull the metal off where it says McLaren? Because from the picture it looks like you don't have metal there

Looks the same as mine, indented but with metal in the bottom of the indent.

Yes
Same happened to me, first one finger with a 1 cm cut and the second time the mc laren logo was stuck in annother finger. No kids we scared though. no pics. but that sharp angle of the mc laren logo is the culprit imho.
Came right off with my fingernail, and was easily half attached and peeled up mid removal as could happen accidentally in a pocket. Not great... and the M is quite sharp.
Just peel it all off . Should look better
Yes that was my only point that it is a terrible design and oneplus should change this going forward. I know I had a smart user tell me to stop crying about it but I just wanted people to be aware.
It's a slippery phone on the edges - use a case or else.
If u haven't bent the letters get a strong adhesive and tooth pick and glue them back in place. Unless u like them off. It's not made bad if there metal it sounds like the glue isn't strong enough and u can just fix it ur self with a primo glue.
I've had my Mclaren for months and, even though I saw this thread before I bought it, I figured it was a single defective case
Today, I had to use plyers to pull 3/4 of the M out of my index finger. I hadn't had any peeling or snags prior, but I reached into my pocket to get my phone and came out a bloody mess.
I'm fine now, but just like OP said the letters are razor sharp. I'll be peeling the rest later today and I won't be replacing it; It's still an excellent case.
Clone of case without logo
Perhaps this might help. I ordered one of these so I'd have a similar case on hand when the original wears out. https://www.ebay.com/itm/McLaren-Style-Luxury-Carbon-Fiber-Genuine-Leather-Oneplus-Sports-Car-Case-Cover/143539669280
