I have Global 4/64 GB Redmi 5 Plus and unlike the Moto G5 Plus, it has system-wide performance issues, especially visible when you reply on Messenger when watching YouTube video. MIUI 9 was supposed to be "Lighting Fast", but Xiaomi appears to be a terrible liar this time...
If you face lags change the ROM

Hi, I'm thinking about buying a new phone, which I want to buy is a good phone, with lots of development and good compatibility with Gcam, so I found the two best options. One of them is the Xiaomi MI A1, and the other is this phone (Redmi Note 5) and here come two questions.
The first one:
This store is from Colombia (I'm from Colombia) and I don't know if this is the "pro" version, but I figured it was.
http://www.losdistribuidores.com/productos/xiaomi/xiaomi-redmi-note-5-caracteristicas
The second one:
Do you recommend MI A1 or Note 5 and why?
Thank you!
First, it's probably the Pro version. There's some confusion about that because of the difference between the Chinese and Indian markets. The Indian RN5 Pro is the same as the global RN5, and the Indian RN5 is the Redmi 5 Plus Global. So if you are buying RN5 out of India, it is the global version that has the codename whyred. It's a bit confusing, but do not worry about it. You will be buying the correct version.
Second: The RN5 is better than the A1, speaking in technical terms. It has a better processor and more battery, just not sure about the cameras. (But the RN5 is very good for the price). The A1 has USB type-C and the RN5 micro USB.

Really thanks!
It's more likely the global version of the RN5[WHYRED] going by camera specs, the version with the Pro extension is only sold in India!

This is the correct info. The SOC of the RN5 is vastly improved, more than the small step in numbering suggests. You speak about A1 Antutu 75,000 vs. RN5 Antutu 118,000, the difference also can be felt in immediatly.
Further, the Redmi Note 5 primary camera lens is an f1.9, the Pro version and the A1 is a f2.2 (same sensor). People would nautrally associate the moniker Pro with an upgrade version but Xiaomi seems to have a different opinion.
There was someone on Youtube making a camera comparison in between the RN5 and the RN5 Pro. The difference in low light conditions is huge, thanks to the combination of bigger pixel size and lower f stop value. It approached in some lighting coditions the camera of the S8.

right i forgot about apperture LOL.. but yes i think AI is better at low light but pro takes better pictures.. anyways he should be getting the AI.
Thanks to all of you! I decided to buy the RN5, because it has a better processor, a good camera (I think the A1 camera is a little better, but this is still good), but especially because of the great battery.
Assalam AlaykomHello Everybody
I id like to ask about F3 an d how is it compared to mi10t /10tpro
I have been confused between them
Thanks in advance
Spoiler
and I wanted to know how to add a poll
POCO F3 Vs MI10T
Basically. MI10T has SD 865, Better Camera and Battery. It also has a 144hz IPS LCD Screen. Something I am not really a fan of.
While POCO F3 is powered by SD 870. an E4 120hz AMOLED.
I'd go with Poco F3. I already bought one. it's on the way. Better performance with a cheaper price.

You can always check for the basic comparison for phones in versus, where I always use it to compare my F3.

What I advise you is to wait for redmi 11 models. It seems like they will appear soon.
Among the three I prefer f3, no doubt!
owning a poco F3, I am really happy with it cuz I've got it for less than 400 euros for the 256 version, it is very smooth and pleasant to use but if you can get a mi10t pro for the same price the last one will be a better deal. Soc is more or less the same (a tad slower), but camera will be way better, a'd you won't have proximity sensor issue which is a pain in the ass and a big drawback on this phone. I don't understand how xiaomi can sell a phone on which this basic function is not reliable. also stock rom on poco F3 is loaded with bloatware.
Hey all, If I should choose the POCO F3 or another phone if I'm going to upgrade from iPhone 6plus. I've never had a xiaomi phone, but I'm interested in the midrange budget phones of xiaomi that are gaining lots of positive reviews. So while I was looking for a POCO F3, someone recommended to check out the "Redmi K40 gaming edition", as I mentioned I am not xiaomi phone expert but the k40 looks similar to poco f3 however the k40 gaming https://nox.tips/ https://xender.vip/ edition is different. If you have the chance to choose between POCO F3 or Redmi K40 gaming edition, what would you go for? Taking in consideration the performance, ram, display, battery, software... Ofcorse I'm not getting it for gaming only but for general uses including gaming sometimes (I don't care about the camera) I'm focusing on what would give me a great gaming and general use features and would last for 3-4 years!! Thanks in advance for your opinions.

I use K40 gaming and if you don't care about NFC it will work only in China no Global then buy it. Also I set gidro geluim mate screen cover for smoother finger experience than glossy glass cover which can crack and dirty faster but cheaper. I highly recommend BUY: POCO X3 Pro 8/128,256 gb. From the first it is cheaper than any phone for now and the second the price K40 gaming 315$ POCO F3 400$ POCO X3 Pro 8/256 gb. 215$ Man think twice do you need gaming triggers for 315$ or 400$ F3? buy X3 Pro processor is the same, same battery, same ram/rom memory, same stereo speakers, great IPS LCD, me personally prefer amoled lcd for deep black only.
Choose POCO X3 Pro you won't regret.
I agree The Xiaomi so could gaming phones don't make sense A gaming smartphone needs better specs then normal phone not the other way around It's really frustrating Xiaomi brand does this kinda crap too gamers who just need ...Dinar Recaps
