Just had a question. The PRO has way more roms. Is It possible for you Developers to also make them available for the OP9.
Or maybe I could get into helping some of you guys I would like to get into developing and programming if its possible.
They call me the Flashaholic over on the OP9 Forum
Thanks

Hey guys this is what we see everyday here in Q & A and in General section, these kinds of questions and threads are not allowed in XDA,soo its either better to go to the android or original development sections and try each one for yourself, this will not only benefit you and gives you something new to play with every hour and if you do have questions either use the Q & A or ask the question to the dev in the development section, but it helps the devs, the mods and everyone else avoid the drama and confusion. Our devs work hard here and they dont want to know that jlows rom is better than his,it kinda hurts the soul, know what i mean?and it makes the mods happy and you wont get your thread closed and possibly an infraction, soo come on guys and lets just check the roms out without asking which ones better and if you really just dont care, then at least try pming someone instead,it works for all of us that way, thanks for your ear holes on this guys.
Heres a quick rom list:

Can someone please enlighten me as to why we have roms in just about every section on the g pro?
There is roms under Optimus G Pro General, Optimus G Pro Android Development, & Optimus G Pro Original Android Development. Kind of irritating having to hop from one subforum to another because all of the ROMS can't be kept in one Development area. I guess i don't understand as to why that is. Maybe there is a reason behind it?
Also is there any chance we can have a subforum for each model, which would take people spamming ROM threads wanting to know if it was for their model or not. Because that's also sad to see every rom thread someone spamming it wanting to know if it is for their model or not. Where as most don't read the title or description....Guess you can't fix stupid as they say, but it would keep a lot of the window lickers down from spamming threads.

ROMs should really only be in two places-Original Android Development and Android Development. Original Android Development should include original work and official and unofficial ports. Android Development should include things like modified stock ROMs, ROMs that are not the OP's work and unofficial ports of ROMs for which there is an official version. As far as separate device subforums go, I'm not sure how likely that is to ever happen.

Well thank you for that clarification. But that is not how others must have understood it. Because that is not how it is in the LG Optimus G Pro forum section. And yeah i didn't think it would be likely, but it is a GREAT idea to prevent so much spam, and people from getting warnings an such. Thank you for clearing that up. Just wish that's how it was though.
maybe we can request a moderator to move those threads to corresponding section
there aren't that many
Hello to all, I have been looking over so many roms it can be overwhelming, I am looking for some help in finding a good stable ROM that will be on KitKat 4.4.2 for my T-Mobile SGH-M919 that I am running on a different carrier by the way actually AIO Wireless which runs off of AT&T Towers.
Would be nice to find one that has features like call recording and lots of customization's and maybe some Variants from the new Galaxy S5 or Note 3.
Im currently running Hyperdrive but having lots of issues with it although it is an awesome Rom,
So if you will, any recommendations from you Pro's and Newbies alike as I am still a Newbie myself I would greatly appreciate some feedback as to finding a good stable ROM
Also would like to know what is a good Kernel to use I flashed Ktoonsez Kernel and when I boot up I get this message on the top left "Kernel is not seandroid enforcing set warranty bit" can someone tell me what that is all about, as I do notice problems with applications and other things.
So what so you guys recommend please please please any help is so greatly appreciated
Thanks so much:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

XDA is a development site not a support site. As such members are expected to do the research, read through the development threads and decide what is BEST for them. The only results that would be posted here are what each member has found to be BEST for them by experimentation based on their phone/usage/setup/apps/signal strength. Please take the time to read through those development threads to learn all about the software you are about to drastically alter your very expensive device with.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.
Thread closed.
Have a great day!
Hey devs and gals... I feel like i'm new with HTC again since I've been a Samsung user for the last few years. Yet I decided to get an M8 and Sprint gave me a good deal with HKE...
So me having experience with rom and theming development for GSM Samsung phones yet I feel like a totally noob here with HTC and specially with it being CDMA network...
I did a lot of roms porting back in the day for Samsung phones too.. Again I would like to ask devs if they won't mind add me to their team or individual dev to help me out on refreshing my mind about how things work for HTC and CDMA network so I/we can start rom development.
I know this is an international thread but from experience it is compatible but just need to know witch files I need to changed in order to port and build roms off of another carrier/model
Well the best advice i can give you is to "mingle" in some of the dev threads, see what they are doing and read some stickied info threads for the M8. I don't think there are many devs that will "just" add you to their team instantly.
Cheers.

When I used to do Samsung roms. We devs used to be like family. We would work together on everything.
Not like being on a team but we were all friendly and help each other out..
Here however on Sprint forum devs seems to be to each it's own. They don't seem to care to help other devs.

Well i will not discuss the pro's and cons of different developer teams and forums. I only gave my opinion based on what i see around here.
Hope you find a team where you fit in for future development.
Cheers.
Hey all,
So I have an S9+ (SM-G965U1 - Snapdragon). I keep seeing threads in the Development sections of this forum that say things like
G965FXXU2BRG6
G96XF/N
SM-G960F/G965F
I am weary on what threads to pay attention to when working with my new device. Would someone mind explaining it a little for me?
Thank you in advance.

The above models are exynos so avoid anything like that when you have a Snapdragon (SD) model. Looks like you can't unlock your bl so won't be able to flash mods unfortunately
