Can anyone help me with the below issue?
phone app crashes while trying to clear/even opening spam list.
Tried almost all basic troubleshooting. Only left option is to reset. Is there any other way to clear the spam list?
U can clear cache and data to just the phone app by holding the phone icon until a menu pops up. Hit "i" for information and clear cache and data
Clearing data and cache, resetting app preferrence and clearing cache from recovery .etc has been done already. No luck

Can anyone help me with the folder directory that stores the spam history? Is it possible to access if my phone is unrooted?

I'm trying to get my phone completely cleared as I've been getting FC's left and right as well as issues with Contacts syncing, etc and I was wondering if I'm missing something. I tried numerous methods including ##MSL# reset, CLEAR STORAGE via HBOOT, Wipe Data/Factory Reset via Recovery. All of these leaves the third-party apps I had installed behind.
Any ideas?!
If you're running 2.2, your apps get automatically reinstalled by the Market after you login with your Google account.
Really? Mine don't, but that is what TB is for.
@akarol: What ROM are you using?

Well, that would make sense if I was logging in to my Google Account. But this last time I just skipped all initial setup and it still was showing all my apps.

Try running this command:
FASTBOOT ERASE SYSTEM
This should wipe the System partition.
This is the wrong forum, btw. Questions go in the Q&A Section.
Type ##786#, menu, reset, Enter MSL, OK. Should do the trick.
Are you using apps2sd by any chance?
You really need to supply more info if you expect an answer.
If your Rom creates a symlink on install then the apps on your sdcards ext partition would still be there.
Hi all!
I got an app called "App 2 SD Free" made by Sam Lu today. And it suggesting clearing my app cache (clear app cache, that what it says) and I am confused with what will it do. For example, will it clear my Facebook App sign in data? And is this app cache is Dalvik Cache?
Edit: Oh, guys it's too late. I accidentally cleared it And looks like no change.

Im also a user of that app. And i cleared it many times and nothing happened to me. Sign-in data's will not be cleared even if u clear the application cache and application data (checked for gmail, market).
Cache is a storage space for temporary files. And clearing cache will speed up the applications definitely. And that's also a way to free up memory.
Coming to dalvik cache,
Dalvik cache is a program cache area for the program dalvik. Dalvik is a java based virtual machine that is the bases for running your programs (the ones that have the .apk extension), in order to make access times faster (because there's not JIT compiler installed by default). The dalvik-cache is the result of dalvik doing a optimization of the running program. It's similar to the prefetch files in Windows.
[sorry if im wrong]

Sorry for that. Like i said, i checked it with gmail and market only. Later i came to know that gmail once attached to the wildfire cannot be deleted. The only way to remove gmail is hard reset. And market uses gmail login data.
And im using stock 2.2 wildfire. And i checked facebook for htc sense and plurk. These login data's will also be not deleted by clearing cache/data. And maybe we cannot expect 3rd party apps to retain their login data even after clearing cache/data (example: XDA app).
I've searched around and I haven't had any luck finding the info I'm looking for, so I guess I'll just ask:
Is there any way to clear all applications' data without going into "manage applications" and clearing them all one by one? That seems like it would take a long time.
In CWM, if you do a "Clear Data/Factory Reset", you'll lose all of your apps too. I just want their data cleared, as if they were a fresh install.
Any help is appreciated.
If you have titanium backup, you can make it show only user apps and then chose the "wipe data for user and system apps" But since you have filtered out the system apps, it won't wipe the data for them. It will also make you confirm your app selection before you hit go. So you can deselect any apps there.

hi guys,
I have problem with CyanogenMod 9, android 4.0.4...
In main apps menu, there is an icon that name is "Dev. tools", you know.
Under it, there is a submenu as "Media provider"
there is a button at media provider as "insert 20 albums"
I pressed this button and some song names has appeared at Apollo media player...
how can I re-do this action and delete these bulk albums....
thanks a lot
I did the same thing. Later I tried CWM to wipe cache and dalvik cache but nothing happened. Later I reinstall this apps by push through root explorer.
All these steps can't change the scanned album media. But lucky I did my nandroid backup. Thus restore had cleared the problem.
Maybe others users are able to help out.
