Got my 6 Pro yesterday, and after trying to log into the Starbucks app, the only error I get is "A system error has occurred. Please try again later" I can even type in random characters and numbers into the username and password field too, and still results in the same error. App version 6.13.1 Tried on cellular (Verizon) and wi-fi. Uninstalled, reinstalled, etc. Opened a ticket with Starbucks. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

I had the same issue. Just thought starbucks was having a problem. Apparently not. Just tried it again and can't log in. Via T-Mobile and Wifi as well.

So if you log into the mobile web site, go to menu - account - card management, you can pay from there or add money to your card.
It's a workaround anyway. You can also install the PWA app from the chrome menu at that point as well. That will create an icon in your launcher which will open up to the right page/screen to pay from.
Is it working on other phones with Android 12? I would bet they have an issue with that.
Same issue here. I also used the mobile web to workaround this morning.

Yeah, maybe they just haven't updated their app for Android 12. Doesn't sound like a specific Pixel 6/Pro problem, but who knows...
UK version 7.3.1 working ok on the Pro. No login issues etc seen.
Not working on my 6 Pro either. I don't think it's an issue with android 12, the app works fine on my pixel 4xl on Android 12. Maybe it has to do with tensor?
<insert comment here about supporting your local coffee shops>
all jokes aside sounds like an Android 12 issue, reach out to the developer email from the Play Store page and also I have found leaving a review on the Play Store explaining the issue sometimes gets some attention to the issue as well.

I don't thinks it's an Android 12 thing. The app works perfectly normally on my Pixel 4XL, and that's on Android 12. The app never stopped working even when that phone was first added to the Android 12 beta. It seems like a specific pixel 6 problem to me
It's not an Android 12 thing. Wells Fargo is having the same problem. My Pixel 5 can log into both apps. Apparently there's something going on with the 6.

I bet it has to do with the security stuff on tensor
I have the same problem, I cannot log in on my Pixel 3 and Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 5 is working fine. I logged out and log in again on my Pixel 5 but not on the other Pixels. Pixel 5 and 6 Pro have Android 12 installed and Pixel 3 Android 11
I had the same problem all day yesterday but I was able to login this morning.
The difference between today and yesterday is that now I have Magisk rooted whereas yesterday it was just unlocked bootloader. I'm not sure if that was the cause.

I don't think the issue has to do with the bootloader because mine is locked on my 6 Pro and 4XL. App works on the 4xl but not the 6 pro. The app is working for you on pixel 6?

Yes it wasn't work all day yesterday until I was forced to wipe my phone so that I could root. Now I can log in.

Ohh. Weird. I wonder what changed.
I was just able to log in. The Starbucks app didn't update, but there was a system update for the phone earlier. Decided to try and login for fun and it worked. Hopefully it's working for everyone now. Thanks for your assistance to all who helped. Cheers!
I had the same problem originally. I forgot about it until I started reading this thread. I just tried it now when it worked for me perfectly fine. Maybe the update that came out fixed whatever was causing that.
It's working for me now as well!

Since upgrading to JB 4.2 the Amazon app store keeps having me authenticate periodically. I assume that this is related to the JB update, but I haven't seen anyone else mention this issue. Particularly when accessing Tweetcaster Pro is when I see the issue start, but then no other app works correctly.
Just for some background, I wiped my phone yesterday with 4.1 and then installed 4.2. I have the latest version of the app store and have tried clearing cache/data, uninstalling, reinstalling. No help.
So I'd like to know if anyone else is seeing this or if it is just me.
Thanks
Probably just needs a compatibility update, same as every other app that isn't working on 4.2 right now.

Thanks. I figured that was the case. I would just be more at ease knowing I wasn't alone.
Same behaviour here after updating to 4.2. Hope Amazon is fast with a fix...
Same here - driving me freaking crazy
You may have to redownload the Appstore apk, there seems to be one with a new layout now.

It kept asking me to sign in and when I did it was saying wrong password even though I knew it was right. I only had about 3 paid apps for free that I still used so I just uninstalled them and purchased from the play store and uninstalled the amazon app store.....haven't "bought" a free app in like 3 months...the selection is getting to be crap

Sorry for you, but glad to hear it. I ended up calling them today and they hadn't heard of any issues. I suspect they know now.
I'm getting the same thing too although my login credentials actually work. The one thing I haven't checked is whether or not these logins are creating a new device authorization every time.
I completely wiped my phone before upgrading to 4.2 and Amazon App store and Verizon FiOS Mobile Remote are the only two apps with issues.
I have the same issue with Forum Runner. Every time I close the app I get signed out and need to re-login every time I open it back up. So annoying but I'm guessing its a 4.2 update thing. I've deleted it and re-downloaded it and it made no difference.

They explained to me that everytime you login, it creates a new device instance. They limit it at 25. I hit that mark yesterday.

I've read that in the past, but it's never been true for me. I use TubeMate from Amazon and dont need the Amazon Market installed to do so.

Ouch! I just logged in to my Amazon account and saw all the "Nexus 7 xx" devices that were registered.
Thanks for the heads up. I deregistered all the new devices.
This worked for me
From another forum I found this solution to work:
1) Delete Google Account
2) Reboot Device
3) Reactivate Google Account
4) Log on with Amazon Appstore App
All apps load and run without need to log on each time now.
I also deleted excess Amazon devices as noted above.

Yeah it does add a new device each time... I have 7! Deleted 6 of them... still same problem.
"Google has stopped" messages are driving me mad, had it for quite a while and assumed a fix would roll out as I report it every time.
Have tried Force Stop and clear cache and data on every Google app I can find, including Chrome.
One of the solutions I saw online was a factory reset, but rather try everything else first.
Anyone had the same and resolved it without a factory reset?
Redmi Note 5 Pro, not rooted, running Android 8.1 and Miui 9.6

Same phone same issue, just drive 200 miles with the pop up coming up every 15 minutes on sat Nov, very annoying!
Also noticed "ok Google" isn't working via voice command anymore
Yep, can overlook pop-ups while it's in my hands, but car cradle and Waze is a real ball ache.
I don't use Ok Google.
What have you tried to fix it?

Fwiw was working fine the other day and nothing major had been updated, infact the only updates were Google drive and calender two days ago so not sure what's caused it.
Same issue here after updating to MIUI 9.6
I've been having the exact same error ever since I updated to Android Oreo a few days ago but on a Redmi 5 Plus device :/
same issue
only i haven't done any update as I was running on mobile data only. reported to miui but they want additional information because they cannot reproduce the issue
Excluding Google app from battery saving should solve this issue, at least for me it worked!
Hi, which Google app exactly, half my problem is I don't know which "Google app has stopped", what needs to be changed?

Google voice assistant, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox&hl=en
Just exclude from battery saving.
I don't use that app and my Battery Saving mode is off above 60%.
Just got another Google has stopped as I type and charge on 96%, so I don't know whats causing this.
Uninstall the updates to Google app. Something is causing this, I was getting this on Pixel Experience 8.1 as well, until I rolled back to prior version. Same for Android Messages, screen would just flicker black and would not open app properly until i rolled back to previous app version.

I search xda and Reddit to see if anyone experienced random reboots with pixel 3xl. I haven't seen anyone post anything similar.
I'm on the latest Jan 5 2019 firmware and haven't installed anything new over the past month. I'm getting random reboots while reading the news on google assistant, google news, camera, installing google play updates, Gmail, settings....basically anything if i'm actively using it. if i'm watching a movie or on a call, nothing happens so far. The phone reboots during LTE/Wifi, charging/not charging, safe mode, after factory reset. The phone hasn't been dropped or damaged. So I'm a bit clueless what's going on...
When i say reboot, it's not a full reboot, but quick reboot. The screen turns black and reloads my home screen. It then asks for my pin number since "Pin required after device restarts."
Has anyone else experienced something similar? the phone is being RMA...
Nope.

is the phone getting hot?
any themes installed?
the phone is usually around 76-86 oF and no themes. Just plain vanilla.
Now some of my URL homepage shortcuts and google map shortcuts are nonfunctional.
Is it possible the phone's memory is corrupt or something?
I would try a complete wipe and reinstall and see if it fixes the problem.

already factory reset as part of the condition for RMA, but still observing the issue. Adding a guest user to the phone still causes random reboots.
this is the weirdest bug/defect ...thank god for google's warranty service.
I have the same issue you said. This "little reboot" problem. I'm waiting for the February update , if this doesn't fix nothing I will do a factory reset and if this also doesn't help I will send it to Google.
The only "problem" with this is that I cannot reproduce the problem by my own, so I don't know how to prove that there is indeed a problem in Google . This happens at random times, and not everyday.

You won't have to prove it to Google. You will tell them it reboots. They will ask you to try safe mode and a factory reset When you tell them you already tried that they will exchange it.

i had those "little reboots" that started to occur like once every 3 days, but they occur when the phone was idle. But my "little issues" got worse and they occurred every time i was just browsing the phone. If i use google lens ==> crash. If i read anything on google news/assistant ==> crash. I connected to VPN ==> crash. Open my gmail ==> crash. Browsing chrome ==> crash. I suspected it was related to either a bad Bluetooth or google play service. Neither a full wipe or safety mode fixed the issue. My phone was in perfect condition. Luckily google allowed a RMA.
Never got anything like this since I bought my pixel 2 months ago, I think you should send back your phone to Google right now to ask for a replacement or a refund

Hi
I have got a new Redmi note 8T recently and it was a nightmare setting it up. Mostly because some apps did not install easily (over WiFi)
Eventually, just as I was about to give up and return it, I tried with 4G and they installed fine.
I assumed maybe the phone was trying to do too much at once but now the problems are exactly the same with updates. Some go in fast and perfect, others just crawl and get stuck.
I have cleared the playstore app cache, rebooted phone but still not right.
Anyone seen this before or can advise on a solution?
Phone was of Amazon UK, using in the UK
The WiFi itself is good surfing the net and when run tests.
Cheers

Looks like Play Store itself has an issue, I had it with my note 8. They seem to have addressed the issue recently though, so give the latest version a try.
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-store/google-play-store-19-1-52-release/
Also try clearing data of Play Services.
Thanks, just updated it.
After my starter post, I decided to update apps over 4G and the problem was still there. Seems the problem is random??
An app that I struggled to update last night, just flew in over WiFi this morning.

Play store is an odd thing to work with, sometimes things work and sometimes they don't.
Give it some time and see if it resolves itself.
Thanks for the help to who replied.
I have reset it again and started again from scratch.
To be honest, I think the issue was random with the play store.
It seems OK now.

I know there were a bunch of topics on this earlier in the year but I have yet to find a solution and here's the weird thing...
I have a P6 Pro (Android 12.1) coworker has a P6 (Android 13) and both of us when at home (different homes lol) will have the Wi-Fi turn off, and a few seconds later turn back on again.
The problem for both of us started about a month ago. This is way too coincidental. Neither of us had this problem before and since we are on two separate but similar phones running two different versions of Android could this be a Google connectivity related app that is causing this problem? Maybe a bad update to something?
Btw I've tried all the fixes mentioned in previous posts. Everything but a factory reset and nothing has worked. It only happens once or two a day but it's annoying
I noticed that as well during the last couple of weeks. This wasn't happening before for sure. Still no idea what's causing it.

Thank you. The Google Connectivity Service app that helps manage Wi-Fi was updated about a month ago.
Since we all have different versions I'm thinking this has to be app related. Nothing else makes sense
I had the same issue back on 12.1 on my P4a...and oh man did it annoy the sht outta me! I too assumed it was prolly app related. I spent ages trying to chase it down. Then google offered me $300 trade-in plus a pair of Pixel Buds for a P6a...suddenly I just stopped looking.

Modem firmware isn't relevant to wifi.
I don't want to jinx it but after happening to me every day for a few weeks it stopped. Been a week now with no changes made on my end.
This had to be a Google app. They are always getting updated and not always for the better
