[Q] Rooting 2.3.5

Hi guys,
I have a DHD running 2.3.5 sense 3.0 and there are data that need to access in the phone's memory, therefore I thought I'd give rooting my phone a try. I have been looking around and found that I can root using the Ace hacking kit, but it would require me to downgrade the phone which would wipe the data on my phone, which defeats the purpose for me to root my phone. I am wondering if there is a way to gain access to the phone's memory without wiping its data?
Cheers.
Hi
AAHK is the best method to root ur device and ur phone need downgrade because right now the only way to root 2.3.5 is to downgrade. you shuld backup ur data and try to root ur device or you can wait till there is exploit available to root 2.3.5
Thanks for the reply, so is there an app that allows me to back up the phone data before I root the device? (I am trying to access some messages that is stored in the phone memory (that app saves the messages in the phone memory only))
Cheers

root without losing data? how do I backup all data before I root?

Hi all,
For the record I'm not really looking to install custom roms or unlock the bootloader specifically. I just want root access so I can change the slimport resolution to my HDTV.
All the guides I've read to achieve root talk about unlocking the bootloader and installing roms.
I just want root access, I don't need anything else.
So, is there a guide somewhere that shows me how to get root without wiping all data. If not, is there someway I can backup my data before I wipe?
Any backup tool I've seen require root... "catch 22"
The only thing I really want to preserve is my recorded raps in the "autorap" app. Any guides I've seen to backup that data, require root!
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Adb backup? Cydia Impactor?

Try out Helium for backing up, you don't need root, then you can feel free to unlock and root your device, once rooted, you can relock (and later unlock without losing data) the bootloader using this.

5T rooting, with no data loss

Hi, i have a stock 5T with locked bootloader (i know, i should have it unlocked when i get the phone), and i'm on stock oxygen OS 9.0.4 with no issues. I want to Root the phone mainly for a proper working GCam with fixes etc. I'm concerned about losing my data and i want to make a perfect backup easy restorable, to bring back the phone to this exact status with all apps and apps data.
I have a Oneplus One and with that i was using titanium backup pro wich is perfect for this. If i root my phone with methods like KingRoot, so without flashing recovery or unlocking the bootloader i can make a good backup with TI, and then wipe phone flash TWRP and restore it? i will face any problem? are theese root methods safe? Huawei P20 lite - Restoring files after factory reset without backup?

Hi guys, I've made a grave mistake of factory reseting my phone without doing a backup and lost some important files... So far I was unable to root my phone to run dr fone to restore deleted files... What is the current process of rooting this phone? There are no up to date information about it as far as I searched on the internet...
Is there any other way to restore deleted files without unlocking bootloader? I cannot find an up to date way to obtain that code...
I would really appreciate help, really need to get those files back!
