Hi all,
I'm looking to use this smartphone as car meultimedia system and GPS navigator
The idea is to use a spare sim 3g data only
Unfortunately the device reboots once the network is locked and the network operator is displayed
I've tried in both slots, with stock android 10 and a custom rom but the issue is the same
any idea how to fix it?
Thanks

Hi,
I'm from Germany and went on Holiday recently to Singapore and Australia. There I bought prepaid SIM cards for internet access. Now that I've returned and use my german SIM again, my phone can't enable the data connection anymore.
I've attached the *#*#4636#*#* phone info screen. I already tried factory reset, reflashed a radio image and new rom - and still the problem remains. I also tried all the different radio band settings (see second screenshot). It always says "fail because Radio Not Available).
I didn't flash or change anything on my holiday trip, so I'm really out of ideas. I hope someone can help me.
Thanks
Björn
Set network type to GSM and try again.
SwiftKeyed from dGB with Transparent XDA App
error message stays the same, also tried the other network type options, always the same
I just tried a SIM from a firend of mine, and with that one everything works normal.
So it seems to be a problem with the sim card. I guess I will just get a replacement SIM.
hi, first of all: I have been searching for solution to this problem for ages but the problem still persists
I bought the phone a while ago, worked pretty much perfect, I experienced some random signal lost but right after restarting or some minutes the signal went back, so after some months and after changing my phone screen my signal disappeared completly It once worked with my friend's sim card but just with that card and just one time, I tried differente sim's and operators but got no sucess, the phone recognizes the sim but the signal strenght is null (X)
I already tried the following options:
reset
hardreset
5 different roms (cyanogen, and some stock 975/977 roms)
flashing another modem
4 differente sim's
didnt tried anything related to the kernel, this may solve my problem? seens like my problem is related to hardware problems, I dont know..
additional info: my imei is not blocked or N/A but my phone cant recognize my sim number
Additional info: on the fastboot menu the baseband is "N/A", is that value normal?
Thanks in advance:
Hi, I have a problem with my device. Disclaimer: I'm very noob so please be patient.
I'm starting to get SIM CARD REMOVED error since i changed my network provider. My previous sim card was not LTE, just 3g and it had no problem with the device. The new sim card is LTE. It took me literally 5 days after enjoying the new network provider till my device acting weirdly.
Before changing, I upgraded to MM. Originally my device does not support LTE, but then I played with the system (sorry for bad terminologies) and make the feature available. No problem detected with old sim card.
So, I tried the old fashioned way; Hard Reset. I had the device reset twice but nothing changes. Frustrated of the constant automatic reboot, I wiped all system, delvik, cache, etc using TWRP. Then i installed CM13 and use it as my OS. It works well. I got the signal with LTE data. Realizing that the ROM does not come along with Google Play Store, i installed gapps. Soon after restarting the phone, the signal only lasts for an hour then it says " NO DATA SIM". I figured a temporary solution which is, rebooting the device after you lost the signal. It is just temporary though. The signal will once again lost.
What I have tried: 1) Locking the simcard while the phone still got its signal.
2) Changing values using this guide-> http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/annoying-lg-g3-problem-lte-signal-solved-t3293721
* My sim reader does not seem to be having any defect.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Hi, I'm having some troubles here with a GT-9192 (Stock ROM 4.2.2), one of my friends brough me his phone which he tried to root (I don't know how or what software did he use to do so) and I think he did something really wrong because now the phone boots as normal but doesn't get any network signal at all. SIM1 doesn't recognize any SIM inserted, SIM2 does but there's no service at all, every time I try to search for a network provider it fails and if I select automatic selection it says "registered on network" but there's no signal at all.
I tried flashing today Bliss 6.0.1 ROM and it flashed nice, booted up and worked as intended yet the device has no network signal. WiFi and bluetooth work nicely.
What can we do to fix this? I did a Nandroid backup of the official Stock ROM on TWRP 3.0.2-1 and I just did a restore. Do you need more info? I'm out of ideas.
Hi
I have an A5 2017 dual sim. It has THR CSC code, but I use it in Hungary. Recently I got the new SW update over OTA (A520FXXU4BRAB) which made the phone tottaly unsuble in terms of the cellular connectivity. It hardly connects to LTE network, if it does, sometimes the mobile data is not working altough it show that it's connectetted and data are downloaded/uploaded. After a while it drops completetly the cellular network, can't reconnect for a while. So not just the mobile data are not working but i cannot even make/recceive any phone calls. If I force to use only 2G network at least phone calls can be made. For me it seems that the handover between mobile stations (or switching between 4.5G/4G/3G) is not working properly.
I had no such issues with the previuous SW (A520FXXU3BQL4). I did the 'wipe cache' - no result. Then full factory reset but still no result.
Since it's a dual sim phone, I switched the data connectivity to the another SIM (not just another SIM, but different carrier), but the symptomps are the same.
Do anyone has some idea what could I do?
Is it possible to downgrade the previous SW with Odin? I have downloaded the SW from sammobile but I don't dare to flash it.
There is no root on the phone, only original Samsung FWs were used, knox is active.
Thank for your kind help.
I have found a very similar problem description in the S6 forum ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...-network-data-connection-drops-t3097605/page7 )
Has anyone experienced this on A5?
