Can I restore my android 11 device to android directly? I am using a stock OS from SamFW website and I am going to unlock the bootloader using my PC (volume up and down keys). Can I do it? Or will there be any adverse effects in reverting? Someone please help me.
You won't be able to revert with Odin using any stock firmware, it has rollback prevention. The only way you could be able to rollback to Android 9 is to root and make a custom ROM with Android 9, but that's way more work than it's worth in my opinion.

Hi guys
I m new here, i dont know much about this stuff.
So i have lg g3 d851 t mobile version which is previously unlocked (i dont know which tool was used). The problem is the phone lack some base app like radio and update center ect and its unstable, so i want to flash it.
Phone statue:
+ android version 4.4.2
+ rooted
+unlocked
+bloatloader i think locked
+stock recovery
My question is
Can i install costom rom without losing the unlock? If no can i install stock rom like 5.1 or even 6.0? do i need install 5.1 before 6.0 ?
Pls help
The bootloader isn't unlockable per se. You obtain a custom recovery by downgrading to an earlier android version with vulnerabilities you can exploit to obtain root access. Then you use the root access to flash a custom recovery. You can do whatever you want (whether it be flashing a custom ROM or a stock ROM through lgup), you can always re-root. You'll never lose the unlock since technically it doesn't exist.
With that said, since the phone already has root, you can flash twrp recovery using terminal or adb and flashing any ROM from there. You can also flash the latest stock ROM on a PC using LGUP or lg flashtool or in recovery using the stock ROM by mesa.
Read through the guides here and decide what exactly you want to do based on your preferences. You can always re root if you lose it in the process.
As a side note, there's no radio app for this model as there's no FM transmitter in this device.
Hope this helps.
I want to revert back to Stock ROM on my Galaxy Note II N7100. Currently I am on CrDroid 7.1.2. I am afraid that I will lose my IMEI if I downgrade. Can anyone kindly explain the process to downgrade or at least let me know whether the downgrade is possible or not?
Download mode and Odin are necessary.
Yes, you can flash back to a stock ROM and your IMEI should be intact.
You will need Odin and the latest stock ROM from updato.com, sammobile.com, or samsung-firmare.org.
I would like to install Lineage on my Verizon Galaxy S4 but the instructions state that I must have bootloader version I545VRUAMDK which would require downgrading to android 4.2.2.
Code:
wiki.lineageos.org/devices/jfltevzw/install
Is it possible to install Lineage on my device without downgrading the firmware?
Is it possible to downgrade the firmware? If so, could someone post instructions on how to downgrade using heimdall (console or gui)? I'm using linux so win apps are not an option. The link below indicates that it's possible but the instructions are for Odin and I don't want to mess with it unless it's required for Lineage compatibility.
Code:
androidsigma.com/how-to-downgrade-samsung-galaxy-s4-from-android-lollipop-to-kitkat/
Does the bootloader have to be I545VRUAMDK or can it be any android 4.2.2 build? For example, I found a firmware download for I545VRUAMD1. Would that work on my phone?
Thanks!

The MDK firmware for the I545 was the last to have an existing exploit for unlocking the bootloader. All the firmwares that were released afterwards have the bootloader locked up tight.
There's no (publicly) known way to downgrade the PL1 Firmware to the MDK.
The bottom line of your situation is that there's no way to install LineageOS on your device.
LineageOS is a Custom Built Firmware that requires to be flashed via a Custom Built Recovery (like TWRP) and the only way to flash the Custom Built Recovery is to have an unlocked bootloader. This leads to your having the PL1 that cannot have its bootloader unlocked.
Your only options are to either Root and Debloat your Stock Firmware or to install a TouchWiz (aka TW) ROM. The TW ROM is basically the Stock Firmware that has been Debloated and slightly customized but, to a point whereas the locked bootloader will still allow the TW ROM to install as if it's the Stock Firmware itself.
Finally, if you attempt to flash a previous firmware version over your PL1, you take the chance to potentially Soft/Hard Brick your device.
I hope that I had explained this okay via text.
Good Luck!

Hey guys!
I'm rooted with magisk on this ROM - https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/development/rom-unofficial-aosip-aka-derpfest-t3978357/amp/
What would be the best way to downgrade/roll back to an Android 9 ROM? Safely.
Appreciate the help! Thanks.
I just did this process.
You just need to have your twrp updated and flash the stock rom (or other roms).
You'll lose your recovery, it goes to stock, and magisk.
I think flashing a non-stock android 9 ROM is way better, you won't lose your recovery.
If everything goes bad, you can try the unbricking tool for 5t.

So if I'm understanding correctly, it doesn't matter that I'm on the latest firmware as well? All I have to do is find a android 9 ROM (I'm probably going to do oos Aroma) and flash that in the latest recovery installed. Latest recovery being the one I'm currently on twrp 3.3
Yeah, that's it.
I was using aicp android 10 I just flashed lineageOS android 9, all worked well. I'm also using twrp 3.3 that should be OK.
i want update my android 9 to 10(custum stock rom) in a galaxy s9 by twrp
model galaxy s9 (sm-g9600)
it's possible? or do i have to do it for the ODIN and then install the TWRP again?
thank u
It depends on the custom rom that you're gonna using, some of them will work just fine.
but on the other side the rom requires stock bootloader and so on,
the safest way is to flash to the stock latest android 10 rom through odin,
but if you don't want do that just make sure that the custom stock rom includes the latest stock bootloader where you can just ask on the rom's discussion
also don't forget to update your twrp version to the latest first, or there might be a possibilities that you will end up with error
