Hello guys, i have this problem : i tried to root my xiaomi redmi note 8t. i installed twrp recovery and magisk using sd card and pc, when i flashed these and rebooted my phone it's stuck on MIUI screen. any help? how can i unbrick? or what can i do? Thanks!
i don't know if i members can post links here, but i've did solve this in this exacly moment with my redmi note 8
first you need to download Plataform tool:
platform-toolsREDMINOTE8
MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.
www.mediafire.com
then after you downloaded, put your phone in fastboot mode
open the folder "platform-tools" it and delete the vbmeta.img
then, download stock rom of your redmi note 8 pro, unzip it and search the "vbmeta.img"
after that, copy "vbmeta.img" from your stock rom and replace it inside the folder "platform tools"
then, take the "twrp" file that you've already downloaded before and copy and paste inside the folder "platform tools"
(the folder that i gave you the link already has twrp, but is only for redmi note 8, and is named with "recovery")
after that open the folder "platform-tools" and in the navigation bar type: CMD
once CMD open, copy and paste this command:
fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
[after that your phone will be unbricked]
then you just need to type in CMD:
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
[twrp.img] this file you just rename to the same name of your twrp that you already downloaded
with this command i've unbricked my note 8 in this exacly moment.
i hope i could help, sorry for my bad english, i'm brazilian :\

this might be corrupted data due to encryption crap by miui
since you have twrp reboot to it using Power and Vol+
-flash DFE zip
-format data (this will delete everything on internal storage) so while on twrp copy your important data to pc ...
-reboot to recovery then to system
-tell me how it goes
Thanks guys everyone <3

hey guys i want to go back to miui global beta rom. how can i do it officially like mi flash? thanks in advance
Use MI Flash tool to flash back the official MIUI Rom
Fastboot rom...
Two ways.
Mi Flash method: you totally clean the phone and loose internal storage and twrp. Fastboot rom.
TWRP : you need to have installed the Zcx recovery. After that, full wipe and install the rom (recovery rom).
How can i do fastboot rom? Could you clarify the situation?
With Mi flash app for Windows. Download fastboot rom and flash with Mi flash app. Be careful to choose good option in bootom bar of Miflash, because default option will lock your bootloader...

Make sure you download the .tar.gz or .tgz file if you are using miflash
or else no .bat scripts that are required for miflash tool to work.

Did you unzip and nagivate to the folder with the flash_all.bat file?
IT could be folder directory too long. Move the rom folder with the flash_all.bat file into the C:\ directory.
If it says flash_all.bat not found then it may be that you navigated to the wrong folder or the rom file that you downloaded doesn't contain the flash_all.bat script.
IT may also be that you dont have the drivers installed. You could try getting fastboot/adb and checking if your device is found by typing 'fastboot devices'.
Remember that your device must be in fastboot mode (reboot vol down+power) (shown by bunny and fastboot logo).

How to unlock bootloader and flash twrp recovery on redmi 1s running miui 9?
I've downloaded lineage os 15.1 and have all required things including twrp to flash custom rom, but I don't know how to successfully flash twrp using PC or directly with non rooted device.

My method:
A. To flash TWRP you need these tool:
1. Minimal ADB and Fastboot - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
B. You need TWRP for Armani - download: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B6_hhjS3nx4IdzFHXzdfNXVCYm8
1. Download it and put it inside the folder of Minimal ADB and Fastboot (default is C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot)
OR
Right click the shortcut on the desktop and Open file location, from there copy the img file and paste it there.
2. Rename the zip file to twrp.zip (not twrp.zip.zip)
C. Reboot redmi 1s to fastboot
1. Shutdown phone then hold volume down key, and press and hold the power key at the same time. It will reboot automatically or boot to fastboot
2. Connect your phone to PC
D. Open Minimal ADB and Fastboot
1. Run it normaly
2. type
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp.zip
3. type
Code:
fastboot reboot
to reboot to system
Other method: https://www.techrrival.com/flash-recovery-adb-fastboot/
Choose a method that suits you.
Files and tools is not owned by me, but to the respectful owners and developers.
Glad to help.
Thank you!
I will definitely try it right now and will reply you as soon as possible if it worked for me.
It did not work.
Then I tried to get information about rooting redmi 1s on mi forum.
They had a file I had to rename update.zip and flash.
I did and I rooted my device and then what I had to do is to flash twrp.
It is easy when you have root, I used flashify for it.
Then now I have lineage os 14 running on android N.
It is really smooth ROM and I'm glad I am using it.
And also, thanks for a quick reply, though it didn't work, I got many new ideas.
Can you please specify all the links and files you used to root and flash lineageOS-14.1 on Redmi 1s armani, and you need to unlock bootloader?
I flashed a wrong boot.img in my honor 7x (BND Al-10) using fastboot and since then, even TWRP isn't accessable. I flashed it, thinking the ROM I'm installed doesn't have anything for the boot partition and that's why isn't booting it (Not even showing up the boot animation). I was running on EMUI 8 earlier and shows an exclaimination mark upon trying to access TWRP (With options at the bottom). Fastboot and stock recovery are still accessable. How to revive this thing now? I've tried various methods, but all of them require TWRP.
Follow this post..https://www.google.co.in/amp/s/foru...pment/oreo-twrp-complete-backup-t3764500/amp/
In short
1. Downlod the two files in that post
2. Connec mobile to PC. Enable usb deuging
3. Install ADB in PC.
4. Copy the two twrp files into the adbfolder.
5. Flash twrp img mount and then flash twrp complete backup
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk file 1
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk fle 2
6. Reboot
To enter twrp..press power plus volumeup onstartup
I made the mistake of leaving the usb lead plugged in when rebooting to recovery, it will not you into emui Erecovery
If you can get into fastboot it's fixable

Mine is fixed! Just download service ROM for honor 7x. Extract the zip and copy the update.app file ''to your phone's SD Card!'' create a folder named 'dload' and put that file in it.
Shut down your device, remove any sort of USB. Press all three buttons. It'll install the stock EMUI.

Where can I download it from?
I have an 8T, it's the same of 8 only with the Nfc, can i use the ginkgo rom?
If you are referring to the MIUI EU ROM you could try, but it will probably fail and nobody has tried it yet.
The issue is we have no way (yet) to recover the device if will bootloop. We have the full ROM file, but it's a recovery zip: inside the zip I can't find a recovery we could flash in fastboot.
EDIT:
Download this recovery for RN8 https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261617206
Extract the file and rename it to recovery.img
Reboot the device in fastboot and run
"fastboot boot [recovery.img]"
This will NOT flash the recovery but only boot it. If it loops, just reboot the device and will be back to normal.

If everything is done correctly, the phone should start booting from the bootleg Redmi Note 8
6. After booting into the system, you can try and experiment with the firmware from RN8.
If you want to return to Redmi note 8T firmware and / or put TWRP and ROOT, then again load the phone in fastbut and continue.
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img

Loading into recovery.
After downloading TWRP, if you want to firmware Redmi note 8T, then do Wipe Data, System and all caches, without closing TWRP, copy to the phone this firmware, flash and boot into the system.
Hi all !!!
so did anyone manage to flash a ROM from the redmi note 8 on the 8T ?
Hello fellow XDA'ers
I have waited and unlocked the phone, running the MIUI 12.5.1.0 (RKHEUXM) the EU Official Rom that came with the phone, and was following the guide on how to root from NaldoTech, but i'm stuck, magisk can't patch any Firmware file i throw at it...
Don't know what i am doing wrong, i opened the zip files manually looking for the boot.img file but i cant seem to find it in any of the Firmwares i download from XiaomiFirmwareUpdater.
Also tried downloading the rom file and extracting the contents using the xiaomi-flashable-firmware-creator, but no luck with that either, throws some permission error at extracting the payload.bin
what can i do from here??
thanks in advance
Easy peasy
Steps
Download Adb and fastboot tool.
Or just download TWRP image and start CMD from there "the folder containing the twrp img" (in destination bar type cmd and press Enter) /the drivers should be installed and working properly ofc.
1- set phone in fastboot mode then plug it in to PC
2- Type: fastboot boot twrp.img (twrp here is the img file)
Then the phone will boot into twrp.
The phone will be shown in PC. Paste Magisk in the phone. Then go back and flash it using TWRP. Then reboot to system. And you're all done.

You're doing something wrong then.
Check all drivers are set up properly. Try flashing twrp then boot to it using Volume UP + Power button.
Make sure you download Nebrassy's twrp 3.5.10
Managed to do it, not with twrp tho, the way i intended originally, i found this payload extractor, went on miui and download latest package (on the phone), after that sent the file to pc and extracted the contents to the payload extractor tool, follow the tool's guide and Tadaaaa! got yoursef a boot.img.
after that was simple and follow the rest of the NaldoTech guide, which is sending the boot.img to phone, open magisk manager, click install, select the boot image to pach, wait couple seconds and done. After that just copy the magisk patched boot image to pc and turn off your phone, enter fastboot, and flash the boot.img in boot_a and boot_b.
and you are done boot the phone and open magisk app to see the installed confirmation
