Flashed wrong kernel. - Honor 7X Questions & Answers

I flashed a wrong boot.img in my honor 7x (BND Al-10) using fastboot and since then, even TWRP isn't accessable. I flashed it, thinking the ROM I'm installed doesn't have anything for the boot partition and that's why isn't booting it (Not even showing up the boot animation). I was running on EMUI 8 earlier and shows an exclaimination mark upon trying to access TWRP (With options at the bottom). Fastboot and stock recovery are still accessable. How to revive this thing now? I've tried various methods, but all of them require TWRP.

Follow this post..https://www.google.co.in/amp/s/foru...pment/oreo-twrp-complete-backup-t3764500/amp/
In short
1. Downlod the two files in that post
2. Connec mobile to PC. Enable usb deuging
3. Install ADB in PC.
4. Copy the two twrp files into the adbfolder.
5. Flash twrp img mount and then flash twrp complete backup
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk file 1
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk fle 2
6. Reboot
To enter twrp..press power plus volumeup onstartup

I made the mistake of leaving the usb lead plugged in when rebooting to recovery, it will not you into emui Erecovery
If you can get into fastboot it's fixable

Mine is fixed! Just download service ROM for honor 7x. Extract the zip and copy the update.app file ''to your phone's SD Card!'' create a folder named 'dload' and put that file in it.
Shut down your device, remove any sort of USB. Press all three buttons. It'll install the stock EMUI.

Go to Original Android developement. It's in the pre-rooted thread, these are the ONLY img files for roms available unless you push the zip file using ADB...
Flash the system zip file rather than trying to flash simply the .img. The zip files are in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/development/asus-zenfone-2-rom-t3054956) and might help because you're also flashing default recovery... could be CWM.
Also try flashing using fastboot.

What worked with me, Problem is simmilar, I flaged the Boot.img and androidboot.img, which Werke attached in the custim Rom folder, too. Without that, I gut stuck at the Boot Logo, now all works fine and I am trying to be up to date with the Roms.

1. download the latest recovery from here https://dl.twrp.me/Z00A/ and firmware from here http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/ZenFone/ZE551ML/UL-Z00A-WW-2.20.40.97-user.zip
2. download and install adb and fastboot driver from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790 and intel usb drivers from here https://software.intel.com/en-us/android/articles/intel-usb-driver-for-android-devices
3.the adb driver should have installed in your pc OS drive [ which is C: ] put the downloaded recovery and firmware in that folder [where adb is installed] then in that folder, open command window by pressing shift and right click and a dialogue box will appear then open the command window from there and enter this command fastboot flash recovery {name of the recovery twrp something}.img then connect your phone to your pc and enter bootloader in your phone and press enter in command window.
4.after that put the downloaded firmware in any sdcard and put it in your phone then open recovery mode in your phone and go to reboot>recovery [yeah you have to reboot the recovery] then when recovery open again then go to wipe>advanced wipe> and select system, data, cache, dalvik and internal storage [internal storage is optional but if you choose it then it will wipe all your data in your phone] then wipe it and go to install section then choose the extsdcard [it should be written internal storage click on that then you can choose your external storage] then in the extstorage choose the firmware you downloaded and just swipe to flash.
5.patience ..because it would take time and maybe get stuck at 52% or 59% ..so just let it take time for installation [btw connect your phone to thr charger in this process]
6.after it done then reboot your phone and ALL DONE. [the first boot will take some mins to boot up]

Don't do this if you don't want to have your phone baseband completely removed meaning no sim card function at all. I did exactly this when trying to install stock room and it deleted my baseband. Luckily I had made a backup a month before that. I restored it from the backup and the phone (sim card) started working again.
Anyways, back to the original issue. So you're saying your phone isn't recognized in fastboot? When I wipe system and data and then go into fastboot and enter "fastboot devices" it shows nothing but I can still flash files into the phone. I'm guessing this is because the phone has no 'name' due to the system wiping. So try going into fastboot on your phone, connect it to PC and open adb, and then enter the command 'fastboot flash recovery twrp.img' (download the latest version of TWRP for Lenovo P2 and rename it to twrp).
If then you are able to enter TWRP after rebooting, download stock Lenovo P2 ROM and flash it.

Twrp replaced by stock recovery

So i unlock and install twrp on my xiaomi redmi note 5 pro, twrp works fine on my device nothing wrong with it, but the next day when i try to open it instead of opening twrp but it's directing me to mi recovery (stock recovery), and i tried to re install twrp again on my device i thought the issues gone, well it works for few times, but later when i came back to twrp it directing me to mi recovery again, I don't know what to do, is there any solution for this? Or i should boot manually on my pc everytime i want to open twrp? Any answers will be appreciated.

Had the same issue. When you flash recovery, boot back into recovery and than flash lazyflasher.zip. The recovery won't be replaced with stock recovery. I even mentioned about it when I faced same issue. Check my old post.

That's because of anti-rollback feature.
In July MiUi was released with anti roll back feature, which prohibits to go back to previous versions of MiUi.
However your problem can be solved with these steps.
1) Download "twrp.img" in RN5P and PC both.
2) Boot into fastboot mode and connect it to the PC.
3) Browse the folder where you have "twrp.img" in PC, and flash it,(I hope you know, how to do that.).
4) Boot into twrp by command "fastboot boot twrp.img" (in Linux use "sudo" before above command incase of permission deficiency)
5) Now your phone will boot into Twrp recovery. Here click on install.
6) In lower right corner you'll see "Install image" button. Click on that. Now browse to the folder you have stored "Twrp.img" in your phone. Install it, select "Recovery" when asked.
That's it. It will be installed permanently untill you reflash any MiUi ROM further after.

I cam confirm that doing step 6 will prevent stock recovery (MIUI) from replacing TWRP.
Another way will be to flash lazyflasher if I'm not wrong but I never have to do it.
Can this work when official ROM is intalled?
is this normal after flashin the twrp ?
No,you didn't make the correct actions and twrp got replaced by stock.Do it again and be sure to make all actions.(Including dumb file etc)
After installing recovery, flash magisk, that's all
copy the twrp .img file in to phone's sd card
boot recovery via fastboot from pc
using cmd
fastboot boot filename.img
after the boot from pc it enters twrp ,then also flash the twrp .img from sd card
thats all
Guys after a little research I figured out that thing at the photo is redmi's 4 series control panel and when I choose the recovery option, it normally enters in TWRP. So after all , I'm good . [emoji868][emoji1690]

guys, i cant see the recovery partition in the list of "select which partition to flash to" when trying to flash twrp. All that's there are: boot, dtbo, vendor image, system image, boot logo, vbmeta partitions only

Mixed Nougat/Oreo partitions

My Honor 7x (BND-L21) is totally bricked for the moment. I think there is Nougat and Oreo partitions at the same time because of Huawei Multi-Tool. Now I can't boot into recovery/eRecovery and the device stucks in the splash screen (bootloader unlocked). I think I have to rewrite all the partitions but I don't know how to do it... If anybody has a solution it will be greatly appreciated, I tried for 1 week!
If your device has a locked bootloader or frp follow these steps
First of charge your device for 1 hour in whatever mode it is..
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=11050483647474828964
Then download the service rom from the above link
Extract the contents of the downloaded file. Copy the dload folder from the extracted files to a sdcard.. (Directly to it not on any directory)
Insert the sd card..
Press all the buttons until the emui logo comes.
After the flashing reaches 100 percent.. Reboot the device unlock the oem in developer option..
Step-2 (Computer)
Download adb drivers and fastboot and install them.
Download complete ota package for your device (make sure you have the correct build number because service rom has a different build number ) (download size will be above 2gb)
Extract all downloaded zip files. Then using huawei firmware extractor extract all contents of the update. app files.. (one update. App file in each zip files)
Copy
kernel. Img
Ramdisk. Img
System. Img
Cust. Img
Version. Img
Vendor. Img
And version. Img to the folder having adb files. And version and vendor files to sd card
//Make sure that the complete ota package you downloaded matches the os before the software brick(noughat or oreo) //
Open the adb folder and do shift plus right click to open command window there and connect your device in fastboot mode to pc
Use the below commands one by one each after completion
Fastboot devices(show your device if its connected)
Fastboot oem unlock (code obtained from huawei unlock page)
#factory rest occur
After tha enter fastboot mode again
Step-3
Fastboot flash ramdisk ramdisk.img
Fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk recovery_ramdisk. Img
Fastboot flash system system. Img
Fastboot flash cust cust.img
Flash twrp using
Fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk twrp. img
Boot your device to recovery mode.( Volume up plus power)
Flash version. Img to version partition and vendor. Img to vendor partition
If you want stock recovery back
Boot into fastboot mode
Enter the command
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk recovery_ramdisk. Img
And do a reboot
Relock bootloader upto your wish..
Better keep oem unlocked in developer options
If you have both unlocked bootloader and frp follow from step 2
I heard huawei discontinued the unlock page
In that case use dc unlocker to find the code
It will cost some money

Thank you I will try this but the dload method didn't worked when I tried 4 days ago...
I can't go into dload update mode (when I hold all the physical buttons the phone restarts and this appears (picture 1) and got stuck on this screen).
Also I don't know why but the phone doesn't charge, when I unplug it after 1h of charge, it shows the critical battery screen (picture 2) and it goes off...
Any help is reaaly appreciated!

If battery is not charging, then it will not take a flash.
You can maybe try remove back cover and unplug battery, then reconnect see if it will take a charge.
As for your question about resetting with fastboot. You can wipe data, and maybe format system also. But I don't think that will help you.
My friend is asking help. His situation is similar. The phone is honor 6x.
My opinion is that something wrong with boot partition. you can ask some body extract the boot image from another phone. Then run "fastboot flash boot_ramdisk boot.img".
Hope it helps

Describe problem please
As I recall it is as follows
** Phone working,
** Attempts some backup or restore using multi-tool
** This made phone no longer boot
**Possible that nougat images flashes to Oreo partition tanle (or visa- versa)
**Now no recovery or erecovery will even boot.
**Also phone shuts off with low battery as soon as cable unplugged.
If this is the case, I see no way forward. Because the battery needs to hold something in order for flashing to complete

Question Hard brick Poco f3 no recovery

Hello community, first of all I clarify that I am using the google translator.
As the title says, my poco f3 has a hard brick, I was trying to flash the miui global rom via fastboot(stock rom was global miui for turkey) but an error occurred in the process (the same as attached in the image), at that moment I got scared because the phone did not start the system.
The bootloader was obviously unlocked, I tried to recover with XiaoMitool but nothing, I couldn't flash super.img either in Xiaomiflash, then I decided to download its stock rom and redo the process but it failed.
Before all this I had tried to install TWRP or OrangeFox but none could be installed, I only got to the TWRP boot but the option to flash the current TWRP did not appear and it did not recognize the internal memory and the OTG with the zip. Right now it only shows the POCO logo and goes directly to fastboot mode.
I'd appreciate your help.
Edit: It does not have the recovery stock

try booting twrp via fastboot and then format data.
Obviously you'll lose your data, but it might give you access to your phone back.
Good morning.
Try to enter with quiet fastboot mode, both in twrp and orange fox, it's the same process. Put the phone in fastboot mode and then open minimal adb.
1. Put the fastboot devices command, the serial number of your mobile should appear on the command screen.
2. Put the command fastboot boot orangefox.img or twrp.img, take a good look at the file you have downloaded, to make the boot easy, it has to be an .img image and not a zip file.
3. If you can get into both fastboot and orangefox, please format the data.
4. Try to flash the miui stock rom with the same process where the error appeared, remember that this rom (it worked for me) has to be the rom for the poco f3 fastboot, since there are 2 versions (I think I have seen this) one which is fastboot and another which is not.
LUCK!

Hello, i had already tried to boot with twrp.img but without success, the good news is that I have already recovered it and the solution was as simple as taking the flash_all.bat from the rom and it could already be in any version of miui.
What I don't understand is why it hadn't worked with XiaoMitool and Xiaomiflash, and I still can't install TWRP because it doesn't recognize internal memory and OTG.
Anyway thanks for your help.

Glad you got it sorted, When installing a MIUI stock rom remember to put the Firm wear folder on your C: Drive and remove any spaces from title,
As for TWRP & Orangefox recoverry, i installed these in fast boot mode and use "Temporary Recovery" by downloading RUN_TWRP-Orange Fox FIXED.bat /unzipping/ and running the "RUN_TWRP-Orange Fox FIXED.bat File, once in temporary OF Recovery you can choose to make OF Recovery permanent by installing current version of OF from within OF, Check my post on the EVO-X Thread post 20,
