Question [FIXED]Fastboot not recognized - Xiaomi Poco F3 / Xiaomi Mi 11X / Redmi K40

Hey,
When I'm trying to connect my phone via fastboot on my PC, Windows doesn't recognize it, with <waiting for any devices>.
ADB is working fine.
On my other PC, it is also working fine, I don't have access to it right now. So I'm stuck.
Are there any drivers that are working for anyone, I tried many, none worked.
Hope anything can help me !

Hey! Yes you can download Mi Flash:
xiaomiflashtool.com
It has the recommended Xiaomi ADB & Fastboot driver!

After some research on xda I saw this thread that had kinda the same issue as me, I tried the method but didn't work.
So I decided to install all Xiaomi tools, especially XaiomiToolsV2 that I think installed the corrects drivers even if the tool is a bit old now. Hope it can help others if they have the same issue.
Always here for more infos

[Q] tried everything can't use fastboot - begging and pleading for help!

OK so I am using windows 8.1; have searched everywhere and tried just about everything imaginable but I still cant get fastboot to work with my HTC One. The phone is recognized fine when I type adb devices on the main screen, however, when I boot into fastboot the phone is simply not recognized by Windows any longer. I get the message USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED. I am currently looking to update my HBOOT which is 1.54.0000 and was under the impression that I need to do a fastboot flash to do this. I am currently running Viper Rom 5.8.
I am desperate here and am willing to make a donation to the person who solves my issue.

Come on. There are other choices.
Download Ubuntu. You can run it from an installation medium without actually installing it.

Don't know anything about Ubuntu....would probably create more issues trying to figure this out. One way or another, I need to get fastboot working on my machine right??

After sending to HTC to have the camera sensor fixed I could no longer get fastboot to work and I had to suffer with stock for a couple of months. I finally resolved this by updating sdk having read recent Windows 7 updates could be the culprit, maybe it was a usb driver update, but was still having issues.I read to try turning usb debug off and on which in the end may have been all that was required. Finally back to S-off running Viper 6.1 which team Viper deserves major props on for a brilliant job. BTW I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate with usb 3 ports only.

P8000 brick

Hi guys
This is my first thread here, so I hope that it is in right place.
Yesterday I received my elephone p8000 but I noticed a problem which I tried to resolved by myself. When I tried to switch on the phone, there was only a dark screen with booting sound. Recovery mode doesn't work so I thought that sp flash tool help when I use format and root phone and go in some way to recovery mode. I put on memory of phone a supersu, a then I format my phone by sp flash tool. I want to upgrade it by sp flash tool but I can't because I have got some problems with usb drivers, I see some errors during processing upgrade.
I have read the topic bbs.elephone hk viewthread&tid=6616&page=5&authorid=12774#.VfDLzZfLJ6I ( I can't post a full link here as a new guy ) and I had a hope that when I install these drivers it will help me, but it doesn't work.
Probably I made a mistake because I don't know too much about android enviroment, but I have the feeling that I'm close to repair my phone by myself, I would like to try some mtk 6753 usb drivers and MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM (Android) but I can't find any on windows 7. Is there anybody who could help me? I'm sorry for my english, I tried to explain everything as good as I can.
Regards.

Hi,
so you basically flashed your phone even though you knew that your USB driver is unstable? Don't do that!
Does your phone still boot (in any mode)?
Check if you can at least get into the bootloader. Hold volume up and power at the same time. If you can't, you probably screwed your device. Oh, and fix your Windows setup! The driver needs to be stable in order to flash the phone again!
Same problem!
you have to instal the package you have download with the tool.
i tried it on my laptop and i had all errors with the drivers. i tried my desktop (win 10 ) and it worked very wel.
i hoop i helped you!:good:
use PDAnet driver!!! And use spflash-tool to reinstall the stock rom!

Not detected in fastboot

I looked everywhere and tried all i could find but my phone wont be recognized in fastboot.
Sideload works though.
Device is recognized as "bootloader device" which seems good, but the fastboot devices gives nothing...
I am on windows 10, tried different drivers, force driver, uninstall and then reinstall with driver verification disabled.
Almost gave up on rooting for this device, never had this much trouble since galaxy S1!
I checked windows updates and got nothing.
Really lost here, anybody have more suggestions?
After looking at other options it seems windows 7 install is the way to go... Really freaking annoying, will try on a vm first. Not really in the mood of doing a second OS just to root the phone lol..

You can install the driver after disabling the driver enforcement..

You can try to live boot Ubuntu on your PC with a USB drive and attempt it with that. I haven't had any issues with adb or fastboot on the newest Ubuntu. It would be worth a shot before downgrading your OS or installing an alternative.

no it didnt work:crying:
I had this Problem aswell many times....i guess u are using windows 8 or 10?
So Adb is giving u the "no device found" message?
What helped my is just trying out all sorts of stuff, reinstalling drivers, trying other drivers like adb universal drivers or lenovo drivers or zuk drivers..... reinstall them and try again.
Also try this one:
google for disabling driver signature verification...(cant post links cause i am a new user)...
and try to directly use the right command for adb...dont rely on the command for finding ur device...i once had a long night where my zuk z2 was bricked after flashing baseband and i had the same problem u had....it never found my device but when i just straight up used the command to unlock my bootloader it suddenly worked.
Also restart ur pc after every driver install.

Question Downgrade from Pixel 5 Port

So I wanted to try out the A12. I really like it, but the ROM makes it unenjoyable. Slow speeds, stutter, lag, delay in actions like: locking the screen, volume control.
I want to ask if I need to do something special to downgrade or I can just simply flash the device? (Wanting to flash Pixel Experience)

Just flash the latest stable release of your MIUI build thru fastboot with miflash and you are set.
Dont attempt to flash anything via TWRP or any other method, or you will brick your phone.
Also, "DO NOT LOCK YOUR BOOTLOADER".
=)
Thank you very much for your help!
I want to also ask why is my MiFlash "flashing" the phone in 0 or 1 second. I know that it does not flash the phone.
Can you help me solve this issue?

Some questions to understand the situation...
Is the usb debugging option enabled in the developer settings of the phone?
Are the phone drivers installed correctly on the pc?
Have you tried to restart the pc after installing miflash and drivers?
Have you tried to start miflash as administrator?
Usb Debugging is enabled
I didn't install any drivers, since I didn't see it was required
The PC has been restarted since, Yes.
I didn't try it yet.

Also try to change the USB port to which you connect the phone to the PC if 2.0 is better.
then you may have other useful information in this guide

I am using USB 2.0 for everything.
I'll get back to you with the updates in about 30 minutes

I have found out, that the same drivers are also included in Mi Flash, and that you just need to boot Windows with Driver Signature Enforcement disabled to be able to install all the drivers.

Disconnect phone from PC and reboot Fastboot Mode, then re-connect to PC.
This is because, after an initiated Flash, Fastboot Mode may not accept any more input.
Also make sure to not reboot Fastboot Mode while phone is already connected to PC. You need to connect after you rebooted Fastboot.
This sounds weird, but you can also try using a different PC. Mi Flash is stubborn.
You can also try putting the ROM-folder directly to C:/.
Mi Flash doesn't like spaces in folder-names, and although you don't have any spaces I would still do it... Mi Flash's errors are unpredictable.
And yeah, like RollDload said, try using a different USB port
or try this: https://www.droidwin.com/unbrick-poco-f3/
this was te only way to get my F3 back.
