reinstall driver , format your computer ??
And please note that here Development Forum
pls post it to right place -____-
Don't be so mean. Have you ever got into despair when having a problem? Have you though that the forum name is not the most relevant one? By the way, where should a question like this be posted?!
TO answer the question... it is not easy so solve. You will need to clean your PC of all possible traces of old drivers. To do that, with the phone disconnected, go to Device Manager on PC (google if you don't know how). Then, remove any possible references to your phone using the information from here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/ff184583.aspx
After that, install Sony PC Sync software. Follow the steps. At the end, it should tell you that you should connect phone.
Everything should work now (your phone will be finally re-discovered).
Before you do that, also try to disable Debugging on the phone and set the PC connection to MTP.
Good Luck!

Hi guys, my dad got a problem with his rooted HTC One X. His phone crashed after flashing. After the crash he formatted the phone except for the SD card. Now none of our computers recognize the phone anymore so he isn't able to put firmware on it. He has tried to mount/unmount the SD card via device manager, but the computer sees it as an unknown device. My dad tried to install the drivers but that didn't work. After that he tried to install ADB drivers but that also didn't work. Anyone here who can help him?
Yup, dozens of ppl here can help him.
What did he flash?
What firmware are you talking about?
ROM? Firmware.zip?
What do you mean by "didn't work"? Did he actually install the drivers or did it fail?

Hmm, I actually don't know what he flashed; I'll ask him when he gets home! I was talking about ROM. He actually installed the drivers but the computer still didn't recognize the phone

Hello,
I have the same problem with my HOX, after rooting I can't connect to my pc , so I cant flash anything.
Theo
My friend is also having this same issue.
The phone is not turning on.
HTC Sync Manager, ADB, non of them recognize the device.
Holding Vol down + Power button didn't do anything.
It's like the device is completely dead. But when connected to the PC, device manager shows it as an unknown device.
Any ideas/ solutions?
Make sure you dont use a USB3.0 connection. We had a hard time getting adb to work last night. My suggestion is to deinstall the htc drivers, uninstall the unknown device. Reinstall the htc drivers and reboot the pc then hook the phone to the pc and let it install. If it still comes up with unknown device you click it and select to install your own your own drivers and then select to choose from the list......you should see ANDROID PHONE in the list, click it and there should be an option called MY HTC install it and reboot the phone and the pc ....this way we got it working last night.

Thanks again for the reply. I've already tried it. Nothing gets installed. And still it says Unknown device.
Well the problem that QQ had is solved. We got the drivers in order late lastnight after a lot of de-installing and re-installing of java and HTC drivers .....finally it worked, but then the battery ran out so i wrote him a full and easy to use tutorial and put the files he needed where they had to be .....
:and he did a great job following the steps and got him back a full working phone

Hi, so I just bought a Xperia S and before doing anything thought I should set a Pattern Lock for security, so I did and now I cant remember the pattern... I bought the phone second hand and so have no guarantee or anything and need a way to get in.
I hadn't even put my Gmail details in yet so thats no use, I haven't installed any recovery or CWM and there is none on there as stock. And USB debugging is turned of...
Ive tried several things ive seen on here but its no use as I cannot use ADB without USB debugging.
Is there any way to get into the phone, past the pattern lock, even for just a second so I can turn on USB debugging, or is there another way to turn it on?
Or does anybody have any other solutions such as ways I can flash CWM onto the device without debugging. As it is a new phone for me I would obviously be happy to erase the data if necessary, I wonder if theres a way to completely erase and reinstall android?
Any ideas or suggestions would be very much appreciated, thanks
Dude,
You could try booting into the stock recovery and doing a factory reset.
In theory it should work.

Dude,
Sorry I forgot that there is no stock recovery, I havn't ran stock on my XS for a while.
You can try using SEUS to flash the current stock firmware, this will erase all data on the phone and be like it was out of the box.
Hope it helps

ok so the first step download ftf from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2422053 then download flashtool from here http://www.flashtool.net/download.php and install it's drivers from it's DRIVER FOLDER and install adb driver(search on the net about it). then search the internet about flashing ftf using flashtool, if you need i will write the whole method. http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/fastboot-buttons in this page they told old you about gettting into the fastboot by pressing volume up button and plugging the usb at the sametime. then tell me what's wrong or it worked

There is no drivers folder in my download, its just the actual fastboot program, I guess the download is different in the mac version... when I plug into fastboot, nothing happens... fastboot continues to ask for a device to be plugged in. I don't know where would borrow a windows pc from... are there any other ways of doing this?

Hello,
I really dont know what to do anymore.
No matter which ROM I flash, I always get stuck in a bootloop. I always wait 20-25 for a boot, but it doesnt pass the bootanimation.
Here is what happened:
My PC didnt recognize my phone anymore even though I didnt change any driver settings or something like that. Same with other PCs, not even showing up in device manager at all. So I thought I messed up some settings in my phone, thats why I wiped data, system, cache, internal store, then pushed a new ROM to my phone via USB OTG, but it doesnt boot at all. Phone still doesnt get recognized by any pc, not even in TWRP or bootloader.
Here are the things I tried so far:
- Ressurrection Remix (latest 3 versions) with OpenGapps
- Lineage OS with DynamicGapps
- both of them without any gapps
- OMNI Rom with DynamicGapps
I also did a factory reset before every flash. After 20 minutes of bootloop I also tried a 2nd boot for 20 minutes...nothing.
Since I cant access my phone from PC I cant flash stock ROM (or is it possible to flash it via TWRP?). I guess I just wiped something that I shouldnt have wiped. Does anyone have an idea what else I could try?
I had something similar happen to my 5x a while back. After fiddling with drivers/device manager etc, I found this on net which actually worked for me:
Solution 5 – Uninstall Android drivers if PC not recognizing phone
Sometimes you might not have the latest drivers, or your drivers might not be properly installed, so in order to fix issues with Android devices and Windows 10, it’s advised that you uninstall your Android drivers. To do so, follow these steps:
Connect your Android device to your computer and open Device Manager.
In Device Manager locate your Android device. Usually it’s located in Other Devices or in Portable devices section, but the location might be different on your computer.
Right click the device and choose Uninstall.
uninstall-driver
After the drivers have been uninstalled, disconnect your Android device.
Reconnect it again, and wait for Windows 10 to install its drivers again.
Check if your Android device is now recognized.

Above post fixed my driver/PC not recognizing phone issue. As far as your bootloop issue, I'm assuming your bootloader is still unlocked, right? If so, and if above fix works where PC recognizes phone, try flashing google factory images via fastboot commands.

I also tried it on a new PC that did never get in touch with an android phone - nothing. Not even a sound when I plug it in. The phone is just charging, thats it.

Hi, I am new to custom ROMs install , recently got a Poco F3 and When installing I run into a problem, the pc doesnt recognize the device after I run the batch install for the device, when running the console, it gets stuck here (Ill add a picture), its been one hour like this, whta can I do? I am using the lastest version of Pixel Extended.
Also I can no longer get back into normal MIUI so IDK what to do.
Thanks for any help and sorry if this sounds like such a noob mistake but I am really lost right now
Edit:
SOLVED! IDK how, but It was a drivers issue, had to install It and uninstall it multiple times, sometimes the device manager would recognize it but the console script wouldn't, don't know really why it happened but hey I fixed it and managed to install custom ROMs, thanks for the help.
looks like a driver issue when its rebooting fastboot mode, check device manager, might just need to unplug cable and then plug back in to get it working again.
if that doesnt help try a different driver on the pc.
