Not unless you enjoy replacing screens
Nope. It uses a different digitizer than the Note 20
Did you watch any videos why there is a new pen in the first place...
No hack, you can't use other pens unless you want to damage the screen.
No only use the fold s pen or s pen pro with the fold switch.
This is to not damage the screen.
You will dig into the protector with a normal spen

I am having a problem with my Note 2 in general but in particular when in use the Spen that comes with the eraser. When u try to write about a quarter inch from the same left border the ink doesn't register. If I draw a horizontal like across the page I will get the first Harter in then it skips for about quarter in before resuming again.
I thought that is was just a dead area but when I change angles on the pen or use more pressure the line draws solid.
I tried a couple different tips but no difference. It is slightly better with the Note 2 Spen.
Ideas?

I have a similar problem. My Spen with eraser will only write in the middle of the screen, and eratically even there. The stock Spen works 100%.
Moreover, the Spen with eraser works fine on other Note 2s.
I called Samsung about it, and they eventually gave me an rma number for the phone, but I am not sure if I'm going to send it in. No guarantee the replacement will be any better.
Btw, this is all after trying the porentiometer adjustment.
It must be a Sprint Note 2 thing.
My Spen eraser does the same thing.
I ended up getting the Spen kit for the Note1 and it works great. It also feels much more like a real pen for me.
I found this thread doing a search, I usually hang over on the VZW part of this forum. I also have been having the same troubles with the spen with eraser. I changed tips and that made things even worse. Question for those using the spen kit for note 1, does the stock spen for the note 2 fit in the barrel of the pen holder in the kit?
I looked at the tips of the stock spen and the spen with eraser and they are shaped differently. My spen with eraser will work if I hold the spen completely vertical to the screen, but how often can I do that? I am usually in a hurry to jot something down and do not have time to put it on a level surface and hold the pen vertical.
Same issue I have had

Hi, I wanted to know if there is a way to turn off the automatic magnetic unlock feature of the 10.1 Note. I've got a case that sometimes will turn of (lock) my Note 10.1 when I don't want it to turn of, without closing the case itself.
Thanks in advance,
Ben
Same problem here......I even changed the case!!
Probably something that would require a kernel level change.
Check Under accessory settings. Tasker can probably disable the Magnetic Sensor

There is a xposed module called MagnetOff

Hit the Thanks button if I was able to help you
From Poetic support, turning WiFi off normally takes care of the problem.

I've noticed on mine when I uncheck settings>general>acessory>daynote it won't lock when I close the cover. Worth a shot on yours!
I also have that feature disabled. The case also has a cut out for the home button. I traditionally keep the wifi disabled.

Hi all,
i'm running into, i believe, is the same issue.
When rotating or moving the tablet, the screen will automatically turn off and lock.
I've disabled the eye sensor, increased the screen time out, and disabled day note, with no luck.
Such a pain!
If i root this device, is there a guaranteed way around this 'feature'?
Well, i couldnt take it anymore and removed the magnet from the case.
Here's the case in question:
w w w.amazon.com/COD-Leather-Samsung-Galaxy-Edition/dp/B00EZB3EXU
what i did was to take another magnet and move it around the cover until it connected with the other magnet.
With a sharp exacto blade, i split the seam of the cover and pulled out the magnet (about 5mm in diamater).
It's all good now

I've read that the magnet may also interfere with the stylus pen. Will be getting a new keyboard/touchpad leather case soon but I didn't read whether it had a magnetic strap or not. Guess it won't bother me much and like the user above will probably find a way to remove it.

having the same problem with my note 10.1. Am using an after market cover which is quite good except that when the cover edges touch, the screen automatically switches off. Very frustrating. Wish samsung would provide a way to disable the magnetic sensor. I am rooted and even tried the magnet off xposed module but it doesn't work.
Any news about that problem ?? I have to disable the magnetic sensor !!
I removed the magnets.

Hmm, but i don't want to cut it out.Is there any way to close magnetic sensor with build.prop ? I mean what is the tweak code for this ?
Did anyone find any way to turn off the magnetic lock and unlock function? When I backfold my cover (aftermarket), it automatically locks my tab. Which is very irritating. I have Samsung galaxy tab S5e
I lost my stylus pen.. Is there a way to disable the stylus digitizer? I want my phone to pretty much act like the stylus pen is still inside the phone..
Thanks!
Appreciate the help...

Do other note 4 pens work on your device? You may have a defective device. The pen actually pulls electricity from the phone through induction. There are coils behind the screen that create an electromagnetic field which induce current on coils at the tip of the pen. If no pen can pick up the induction you probably have a bad device. Why the capacitive buttons work I don't know. Also, go to settings (spen) and verify everything is checked or on.

Why isn't your phone under warranty. It's a defect. It should be covered for a year.

Well I got it as a gift from abroad and it was not launched in my area officially.... I guess I will to show it to local Samsung guys.... Let's see what they have to say. Thanks buddy

I have just noticed that my S-Pen Fold Edition is no longer working when writing or drawing on certain parts of the screen. I have tried using S-Note and other applications, I am not sure if this is a hardware issue. I have tried a reboot and a wiping the cache in the software partition. But none of these work.
Looks like my Fold 3 has developed more issues. Looks like it is going to the Samsung Service Center
If you dont have a case with magnets then that is a hardware problem usually with the flex cable inside the hinge. If you have case with magnets then try removing the case magnet even small can make deadzone in the s pen sensor under the screen

My case didn't have magnets, but I use to use a LD West holster which did have magnets. I am not sure if that caused any issues with my Fold 3. As I was using my Fold 3 in that case for over 5 months and it worked perfectly along with the S-Pen in the inner screen. It was only just recently that I developed problems with the S-Pen not working in certain parts of the inner screen. Now the speakers don't work when I open my Fold 3 completely.

Definitely flex cable issue if the speaker dont work when unfolded but works when folded. Repair will be replacement of entire inner screen. By the way, how many times per day do you usually unfold the phone for it to break the flex cable?

And Samsung rated the fold 3 for 100 folds a day for 5 yrs. Maybe they didnt include the flex cables only the screen . The warranty on these foldables should be atleast 2 yrs

I also had placed quite close to my Galaxy Tab s5e, which has the official Samsung Keyboard case, I am not sure if having close to that may have cause issues with my Fold 3.... I didn't think that the magnets in the Samsung Keyboard case for my Galaxy Tab S5e would be powerful enough to damage my Fold 3....
I am just glad that I got mine repaired. Samsung managed to get it back to me within a couple of days. It took me around 3 hours to restore all my data and accounts back onto it.
The person at Samsung said that the issue was that the spine in my Fold 3 and the monitor was damaged. But I agree that with what you have said I suspect that the ribbon cable maybe damaged due to be close to magnets on various items on my desk.
