Hi all
Yesterday I was in a city which has 5G coverage (according to Telstra). My phone showed 5G on the home screen but when i went into the available networks screen 5G was nowhere to be seen.
Ran a Telstra speed test and got 29.7Mbps which looks slow (i ran the same test at the same time with my wifes iphone 7 (which has no 5G) and it thrashed my Redmi K30 5G with a download speed of 97.9Mbps.

Does anyone know why the phone would be showing 5G on the home screen but not in the networks screen?
Maybe your mobile network has missed to naming their network names maybe the towers using 4G/5G signals but the name of it has 4G tag name

The following is an image of the insides/chips of the SGH-i788, which you might guess by the name is a clone of the i780. This phone was made for release in China, and the interesting thing about it is that most chinese spec sites list it as having quad band GSM, a step up from the regular i780. On the other hand they don't list it as 3G capable.
I have no idea how to decipher the codes of the qualcomm chips but I was hoping someone that could would be able to see exactly what this was capable of. Perhaps this phone will come with an update that could unlock the 850mhz?

The official samsung info page for this phone: http://cn.samsungmobile.com/cn/phone/view/value.jsp?productid=SGH-i788
It seems to have a slightly larger battery (1480mAh) and is missing the front facing camera, along with the ability to connect to 850mhz networks.
We all know Samsung GS6 is capable of aggregating two separate LTE bands, like Band 12 + Band 4. But has anyone ever seen that actually happening using T-Mobile variant?
By dialing *#0011# you get into the Engineering Mode, where you will be able to observe lots of connectivity. you're looking specifically:
CA:NONE = No carrier aggregation
CA:ADDED = secondary carrier added waiting to engage in downloading
CA:ACTIVATED = your download session is in progress and secondary carrier is fully engaged.

Hey. I bought a new Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro (6GB - 64GB).
I have a problem.
I took out the sim card, switched on the flight mode, and use the phone.
The battery discharges very quickly!
The phone spends energy on SEARCHING FOR THE MOBILE NETWORK!
But the flight mode is on!
What to do?

i wanted to force 4g+ on my network since my phone was always on 4g while it should have been 4g+ so i used this command hw_show_4_5g_for_mcc with Setting Database Editor app and it worked and showed 4g+ up there but i decided to delete the command but accidentally i deleted another line that i guess it was hw_show_4g_for_mcc i put it back there but im not sure about the values and now on 4g i recieve like 10kbps but on H+ i recieve like 400kbps .any idea how to find that setting and its values or how to reset the settings i tried resetting the phone and network setting its usless.

After playing with the APN I did achieved 36 download on 5G but LTE is still faster
5G is designed to be much faster than LTE, with theoretical speeds of up to 10Gbps, compared to LTE's theoretical maximum of 1Gbps but sometimes adaptive network feature means if you are doing normal browsing that does not require high-speed internet, your iPhone will switch to 4G LTE instead of 5G and if you are doing stuff like streaming or downloading, then it will switch to 5G affects the overall speed.
