We all know Samsung GS6 is capable of aggregating two separate LTE bands, like Band 12 + Band 4. But has anyone ever seen that actually happening using T-Mobile variant?
By dialing *#0011# you get into the Engineering Mode, where you will be able to observe lots of connectivity. you're looking specifically:
CA:NONE = No carrier aggregation
CA:ADDED = secondary carrier added waiting to engage in downloading
CA:ACTIVATED = your download session is in progress and secondary carrier is fully engaged.

The following is an image of the insides/chips of the SGH-i788, which you might guess by the name is a clone of the i780. This phone was made for release in China, and the interesting thing about it is that most chinese spec sites list it as having quad band GSM, a step up from the regular i780. On the other hand they don't list it as 3G capable.
I have no idea how to decipher the codes of the qualcomm chips but I was hoping someone that could would be able to see exactly what this was capable of. Perhaps this phone will come with an update that could unlock the 850mhz?

The official samsung info page for this phone: http://cn.samsungmobile.com/cn/phone/view/value.jsp?productid=SGH-i788
It seems to have a slightly larger battery (1480mAh) and is missing the front facing camera, along with the ability to connect to 850mhz networks.
I asked a T-Mo associate in the store, and he wasn't very confident on what the best settings should be nor what they meant....
I'm sure some of our guys do, and would like to know what those settings should be.
Thanks guys!

GSM/WCDMA but it shouldn't make a difference since we don't have an LTE modem in our phones.
GSM/WCDMA auto mode will automatically switch between HSPA/HSPA+ when available. If you're in a strong HSPA+ area, enabling 'WCDMA only' can help prevent the dreaded data "hang."
I also have an International Version of the M8. My carrier just activated VoLTE on their side and say I have to activate it on the settings but I dont see that option anywhere on the settings.

Can someone please help? Is there a workaround?
Cheers
If its not in the settings, its no supported by the ROM. Not sure if there are many custom ROMs which include VoLTE. You might search on some of the ROM threads, and see if its discussed at all.
I know AT&T based ROMs include the feature. But AT&T's implementation of VoLTE is so peculiar, I would not recommend using an AT&T based ROM (VoLTE probably won't work on other carriers).
I noticed on samsung S10 phones you can beside setting the network type to 2.5 or 5ghz, also chose a channel manually (1-13 for 2.5ghz)
It looks like this:

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
This setting is not present on Nokia 5.1 Plus (TA-1105) with stock Android 9 ROM. By default the hotspot is set to channel 13 for 2.5ghz (I can see the channel number with wi-fi analyzer), but some older devices i have can only see 2.5ghz networks on channels 1-11.
Any idea if this setting can be found anywhere hidden in the phone?
I have SetEdit installed but don't know where I should look.
When I go to Settings>about phone>software information and scroll down to service provider SW ver. it says:

when I look at all my other phones it usually says
VZW/VZW/VZW instead of just 1 VZW like pictured. I first noticed after trying to flash from g955u to g955u1 in odin and getting fail at the end and finally got it in z3x/samsung pro tool. but the device says g955u1 and seems to work. anybody else experience this? any solutions to mak it like normal?
