Question The most disappointing phone that currently exists. - OnePlus 9 Pro

I feel so stupid for buying this phone only for it to perform worse than phones 2-3 generations older in Browser Benchmarks, this reminds me of the Snapdragon 801 era that was also filled with overheating and performance issues, the phone is utter trash and if you are looking to buy the phone, PLEASE STAY AWAY. Get any other phone in the same range it will literally be better than this.
OnePlus must be sued just like how NVIDIA was sued for GTX 970. I will never buy a OnePlus again.

Return it. best of luck.

amazon does not usually allow refunds, they only provide replacements
I have been using it for 24 hours now, why is the touch response so DAMN LAGGY at 120 FPS and HYPER TOUCH ENABLED?!? I compared it with Oppo Find X2 Pro with the exact same Resolution and FPS and Oppo is butter smooth and this damn thing crawls like a village drunk when opening Accubattery from the status BAR.
OnePlus will never be successful in US after this. They just lied and I was dumb and believed them.

I have it for about 3 weeks now and I didn't notice any slowdowns in browsing web on Chrome. I don't know why do you care about benchmark results ? If they drop performance to level where you can save some battery but you didn't feel slower, for me it's very good decision and this is called optimisation.
The only thing is that they should inform us about it.

People all complain about benchmarking! You buy a phone to use it! not to benchmark it! Jeeez

You have three types of people those who buy a phone to use, those who buy to benchmark and the numbers mean life or death. And those who just like to complain on some forums online .

Obvious troll is obvious

I haven't noticed any lag or stuttering. Been using the phone for about a month now. Very smooth and no obvious throttling even though I'm sure it's occurring.

My God. You use a phone 24 hours and then go complaining about it like this? Calm down mate! You want to immediately sue them, geez. "Utter trash", haha. Not one professional review is this negative - why could that be? And then your title: Like everyone is this extermely negative "The most disappointing phone that currently exists". You could add "of the universe" for extra drama, you know. Get a grip.
Only thing I know of is some battery issues, that could well be resolved with updates. I have no issues at all (besides that battery life is a little dissapointing): one of the smootest experiences ever - not kidding.
Ask yourself the questions: Why am I litteraly the only one complaining in this magnitude? Could it be me?
Could it be that it's just a faulty phone? It happens you know.
Are you on the latest firmware?

Buying a ONE X

Hi everyone!
I'm a LG O3D user (with great regrets...) and I have the possibility of a (almost) new ONE X, unbranded for €300.
I know that every phone as its issues, and I've read the foruns in search of those issues in the ONE X, but wanted to have a deeper insight on the everyday life with this one.
I really like HTC and having owned a Hero, and knowing the support (at least here in Pt) is good, I'm really thinking of it.
Thank you very much!
I have had no problems with my One X, but from what I have read there are a few things you should check out before buying.
Check the wi-fi signal, GPS signal consistancy.
I think those 2 are the most common problems and the most annoying ones. I read also something about a gap between the screen and case, but not sure about it.
All of those can be checked out easily (10-20 minutes) before buying, so make sure you do that! You would not want to shell out 300 to find out wi-fi does not work, or you GPS is incredibly inacurate.
Thanks for the info!
I'm testing it tomorow or the day after.
Whats your thoughts on the battery life?

Battery life is surprisingly good for me. After the first couple days i easily get over 12 hours before reaching 20%. Must say i love that the phone drains almost no battery when listening to music in my experiences.

The wifi issue normally doesnt substantiate until a couple of weeks in use, and so does the screen flickering issue. So far popular know issues include:
1) Bad battery life (~ 2 hr of screen time)
2) Over heating after 5-10minutes in use
3) GPS issue
4) Screen flex issue
5) Screen flickering (mostly solved)
6) Antenna issue
7) 3G connection
8) Gaps
9) Sense issues
And before you buy this you should pray to your lucky star that you wont get a dud one. I've seen people on this forum going thru so much stress w HTC and this phone.
Battery life there are days I think not bad and on others I ask myself what the hell? Despite having my phone for around 4 or 5 months I still do notice drops of 3-5% in battery life. I can't really make my mind up for this device. I can't tell if htc is going to improve anything on this device anymore or if that's just as good as it gets. It'll be best if you just end up expecting nothing from HTC. That will save you from having expectations that wont be met anyway.
Edit: by the way there is a battery life thread with a trillion posts in it. Just open it and come up with a conclusion yourself. Be warned though, you might see people with around 5 to 6 hours of screen time which seems really questionable to me. I would say the people posting screen times of anywhere between 2 to 4 hours 30 minutes screen time are legit.

One X user (Tegra version) since one week. Switched to the CM10 preview this weekend. Very good phone, battery life is on par with the rest. If you check the points mentioned above (also make sure the power and volume buttons are responsive), that sounds like a good deal. ROM community is very active, JB support already almost flawless. Also, the screen is the best I have seen on a phone so far.

Just go get a sgs3. You can expect a crappy design plus a display not as nice as the one x in my opinion. But you also get to have a better performance, little to no lag, much better battery life.probably less hardware faults etc. (You at least know what you can expect and you actually get it)

Honestly I think HTC has been playing the blame games and time buying strategies to the extent of ignoring customers and treating like crap. But still better than LG as far as I have known. And as someone has said, if you want a better chance of getting a drama free phone better get the SGS3, as much as I hate Samsung. But you're not gonna have that beautiful hardware and AMAZING screen (funny how i say this since I dont own it lol).
This is a co-worker who's selling its ONE X, so no S3 option for me...
I'm having a lot of trouble in knowing what to focus on, because from what I see (read), there are issues (as with every single phone), and I think the important part is the support by HTC being good.
On that point (HTC support), what do you think? Any experience with them?

Long term htc users: "HTC supporrt is great, they might lack a little at first, but sooner or later(probably they mean later) they will just nail the update properly and it will all function nicely."
first time HTC user(myself): i've yet to see any of the support and i honestly feel like i'm not in good hands but i'm still open for them to prove it. The only reason i haven't completely given up on htc is because of the people who have been with htc for a much longer time. They seem to have a much different opinion of HTC and their updates and what not.
Oh yeah, not to forget, rooting/flashing can void your warranty *HIGH FIVE*
in my opinion to have your HOX function properly, you're gonna want to root.
edit: since it's a co-worker you're probably going to be getting it cheaper, right? Which will probably make the OneX more worthy of its price.
First thing you're going to want to do is check if his bootloader says "unlocked" or "relocked" or "locked" - this would make it possible for you to lower the price and get it even cheaper
Well on the update point, I think LG just trumps every single brand on the market... They simple don't give us any... LOL
Regarding the list of possible issues, do you think it can be easily observed? or its more of a wear-by-time kind of thing?

Honestly! When i got this phone i was the happiest person on earth until i noticed a few problems here and there and this just ruined the overall user experience. There's something about this phone that tells me i want to keep it. Design is gorgeous, sometimes i just turn the phone around just to admire the awesome look of how it's built. When the problems start to pile up, however, you get really unsatisfied.
With later batches i heard the phone is supposed to be pretty good and problem-free. I believe the main issues that you won't see immediately is the WLAN issue and maybe a bit of a screen gap. Haven't really been hearing much of the flicker issues anymore.
How to notice the WiFi issue i'd suggest a google search or for you to look around @ xda forums. I don't really feel like explaining it. Actually, youtube should help you in this case --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKCJ4Ab2tIo
Well, being a smartphone user for some time, I can relate with that feeling...
I'm going to buy it, sell my O3D, and may the gods of smartphone be with me!
Thank you so much for your help.
P.S. It will cost me €300, being that here in Pt, a new unlocked one costs €700...

Does anyone actually LIKE this phone?

I ask this question but I want to upgrade from my iPhone 6. My last phone was a gs5. All I keep reading about and seeing on these forums are the complaints about this phone and everything people dislike about it. I like how it feels in the hands but if it is not functional, than it is a waste for me.
Does anyone actually like the phone? Does it actually work for some of you? Do some of you not have the issues that I read about on these boards?
Memory leaks, bad battery life, lags, reboots.. These terms scare me.
Is it worth the money?
All I really care about is flawless wifi calling and text messages actually being sent when on wifi.
Thank you
Well, the real question here is do YOU actually like this phone?
I personally love it. I've read complaints too, but then again much praise (like with any device). I've noticed though that people that come from iOS might have a hard time switching or detaching. I'd encourage you to go to a store, try a demo yourself and see if it's something you like. You always have a time frame to return the device anywho no?
Just my two cents.
Are you kidding, I would have sex with this phone if I could!
That's how much I like it.
I get phenomenal battery life, all my friends and relatives envy my battery life and power.
Every action on this phone is super quick and smooth, sometimes it feels or doesn't feel like I even touch the screen before it reacts to my input.
I constantly check for leaking memory but haven't seen not one drop or drip come out of this phone. Everyone complains about it but I have yet to see any proof of any kind posted here. A screen shot or log would do, but nothing, maybe it's fiction.
This is the phone reinvented by Samsung.
Nothing that I have used , sampled or seen or even read about compares to this superb feat of crafty workmanship.
I paid 700+ for this phone, peanuts, for what I got, sometimes I feel like I ripped off Samsung, it's like I got too much for the money I paid.
I'm getting a S6e tattoo on my face, that's how much I love this phone.
Sometimes I give it kisses, when no one is looking.
Pp.
Mine ended war and brought peace on earth! It's believed that when the universe was created, the blue prints were actually made on the phone by the ethereal gods that made us.
My cancer was also cured.
In reality though: This phone is AWESOME.
My phone is not laggy, I have AMAZING battery life, performance is super top notch (what's a stutter? What's a lag spike?). I understand how concerned it might be to plunge into something new (like a new handset), but trust me; This phone is the daddy of all flagships.
Honestly the phones alright. For something with the latest snapdragon I expected it to be a lot snappier than what it is. Camera is hands down awesome. But the phone as a whole I would give a 7 out of 10.

Screw it I bought it. Took advantage of the double your memory deal and got the 64gb for the price of the 32 in white. Free overnight shipping also. Just gotta wait till tuesday since its sunday. Already bought an UAG case for it and screen protector.
If I hate it, ill just return it in 20 days and keep my iPhone 6.
Heres hoping for the best
Welcome to the cult club!
I upgraded from the S5 because I have the JUMP plan, and it's almost a waste of money to not take the upgrade each year. I do miss the S5's waterproof feature, and I think the screen's quality was better (not the resolution), but the pure sexiness and feel of this phone makes up for it. This device really does feel good in the hand, and I refuse to put a case on it.
But, that said, when the Galaxy S7-or-whatever drops likely-next-year-around-April, I'll likely be upgrading and abandoning you guys. Sorry! >_<

Smoothness Becomes Less Eventually?

The first day I got the phone, it was so smooth that I couldn't believe it. Now after one month's usage it feels less smooth. I notice stutter here and there, while scrolling through WhatsApp list, while entering and exiting apps etc. Is this because the performance is degrading or am I just getting used with it and my mind demands more?
In any case, will a custom ROM like PureNexus be any better in terms of this? I'm on ElX kernel.

Nah, it will be the same. Allot of it is just the app not being smooth, not the OS. Over time the cache builds and things just stutter some. The device is still a beast

Hard to say for sure, but for the most part I feel like its just as smooth as day one. In fact, I was thinking recently how impressed I was that I hadn't reboot my phone for 3 weeks and its been rock solid stable and buttery smooth the whole time. I'm on full stock, rooted with TWRP.

My previous phone was a Note 7. My standards are a bit high... If you are not familiar with Note 7, it's like trading in a Bugatti Veyron for a Mustang (and yes, I own a Stang.)

Not to get too OT but I gotta step in and say something. What are you doing here on XDA? Every time I go into a thread I'm bound to see a post from you just ****ting all over this phone. Your comments are unconstructive and extremely off-putting. Some posters here have had their phone for a month or so, maybe less. If you went out a bought a new Mustang and someone came up to you and said "That car is a piece of ****, I can't beleive you like that thing." you'd feel pretty bad right? Or at least ticked off. I get that you miss your Note 7, I really do. Hang in there and you'll get your Note 8 soon enough.
----
Back on topic, the phone is still smooth as hell for me. It'll trip on a few things here and there but it's really so minor and occurs so rarely that when I catch it I question if it actually even happened. If that makes sense.. I think when we start to see optimized ROMs and Kernel devs begin merging in cherry-picked updates to Sched and upstream updates, things will get near flawless with this phone. The one thing that concerns me is the lack of F2FS. The storage speed on this phone is pretty lacking, as discussed in my thread discussing why the OP3T with similar hardware is so much faster than this phone. F2FS is much easier on the phone's storage whereas EXT4 will eventually lead to performance degradation over time. Again, I feel that Kernels will rectify this in the future.
Another facet of this might just be that you're used to the speed by now. I'm sometimes still amazed by how much faster this phone is at certain tasks than my Nexus 5X, but when I first got this phone I was in awe nearly all the time when using it. Now it just seems normal to me.
I am coming from using an S7 (which has the same ram and processor as the Note 7) and this Pixel is MUCH faster than my S7 was.
I myself had the Note 7 and this phone puts the Note 7 to shame in a speed comparison. My note 7 lagged like no other. Maybe mine was a defective one but my Pixel XL is blazing fast even after about 2 months of usage. ?

Your comments are unconstructive and extremely off-putting. Some posters here have had their phone for a month or so, maybe less. If you went out a bought a new Mustang and someone came up to you and said "That car is a piece of ****, I can't beleive you like that thing." you'd feel pretty bad right? Or at least ticked off. If you don't like the phone, why are you even on XDA? Just use the phone until you can get rid of it and keep your crappy opinion to yourself. These threads aren't meant for discussing how bad it is. The idea is that we all work constructively with the hopes of achieving the best possible user experience for everyone

No thanks on the Samjunk. One man's trash is another man's treasure. Funny how non garbage it was considering the outcome of exploding phones, only to end up EOLd in a landfill

Yes, I mentioned that in OP for that reason only. I am sure that my mind is getting used with the smoothness and it demands more, much more
Just got to give the devs time. Perfection takes time.
I personally moved away from Samsung a while back. Last sammy device i had was the Note 4.
I still have an S3 mini which in all reality is a "piece of garbage"but all i use it for is a glorified MP3 player while im out doing work and i dont wish to possibly destroy my PixelXL or whatever im using.
But back on track. Samsungs devices least back in the day were very well built! And aside from Touchwiz not to terrible!
But this Pixel XL blows me away. I came to this device from a Nexus 6 which I absolutely loved! The Pixel XL has surprised me since day 1! Im currently running Pure Nexus on it. Its the initial build as the second build wasnt important enough for me to update. Dont mind that i cant shut down. (LOL)
I reboot my device a couple times a week as a pure habit. I feel a fresh start every so often is never a bad thing.
One thing to possibly try if an app becomes sluggish is clear the apps cache while you see it being a bit of a jerk.
If that doesnt help. Clear the system cache in recovery and see if that helps. Your first boot might take a bit longer but you could see a difference.
My suggestion to you is. Try out Pure Nexus. Or any custom rom for that matter! There are several now. We have 2 boot slots to use on this device which is fantastic! If you dont like a certain rom? Try another! Or.... go back to your stock slot! Just read up and educate yourself on how the boot slots work and what happens during flashing. Its not like our old school Safe Strap from back in the day! (Or multiROM for that matter) Well kinda.... but works differently.
Enjoy Pixelers!

I'm venting here because I'm searching for a way to fix my brand new beautiful Mustang - you see, one tire is constantly losing pressure and the trunk just straight up doesn't close.
In other words, I'm extremely frustrated with my brand new $930 device. And the fact that Google just released a 50MB security update and still didn't fix a crippling BT bug introduced in 7.1.1 doesn't help the issue.

If I remember correctly from Mario's front page article on the OP3T, F2FS can be enabled through TWRP. I recall tidy one reason it's not enabled by default on most devices is some remaining bugs/issues to sort out.

Took me a while to find it but Jerry Hildenbrand had some interesting thoughts on bluetooth issues with Nougat and how they're potentially related to bluetooth stack and certain hardware that people are trying to pair their Android N phones to. Look for his posts in this thread:
http://forums.androidcentral.com/google-pixel-pixel-xl/755478-there-speaker-issue.html
I don't know whether he's on the mark here or not. . All I do know is that I have no issues with connectivity with my car, Fossil Q Marshal or JBL Charge 2+ . . all relatively new devices . . so i do wonder how some are experiencing issues while others like myself are not.
-----
Back on topic - IMO loss in smoothness always boils down to resources as users settle into devices and continue to add software and tweaks to their devices. The more we use the device and add to it, the more apps start to battle for resources either in terms of running services or cached ones. The variation in now we each use our devices leads to variation in experiences as the OS deals with balancing available resources against the services and apps that need to be running vs cached.

Jerry Hildenbrand? That weird beard mofo? How can he possibly fix a bt bug that was introduced in a recent Google update?
First just don't feed the trolls.
I would definitely recommend a custom rom.
The one that said customs are the same than stock just flashed the wrong roms.
Pure is much smoother and snappier than stock.
And there are roms that feels like night and day if it comes to smoothness.
So just try them out and you will see and feel the difference.

What is your next phone?

Very frustrated with the all-too-frequent need to go into Android Auto and reset everything just to get mapping to work, and not having the phone dialer integration working, and so on... Not to mention this monitoring program running in the background that nobody seems to know for sure what it is doing, what it is sending and to where it might be sending things....
So, after initially being happy with the phone, it has turned sour, and I'm looking to move to something lese, but not ready to pay a small fortune for it. What are you all considering for your next phone purchase? Probably not Huawei/Honor....
I loved the 6X, but my relationship with the 7X was sour out of the box. Maybe I was being too harsh but it really should have launched with oreo and came with USB type C. Aside from a hardware issue I had with my particular device, all the issues I had with the software have supposedly been fixed with the oreo beta. So I ordered it again and will have to definitely give it another shot because I did like the phone, it's hard to beat especially for $200. I know a lot of others will say the MI A1 is better, but not having a US based service center sucks. And I couldn't wait for Motorola to announce the G6 series. After my tenure with the 7X though, I plan to spend a little more and see what else Honor/Huawei has to offer. As long as they continue to sell the devices in the US on Amazon. With Best Buy dropping Huawei, who knows if they'll continue to make phones for the US market.
The Good..The Bad..The Ugly
Quite The Polarizing Device.. This 7x..
It looks so cool..
It was thought to be the "Next Big Thing" here at XDA.
But.. It never panned out that way.
It's compelled it's owners to throw caution to the wind.. root and brick there devices like there's no tomorrow..
with no clear cut way to recover it.
Quality Control is not the best.. either you get one that works perfectly (yeay! I did) or you get one with dimming
issues.. lagging issues.. touch registration issues.. heat issues etc.
But.. for a Stock device that had none of the issues mentioned, it's without question.. the best $199.00 your cellular
dollar can buy.
That is.. IF YOU DON'T MIND BEING MONITORED BY PARENT COMPANY HUAWEI.. (see pic)
Glad I Don't Bank On My Device.
The International Samsung Galaxy S10 will be my next device April of 2019
Until then my completely stock perfectly working Honor 7x will do just fine.
I'm brand new (just a few days) to the Mate SE. Love the phone... so far (will be checking for monitor app running soon). But would Huawei be that stupid? to be under suspicion by the authorities, and then have a snooping app obviously running and call it 'monitor'?
Possible I guess, but wow, hard to imagine. Was disappointed to read today that BB will no longer be carrying Huawei phones. I'm hoping to get the M5 tablet, maybe Amazon or last resort their usa website.
They sell phones all around the world, they are very popular. Is there ** any ** factual evidence of nefarious behavior?
Returned mine. Imonitor spyware ran continuously.
Also their support app requires access to your contacts and phone.
Don't think so Huawei.
First time experience with honor it's not so good as I'm expected. My next mob will be form one plus... ?

Weighing in with my opinion of this device after almost a month of use...
I absolutely have no problem with it, honestly.
Do I have a bit of a buyer remorse? Somehow, after I bought the phone the note 5 pro was announced, the chipset in it definitely make me jealous. It doesn't help also there is currently some crazy development with the device from the get go.
But honestly, with the horrible availability of xiaomi devices, why should I bother really? The 5 pro probably will never make it to Egypt or an Arab country (I bought the honor from Saudi Arabia), we only have redmi 5 plus and the 64 giga version had a flash sale for an hour and then disappeared without a trace, **** this kind of crap really I'd rather pay a little more and not play any kind of one plus old days crappy games, life is too short.
Back to the honor, I picked it over the redmi 5 plus for 2 reasons other than the availability too, the fact that it's a real metal unibody not half and half and I'd take emui over miui any time of the day (just look at the horrendous bastardization of the recents screen), emui with a theme and a new launcher is almost stock to me, I'm not honestly bothered by anything in the software (I actually like the aggressive battery settings) except for the clear of notifications after unlocking, which is kinda really stupid.
Having project treble almost guaranteed also was a buying reason, it was obvious that honor was committed to bring treble to all their updated devices, I didn't know what is going to happen with xiaomi (back then nobody has seen community treble porting yet), it doesn't help also that the 625 is getting older and older (support wise this means it will get easier to be left in the dust)
I had no issues with the touch, it just seems that Huawei has some kind of different scrolling behavior, the battery has been nice, not legendary, just Nice, the performance has been fantastic so far, honestly I never feel like I'm performing something faster than the device can catch up except in the horrific camera app, which is definitely a software issue that I hope will be fixed in oreo. (That app is a pain to use). Captured photos are nice, a bit on the colder side but manual mode works well for me.
The biggest issue people witness with the phone is the potatoish gpu, I'm not that bothered because the games I have thrown at it worked well (if the slower ones were playable), emulation worked really well especially as I completed prince of persia rival swords completely on the phone, I couldn't ask for more.
If anybody reading this, looking to buy a new phone and has no access to the note 5 pro honestly get the honor 7x, there is currently no better choice I can think of, everybody is praising the Nokia 7 plus as the new budget King and it's almost ****ing 350 euro, I think people's view on what budget means became skewed with how we have 1000 USD phones in the market, 350 USD to 500 USD are NOT budget phones for God sake.
What I would wish for my next phone? Better gpu just for the sake for more future proofing (I plan to stick with a phone for 4 years) and USB C, everything else currently technology wise is not a big deal and nothing in flagships currently is making me jealous, the honor looks fantastically modern (I was a Moto g fanboy but man these leaks of Moto g6 look incredibly ugly with the 18:9 ratio plus a chin, the **** Motorola?). Last thing would be an AMOLED screen, these beautiful true deep blacks must come to budget devices one day.
My 2 cents.

General Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 faulty

I got my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 on 20th August and less than 2 weeks later the phone is faulty and I have to sent it back. The problem is when I open the big screen as far as it goes it switches the phone off completely and I have to go to the small screen and press the power on button to swich it on. If I half open the big screen it still works.

A mates fold was shipped without download mode - really odd fault
Meh, the fail is strong with Samsung this year.
At least hold off a bit if you want this phone; let others take the ride before you decide.
Latter production runs might also have issues fixed by then.

Maybe not. Samsung's been imploding across the board this year. With their apps and multiple device hardware failures. No joke. Multiple threads on XDA of issues and phone returns.
Just had a Wearables update puke all over me last night. It has defied a solution so far and the Buds+ only work right on phone calls.
Never saw that before.

If you really want it, then do the warranty exchange and get a new one. No product line is 100% perfect. There will always be defective units. But that doesn't mean every single device will fail within two weeks. That's the most asinine thing I've heard all day.

The best possible failure scenario is that a device does it within its return window.
So the OP was lucky in that respect.
I be pi$$ed too for all that trouble.
Meh... once bitten, twice shy.
If you preordered, Samsung included Care+ for 1 year for free. Not sure if this is offered outside of the US. It's really a great device kind of a game changer for me.

Samsung isn't imploding. Realize that they sell tens of millions of devices and a small minority of people who purchase their products are here complaining about things on XDA. There is no widespread news coverage of Samsung making faulty devices, well, not since the Note 7. Your post is an exaggeration.

Time will tell
Just order my second new 10+.
I don't share your optimism or wuv of storage deficient devices.
My first 10+ still looks, runs like it's new, fast, stable and fulfilling it's mission with 1tb of storage, soon to be expanded to 1.5tb.
I rejected the Note 20U because of poorer run time, Adroid 10, poorer color rendering and unreasonable price. Not enough bang for the buck.
So imagine what I think about every release from Samsung since then... and I'm not near as kind as you.
2021 is already a dead year for Sammy

That's a good choice... Look for golden reviewer on YouTube and you'll see that this phone while it has Snapdragon 888 performs even worse than 855/865 phones lmao.
It throttles so hard that on games that other phones run at 90fps+ it scores 30 FPS sustained with dips below 10 FPS lmao ( pubg and genshin )
It's a shet performer, buy yourself a better device

There's literally a setting to make it run at max capability. From factory it doesn't run at max. You just flip the setting and it will run at max. They did it to preserve battery. Because realistically only games will utilize the entire power of an 888.
Phone cpus are progressing faster than use case. Oneplus just got in a debacle about this, mainly because they did it without giving you the ability to stop the throttling.
