Great job. GPS works ok. Same as Nougat at least for me.

Your 4.6 rom is the only reason I still use my vs980 phone. In fact I am afraid to use any other device because it just continues to work with no frills. I try other roms, and they slow with age, have poor battery life, or just plain have issues. Not with AEX. Thank you very much for the continued support of the G2 and the work that you do!

just installed this over stock... i have used AEX 4.6 before stock as well...
device is d802 (16gb) - open gapps pico (8.1) - carrier Tele2 Croatia...
here are my observations so far:
- having problems with freezing apps in Titanium Backup (they can't freeze eventhough Titanium reports a toast message like they were frozen)
- uninstalling apps with Titanium works, but it somehow leaves some blank data in the device (don't know how else to explain that)
- mobile signal jumps up and down (i had this "issue" on older AEX as well)
- charging jumps from slow (400-500mAH) to quick (1500-1600mAh) (using 2.1/3.1 amp charger)
- external usb/otg stick works for a while then it disconnects itself (icon is no longer shown in the status bar and usb/otg stick isn't recognized in file manager)
- didn't test the camera, sound and calls yet (but i assume the camera is the same quality as on the older AEX roms > meaning worse than stock, but that's usual for non-stock roms newer than lollipop)
the rom feels fluid as hell (in a positive way of course ) - but that was expected from AEX & YoDevil work...

good :good: but i don't care about bluetooth
one additional thing i've noticed while playing a game (NFS No Limits) - the game runs perfectly smooth (well, at least smooth enough for a 4 year old device), but the sound has a small delay (it's not a big issue, but that wasn't happening on stock rom as i recall)
btw i went to bed with some 68% battery - woke up today, 8 hrs after with 61% - not bad at all...

issues like what?
i have only the clock and alarm on the lockscreen and it works ok... i have also removed all the quick access icons from it...
btw another thing - the camera:
- camera menu doesn't work well in landscape mode (slow menu scrolling, specific items can't be selected - it selects an item much above the wanted one)
i know this is not the exact place to ask and i know we miss the proper LG camera libs/drivers from Lollipop above - but can't the camera image quality be a bit better at least on this AOSP/AOKP roms?
images seem like they're overcompressed and blurry somehow, eventhough you select the high quality in camera settings... exposure and contrast seem ok, but what kills the image is that overcompression (or what not)

Issues in setting a lock pattern (pin, password, or whatever) or unlocking.
There is still some work to do on Camera, but i don't think we'll be able to improve picture quality.

i can't report about those lockscreen issues because i use only simple slide to unlock...
i know we can't improve the camera much - it was just a general "rant"

I just notice that there is a problem with unlocking if you have expanded desktop activated.
With expanded desktop there is problem with waking up device from deep sleep. You need to spam unlock button to turn screen on.
Maybe someone test that too and confirm.

No issues here, using Pin code and face unlock.

Does anybody know if one handed mode is enabled in this rom? also, I know switching between lte and 3g doesn't work but does 3g work well?

I left my phone idle with a USB stick connected for 1+ hour, couldn't experience this.
Were you reading/writing off of it when it disconnected?

A. If you use a MicroSD in exfat, that can be the cause. The exfat drivers are for some reason really picky when it comes to that. Change to ext4 or NTFS or so.

Made from the same device tree and so on like los and the others :/
if i figure out why yours wont work, and i manage to fix it, all will work. But cant guarantee for anything now :/
Trying my best, have logs already, but stress in university + wanna fix other small bugs too (e.g vibration ****ing up after a while, maybe fmradio and so on)
Tbh, more devs for the other models would be nice ?

Clean install coming from us998 8.0 oreo rom - twrp 3.2.1 + pico gapps + magisk 16.4.
So far I am only able to flash "stock" h930 and us998 lg based roms. Not sure if that helps.

I'm currently using a vs996 and there is a slight bug, not sure how or why it happens, but whenever I have vibration on touch for both nav bar and keyboard, (or vibration on press in general) after a while it transfers some of the vibration to the phones call speaker, and makes a static sound every key press. NOTE: the vibration strength is very week now as well. I'll try to get a logcat of it.

yes it's a well known bug of aosp and los based rom for v30.
it's seems to be related to lg vibrator implmentation. Dev still trying to fix it, but there's no trace in logs

:good: Running this on VS996, correctly converted, def a daily driver for me!! Bluetooth connects nice, however, I seem to be unable to change tracks, or play/pause controls from remote device?? Need more aosp based rom after sony xzp stop pushing update

This is a dual sim(g8142) rom now, my phone(g8141) cannot recognized the sim card, but I think it is easy to fix it.
No support to 4K nor higher Hz, no hires audio, if you like these thing, don't flash it.
Color controller from AEX, not stock, but useful.
It has three camera app, aosp camera,sony camera and los camera, but .....emmm you know, google camera has the best HDR.
Based on AOSP, without any extra, useless transplant components, nice rom

Well, it looks like I didn't wipe the data ,but I have done and try this there times and it's still doesn't work.

If you are not the official member of AEX team. add "Unofficial" in the title please. If you are the official member of AEX team, I think you'd better set selinux at enforcing instead of permissive.

I have WiFi and hotspot problems too
WiFi seems not working very well and hotspot just keep showing error

and safetynet did not pass cts profile (not using any digital wallet thing so I'm ok with it and i guess... it's my problem?)

I tried building one using Sjll's trees (adjusted for AEX) and I'm getting these errors during compilation phase.
Is there anything else I need to do for a successful build?
This is just the beginning of the compilation and I'm not sure if there would be any other errors that needs to be resolved...
(PS: Before this error, I also encountered one regarding duplicate libjson which I resolved by removing external/json-c from the manifest.)

EDIT: It seems something's broken as I found this (unanswered at the time of the edit).
EDIT 2: It seems this commit might be related as it referenced an early commit in LOS' frameworks/av which was marked "DO NOT MERGE" (thus did not enter AEX's frameworks/av). Turned out an issue has also been created for this matter... guess I need to wait (until they merge the latest security patches as well as related stuffs), or just cherry-pick that particular commit and move on.
No wonder I didn't get any answer.
EDIT 3: After cherrypicking the commit in question I'm able to complete the build. Sjll's modified hardware/qcom/audio-caf/msm8998 tree is not needed when building AEX. However, it seems I need to look after some warnings generated during the build process.
EDIT 4: It seems the resulted build also suffered from the inability to initialize SIM cards (and freeze then reboot as a result). Guess either a newer stock firmware base is needed or the warnings generated during the build process need to be taken care of.
EDIT 5: Not sure if kernel matters... it took way too long to get the SIM card back working. Not sure how, but I suspect enabling airplane mode right after first boot and let other components finish initializing first might help...

->The updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuff is merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend a clean flash.

->Google killed Substratum support in Pie. You can use it, however, you need to be rooted. We don't support rootless Substratum.
-Which Gapps are recommended?
->OpenGapps and BitGappps
-Will this ROM relock the bootloader?
->No.
-What about XPOSED?
->XPOSED is still in the beta stage. We like Xposed but it messes up with the system so before giving any bug reports make sure you have Xposed uninstalled.

->No ETAs, please. ROM Will be updated whenever the new build is ready by your maintainer. We generally provide monthly updates with the latest security patches and new features.

good, you have already tried to install this rom but when installing the gapps it only stays more than 20 min on the aex screen and from there it does not happen, try in many ways and with different gapps, if I install it without gapps it runs and opens well, the problem is when I install the gapps it does not start it just stays on that screen and nothing happens, I followed the steps to the letter, try with only wipe cache and nothing, then with fastboo -w, and nothing. could you tell me how to do the installation process well

Anyone have any experience using this ROM on the G7? Ive been using Lineage 16/17 but for various reasons want to try a different OS. I've used AOSP ext but a couple years ago. I remember it being pretty stable but just wondering if there are any other bugs or feedback to share before I flash this baby! Thanks in advance! ?

Okay so I had the same possible boot-stall like a couple of other users and decided to try the build without gapps, adding the nano a64 package at the appropriate step and wa-lah! Love, love, love AOSP. Thank you SO MUCH to the team of other nerds and even smarter nerds who put all this together for the g7. Bravo!

Settings crash after Installing "Root" from Play Store
The settings crashed dialogue disappeared in my phone rebooted. I've been got a message saying Wi-Fi watchdog had captured a book report is this a known issue of compatibility? I appreciate any_advice!Checked for any app / OS updates ; all already up to date .

-Why no "Incremental/Delta updates" Support?
->The updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuff is merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend a clean flash.
-How do I root this ROM?
->We recommend Magisk
-Does this ROM Support Substratum?
->Google killed Substratum support in Pie. You can use it, however, you need to be rooted. We don't support rootless Substratum.
-Which Gapps are recommended?
->OpenGapps and BitGappps
-Will this ROM relock the bootloader?
->No.
-What about XPOSED?
->XPOSED is still in the beta stage. We like Xposed but it messes up with the system so before giving any bug reports make sure you have Xposed uninstalled.
-When Will Be the Next Update?
->No ETAs, please. ROM Will be updated whenever the new build is ready by your maintainer. We generally provide monthly updates with the latest security patches and new features.
-Adaway is not working
->Download it from here Adaway
-SElinux Linux mode changer app is not working nor Busy Box installer app is working.
->Everything is good with the sources. You should try other things first and then contact your maintainer.

if use the back camera it is very dark,
but if use the front camera, it's normal
and camera sometimes stopped working.
Are there alternative camera applications?

Mine seems Okay.

I'm facing issue while receiving calls on stock dialer, no mic and no sound. It need to be triggered first. After receiving the calls (the one with issue), the next call is normal. I tried using Whatsapp and it's no problem
