New update DUE3 AND BUE3 - Samsung Galaxy Watch

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 and the Galaxy Watch 3 have started getting a new software update with a download size of around 49MB. The latest update seems to improve the icons for auto walking, auto running, and inactive alerts as per the official changelog. The new software, which is based on Tizen OS 5.5.0.2, also improves the device stability of the two smartwatches.
The latest software update for the Galaxy Watch Active 2 bears firmware version R820XXU1DUE3, while the Galaxy Watch 3 has firmware version R840XXU1BUE3. The updates are now available for Samsung’s Galaxy smartwatches in the US, and we expect the rollout to expand to more countries in the following days.

[Q] Custom ROM & samsung apps etc help

Hi all,
I've just bought a note 2014 edition, upgrade from the Note 10.1.
I am not going to make the same mistake and leave my new tablet as stock (my note 10.1 is laggy as hell - yet its supposed to be a quad core super fast tablet with 2GB ram!). So to that end I'm going to put a custom rom on it (not my first time doing this - simple linux/windows commands I'm very comfortable with).
So my questions are:
1 - Can i install samsung apps (like samsung hub, learning etc) on the custom rom and have my tablet recognised as a samsung device so I receive updates for these apps? (I don't get these from google play store).
2 - Which is the most stable rom you guys have tried and recommend?
3 - Will the multi window still work (I want to be able to use it for all apps)
4 - How will the new rom behave with the S-Pen? It is still detected once it is removed and popup appears?
5 - I really want to ensure I keep the s-note app so would deffo want that to be kept up to date
Thanks in advance folks!
It even has 3gb of Ram!
After I bought the Note last november, I was irritated to find out that there wasn't yet a single custom rom for this relatively popular gadget. A situation which hasn't changed in the meantime. And in a couple of months the device will be EOL and the user base will start to shrink, probably faster, if there's still not a single custom rom then.

Peek not working

Samsung Galaxy SIII GT-I9300
In the latest build 4.3 Beta 6 ( full clean flash) and same up to date PA Gapps peek seams to not work. I have it enabled and I tested it with calls/sms/hangouts and it doesn't work. I can see the little red led that shows it's active and detecting but when I pick it up or test it taking it out of the pocket it just wakes up the phone showing the unlock.
You would do better to post in the Google + community page since the only official devices are Nexus, which means your issue could be device specific, or an issue with the CM base.

General XDA Article: Google wants to know your thoughts on Android 12L Beta 3

Google wants to know your thoughts on Android 12L Beta 3Even though attention is shifting to Android 13, Google is still working on the finishing touches for Android 12L. The third beta release of Android 12L arrived earlier this month, and now Google is looking for feedback as we approach a final stable version of Android 12L.
The official Google account for the Android Beta program posted on Reddit today, “We’d like your feedback on Android 12L Beta 3 that was released last week. This anonymous survey should take about 5 minutes to complete. Please only fill out this survey if your device is running Beta 3 (S2B3.220205.007.A1). You can verify this by going to Settings > About Phone.”
The survey contains questions about which Pixel device you’re using (Beta 3 is not yet available for the Lenovo Tab P12), system stability, battery life, camera performance, call quality, running apps, messaging, and other basic smartphone functionality. It also asks if you would recommend Android 12L to friends and family in its current state. If you’re having problems on Android 12L Beta 3 and haven’t reported them in the issue tracker, the survey is another opportunity to let Google know — the whole thing shouldn’t take more than five minutes or so.
Android 12L Beta 3 was released on Febuary 9, and didn’t include any significant changes compared to the second beta. It’s available for the Pixel 3a, 4, 4a, 5, 5a, and 6 series, and Beta 3 was the first time Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro owners could try out Android 12L. The update mainly fixed bugs, including ones that affected weather information in the At A Glance widget, broke the screen-off animation, and caused the system launcher to crash when entering split-screen mode.
Android 12L will likely be released for everyone sometime in the next few months, as a final build is expected before the end of Q1 2022, which is March 31.

Downgrading from Android 10 to 9 disadvantages

Hello,
I use an old for today's standards Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) with a custom Android 10 rom with arm64 and OneUI 2.5 functionalities. Unfortunately, due to 2GB of RAM (even with additional 2GB of ZRAM), it's hard to cope with problems regarding apps in background closing right after roughly 1 minute of not using them (Youtube does this a lot) and sometimes apps lagging just while using them normally. So I'm thinking of flashing a Android 9 ARM32 OneUI 1.0 ROM. (My phone never had Pie update officially, so the switch from 8 to 10 was overwhelming.) But before I do that, I want to know what will I lose if I do, so I can see if it'll be worth it. I know that Google is planning to force devs to ditch ARM32, but before they do I want to feel comfortable with my phone. For now, as I've seen the features I will lose, that are valuable to me, are purely cosmetic, such as Video Enhancer and Edge Lighting. But if there are way more of them, please let me know. Basically I'm asking for a full list of changes from 9 to 10 and OneUI from 1 to 2.5.

Forced to upgrade my version of Android

Several of the apps I regularly use will no longer install on Android 8. It looks like I have to update my version. The question is what is the most trouble-free version to switch to with the best compatibility with Moto mods etc?
Compare, contrast, discuss among yourselves.
