Hello everyone,
I have a Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite which I use as a secondary phone.
I'm experiencing a serious issue which happens randomly during the day:
all of a sudden, especially after long sleeps, the phone seems completely isolated from the mobile network making it impossible to send/receive calls, although showing data coverage.
What I noticed during one of this episodes in the #*#*4636*#*# menu is that the phone is trying to connect to the preferred network NR/LTE/TDSCDMA/GSM/WCDMA.
Switching that to GSM/WCDMA/LTE (PRL) revives the connectivity.
Any idea on how this can happen?
Thank you
I too am face the similar issues. I am running PixelExperience 12.1. I use two India SIMs with WiFi calling support.
As you mentioned, after long sleeps, the phone is not able to make calls or connect to receiving calls. Sometime, the call gets disconnected as soon as we answer and won't be able to call back. If the phone connects, the call is completely silent. Disconnecting and calling back works sometimes but most times, call doesnt go through. Putting it on flight mode and back sometimes makes it work. Sometimes restarting makes it work. Either way, its really frustrating.
I tried look at logcat output but I am not able to figure out what is going wrong because of the volume of things happening at that time.
Which is the OS version and firmware you are on? Stock MIUI? Or custom rom?

Here is a problem I've been having off and on with both my Nexus and my Note. I need to switch to my focus for a while and see if I have the issue with that, but generally when I'm at work where there are many areas where there is little to no signal and sometimes if I'm in that area for a while I'll see my phone switch to No Service. Which is fine, but sometimes too long and it'll just go to Emergency Calls Only mode. There have been many times where it seems like if I'm not in that long enough it will come back out, but for the most part it seems like it will stay in Emergency Calls Only mode until I switch airplane mode on and off. I'm using Franco nightly 180, CM9 2012-06-09 nightly(time to update that soon), and the UGLC1 modem with matching RIL obtained through GetRIL. This is an issue that drives me nuts. As I said my Note was doing this a lot too. It seemed like once I switched to one of the newer ICS modems my Note would always come back from switching into this mode. Nexus it seems to be hit or miss. Any thoughts? I don't know if it's just a sim card issue or not. Also there have been times where I'll be in Emergency Calls Only mode, but the network settings will still show a GPRS connection and the about will show that sometimes I still have the data network connected which I've been able to use.
Its now happened 4 times always in the same place and Im wondering if its an issue with the Nexus or my carrier (or a combination of both) it never happened with my old Sony Xperia SP (call still dropped on xperia but always could dial or be called).
I go through a small village and the signal drops so call ends. Phone shows signal so I try and call back and call instantly says 'call ended'. The other person cant contact me either.
3 times its worked by turning off the phone then restarting it, today I had to restart then toggle aeroplane mode a few times before I could call, all the while the phone showed signal.
Is there anyone else who has experienced this behaviour? Its only this one location ive had the issue but not being able to reestablish a call is a real pain and shouldnt be happening from what I can see.
Network is EE in the UK.
May be a little late to answer, but i have the same problem. Could you do something to solve this issue?
Hey! My wife has a t-mobile G3, stock non-rooted. It's running 6.0. She's had it for a year, and it's been fine (other than some wifi issues here and there). But in the last few weeks, she can no longer make calls.
The weird thing is the calls do "connect", but there's no sound either direction. For example, if she calls me, my phone will ring, but when I answer there is no sound either direction. Both of our phones show the call timer counting the seconds, as if they are both connected. If one of us hangs up, the other phone gets disconnected immediately---so the 2 phones are DO connect with each other, but no sound can pass. This happens with every number she calls.
I would have thought it might be a network problem, but she did a factory reset and it worked fine---until a few days later when it broke again. So I'm thinking it's software. Sometimes her phone will work for a few hours, but then it will stop working for a few days.
I've tried turning ON/OFF bluetooth, wifi, data, & wifi calling. I've tried changing to 2G network. I've tried different sound/noise settings. No change.
Any ideas?? Thanks
Having an odd series of issues that might be device-specific (Pixel 3), but definitely isn't a problem with my hardware, as that was recently replaced and had the same issue.
Basically, what I see is:
- For 1-3 days after a reboot, the phone works perfectly. Data works as intended. Calls work as intended. My office area always sits on full bars, LTE.
- After a few days, suddenly I have no ability to make calls...but I can receive them fine. If I try to call anyone, it just sits on the dialing screen for 1-5 minutes and then hangs up or dials. Inbound calls are instantaneous and there are no data issues.
- When the dialing issue occurs, if I watch the signal meter, it will be full bars LTE, then 3G, then H+, then it will either dial or will briefly say there's no signal and hang up...the moment it hangs up, it goes back to LTE and data works fine again.
- Either rebooting the phone or turning on/off airplane mode will fix the problem for 1-3 more days.
- This issue happens even if I switch over to wifi calling and am on good wifi signal, which makes it even stranger!
- I've reinstalled and updated LOS a few times since this began and issue persists. I've tried with wifi on/off, wifi calling on/off, different locations, etc. I even briefly tried the official Google dialer app, as I had been using the stock LOS one. No change.
I haven't been on here for a while and apologies if this is has already been covered I did try a search but couldn't find anything specific, I've had my 6 pro for a while now and its running (SP2A.220505.002) build I'm still having constant call issue's with this phone, I'm reaching the point where i might have to fire it back at google as I'm suspecting a Hardware issue.
Virtually every time I make a call it disconnects, yesterday during a 15min call to my missus, it disconnected 3 times. I've tried 5g default, 4g default, wifi calling on and off, nothing seems to make a difference, I've read that the update should have fixed this, but for me it hasn't, has anyone managed to sort this out if they've had the same issues ? Or is my phone dodgy, based in the UK if it makes any difference, thanks...
