"OP9 Pro Vs Vivo X60 Pro+" Pros/Cons
X60 Pro+
Pros:
1. Camera Setup and Overall Quality
Cons:
1. In compare to OP9, Missing stereo Speakers
2. Missing Wireless Charging Support
3. Missing IP68 Rating ( due to vegan leather back)
What do you think???
Is the Vivo X60 Pro+'s bootloader unlockable? If not that's a major "Con"
Also there is a very bad support for vivo on xda and that's why I bought the 9 pro.
Definitely more XDA development for the OnePlus series...

Not sure if that's a buying point for a normal user which uses phone for 3 year and switch to something else...
X60 & X60 Pro was announced yesterday in Hong Kong. CPU changed. No longer using Samsung exynos 1080 (Mainland China version) but Snapdragon 870.
However, I still prefer OnePlus.

Hi, I'm thinking about buying a new phone, which I want to buy is a good phone, with lots of development and good compatibility with Gcam, so I found the two best options. One of them is the Xiaomi MI A1, and the other is this phone (Redmi Note 5) and here come two questions.
The first one:
This store is from Colombia (I'm from Colombia) and I don't know if this is the "pro" version, but I figured it was.
http://www.losdistribuidores.com/productos/xiaomi/xiaomi-redmi-note-5-caracteristicas
The second one:
Do you recommend MI A1 or Note 5 and why?
Thank you!
First, it's probably the Pro version. There's some confusion about that because of the difference between the Chinese and Indian markets. The Indian RN5 Pro is the same as the global RN5, and the Indian RN5 is the Redmi 5 Plus Global. So if you are buying RN5 out of India, it is the global version that has the codename whyred. It's a bit confusing, but do not worry about it. You will be buying the correct version.
Second: The RN5 is better than the A1, speaking in technical terms. It has a better processor and more battery, just not sure about the cameras. (But the RN5 is very good for the price). The A1 has USB type-C and the RN5 micro USB.

Really thanks!
It's more likely the global version of the RN5[WHYRED] going by camera specs, the version with the Pro extension is only sold in India!

This is the correct info. The SOC of the RN5 is vastly improved, more than the small step in numbering suggests. You speak about A1 Antutu 75,000 vs. RN5 Antutu 118,000, the difference also can be felt in immediatly.
Further, the Redmi Note 5 primary camera lens is an f1.9, the Pro version and the A1 is a f2.2 (same sensor). People would nautrally associate the moniker Pro with an upgrade version but Xiaomi seems to have a different opinion.
There was someone on Youtube making a camera comparison in between the RN5 and the RN5 Pro. The difference in low light conditions is huge, thanks to the combination of bigger pixel size and lower f stop value. It approached in some lighting coditions the camera of the S8.

right i forgot about apperture LOL.. but yes i think AI is better at low light but pro takes better pictures.. anyways he should be getting the AI.
Thanks to all of you! I decided to buy the RN5, because it has a better processor, a good camera (I think the A1 camera is a little better, but this is still good), but especially because of the great battery.
Hi,
I want to express here why I'm thinking to purchase the new Samsung Galaxy A50 Dual SIM with 6GB of RAM, instead of similar models from Xiaomi, Nokia or Motorola:
- Nokia: Why all models from this great manufacturer insists in use the hated Hybrid Dual SIM tray? If I purchase a smartphone win dual-sim and sd-card support I want to use both at time!
- Xiaomi: Why not include SD-Card slots in the medium-high models of this manufacturer? Even the flagship Galaxy S10 has it!
- Motorola: The Moto G7+ has a high price with low specifications. Why this company continues releasing the G models targetting the low part of the medium range? I've had (and do have) the models Moto G3, G4, G5+, G6+... but I feel the A50-6GB has a similar price compared with the G7+ which it surpasses by far!
My target is the medium range with price contained and Dual SIM + SDCard (no hybrid tray).
And I believe that for the year 2019 the winner is the Galaxy A50 with 6GB of RAM (discard the 4GB).
You agree with me?
What do you think about Poco F1?

Plus with treble, we don't even need much development for it, just OFFICIAL TWRP, OFFICIAL magisk and TWRP flashable Samsung's updates for a50, and we are good to go.
Poco f1 is not a good choice in 2019, mainly due to hybrid slot.

Released.
Redmi Note 8 Pro or Realme 5 Pro. Going to buy one of these very shortly.
1. Which one would you buy and why?
2. Which one offers best support /updates?
3.Which one would offer best second hand resale value in 12 to 18 months time? Thanks in advance!
Edit - RNP8 is 6/64gb while Realme is 8/128gb. I'm in Ireland but will probably buy from amazon Spain or Germany as its cheaper.
1) well it really depends on what exactly your uses will be. But the RN8Pro has nfc support, slightly bigger battery, higher camera megapixels both front and rear, they both have fingerprint sensor, RN8Pro comes with Gorilla Glass v5 vs the v3 realme comes with, but the Realme comes with a slightly higher display pixel density. I personally have never had a realme, but I used to have a RN3Pro and now have an RN8Pro and I am very satisfied.
2) again I've never had a realme so I cannot comment on the support/update aspect. The Realme does come with a snapdragon chipset so if you were ever unsatisfied with the stock rom you would have plenty of custom rom options. That being said if you are also looking into custom rom I have been told from the founder of posp that they will soon release an build for the RN8Pro being the first and only custom rom for the device.
3) both of these devices have a very low price. a year from now, and used would cost very little. So neither would get a high return if sold 12 to 18 months from now.
But overall in my opinion I would go for the RN8Pro.
Regards
A few of the Chinese resellers have this listed already around the £650-700 mark which seems like good value for the spec. I bought a Find X2 Pro recently in the same way and got on well with it but ended up sticking with the P40 Pro I had as I thought it was slightly too big. The X50 Pro+ seems to have the same dimensions almost as P40 Pro. Really like the look of the 'leather' version.
Anyone else thinking of getting it?
I am also thinking of getting it, or a find x2 pro myself. I had a mate 30 pro 5g which was really nice and despite lack of Google it worked well for 90% of my normal apps. As much as I dislike funtouch os,at least iets you autostart more apps which makes using the phone in the US easier vs oppo which I think still limits to 5 apps autostart.
Looks like the Vivo IQOO 5 and 5 Pro are better options, for me at least. Both variants support B28 and B20 (unlike the Vivo X50 Pro+) and that's important to people in Europe. Both have the Samsung GN1 sensor just like the X50 Pro+. And it's weird but the non-pro IQOO 5 has a bigger battery - 4500mAh vs 4000mAh of the 5 Pro and 4350mAh of the X50 Pro +.
Prices:
(From Giztop dot com)
Vivo X50 Pro+ $839.00/€713.15
Vivo IQOO 5 Pro $859.00/€730.15
Vivo IQOO 5 $689.00/€585.65
Hi, I want to update my 6T.
I don't know which one is better, OP 9Pro or S21 Ultra?
What do yo guys think?
Why I like OP 9 Pro?
- Snapdragon 888
- Thinner
- It comes with super charger
- Lighter
Why I like Samsung S21 Ultra?
- Cheaper (Exynos versión $877 12gb - 256Gb) divided at 9 monthly fees without interest.
- Better camera
Which one will you buy if they were at the same price?
Do you know if Samsung launch faster updates than OP or is it the opposite?
Thanks and sorry for my english
I had both in my cart and chose 9pro. I paid 800 usf for it. The s21 ultra is 1200 usd. The 9 pro has the same processor and everyone talked crap about the camera, but I think it's pretty good. They have same 5g processor. Samsung has micro sd slot which I got away from years ago. Samsungs touchwiz is something I don't care for after having 2 phones a s7edge and a note 10 very laggy(uses a lot of resources). If you want the best camera on a phone buy a nokia or Google phone.
I have also owned a 6t and 7tpro mclaren version phones.
At the current prices, I'd take the S21 Ultra. Having used both Samsung and OnePlus phones, I think Samsung provides a more polished product. I'm not saying that the OnePlus 9 Pro is a bad phone, but it doesn't seem like a good value compared to the competition at the moment. Heck, a brand new OnePlus 8 Pro is $599 through OnePlus right now and has virtually all the same qualities. The reports of overheating and unstable software don't help the 9 Pro either. If it gets a discounted price in the coming months, then it may be a more compelling option.
I'd probably take the Ultra. It's a better device all around, but to me it's a bit TOO big. Updates will be faster with the Ultra, Samsung has consistently been putting out monthly updates since the S10. The device will also be supported longer, if you keep your phones for a few years.
OP 9 pro. In my country Samsung sells s21 ultra with exynos processors So no thanks.. If it would have snapdragon I would've choosen s21 ultra
The main complaint about the Exynos is that it gets hotter. Well, the OP9 Pro overheats anyways, so there's no real difference. Oh, and people complain about the Exynos being 0.0xxx% slower, like they could actually feel the difference.

Yeah I hear the exynos is just about as good as this year's 888 and it's almost impossible to tell the difference.

I haven't had any problems with overheating of the OnePlus 9 pro yet. In what situations should this happen?
Both the Exynos and SD888 run hot and throttle. Here is a pretty good breakdown and comparison of the 2 chips: https://www.anandtech.com/show/16463/snapdragon-888-vs-exynos-2100-galaxy-s21-ultra
More worrisome for the Exynos is its weird clock behaviour, with the new chip really struggling in maintaining its peak frequencies other than for very brief moments – the Snapdragon 888’s X1 core had no such issues. My Exynos S21 Ultra chip bin was quite terrible here, but the better silicon on my second S21 doesn’t improve things too much either.

Basically, the Exynos can run as well as the SD888 in terms of peak performance, but that's partially because Samsung is running it overclocked and it gets HOT. Yes, the SD888 gets hot and throttles, but the Exynos gets hotter sooner, drains battery, and the GPU just sucks (and equally power hungry).
Thanks to everybody for your help. I've decided by S21 Ultra because of the price. Here un Argentina i can get it for less money.
I'm a Oneplus follower but this time, my wallet choose.
As a person that has owned an S21 Ultra since it was launched in the USA, I would choose the OP 9 Pro. I have just ordered one through tmobile and can't wait!
Personally, the S21 Ultra was primarily used for youtube vanced, browsing, and as a business cell. I highly value the software and prefer OP's Oxygen OS over OneUI, hence why I'm replacing the S21 Ultra.
Both phones are great and you can't go wrong with either, but software matters the most to me and I didn't think I'd miss OOS as much as I have.
I know OP already made the decision.
Here in the US the OnePlus is cheaper.
I found a mint 9 Pro for $900 with the original receipt and unused buds.
The S21 ultra is about $1000. But can't be rooted unless I spend $150 for a bootloader unlock. That makes it more than $1300 because I have to pay tax on the phone.
Too rich for my blood.
Samsung with Exynox, NO !
Samsung full of Bloatware! Bleah! Oxygen is one of the cleanest Android OS.
I saw many reviews about camera with S21ultra & OnePlu 9 pro. S21 is better, but not by a lot.
I prefer the the OnePlus here in the usa and the Global 7pro, 8pro, 9pro have worked out well for me with T-Mobile!
Actually I prefer the camera of the OP9 Pro over the Mi11 Ultra and the S21 Ultra. The other two might be better for you if you need 10x Zoom very often.
OS and updates? Samsung has quick updates as well, but Oxygen OS from OnePlus is just so clean and close to stock imo. Xiaomis MIUI is pretty good as well - though I had so many bugs on my mi10 pro which haven't been fixed. And they don't update that often or the OTA doesn't work that well - I was on October 2020's android security version until April 2021.
Charging and battery: OnePlus and Xiaomi charge much faster than Samsung. Battery life is probably really close between those 3.
Rooting the Samsung will break Knox with all it's downsides. A lot depends on your preferences but I would go with the OnePlus.

Depends. Are you an Android lover or a nonce. ?
In my country
S21U no warranty imported Snap888 (256GB not 128GB) = 1,014 USD
S21U retail 1yr warranty Exynos = 826 USD
OP9P no warranty imported RAM8/256GB = 839 USD
OP9P retail soon (nearly into the market)

9 pro over exynos s21U. Coz exynos sux, oneui is another meh. software is pretty meh on samsung after android 11. If you getting sd s21U then maibe. If you more concerned on the camera than anything else then go for samsung
Don't Leave out the charging speed.
50w wireless.., not many phones does that with cable plug in.
65w cable charging, is even faster. Awesome.
