Hello all,
I got a S20 ultra SM-G988U1. It is from Samsung so no carrier bloatware. I want to de-google the phone, so i installed adb and removed various packages including Knox. Now, when I click on settings, I see an error - :setting keeps stopping
I surely might have deleted some core packages - can someone advise if I can get settings pkg from Samsung or AOSP ? or do I have to factory reset ? The phone works, just the settings does not bring up anything. I removed Samsung launcher and have installed Lawnchair, but settings was working till I deleted some packages.
I have restarted the phone, did not help
restarted in safe mode, did not help

I rooted this tablet using the Kingroot method. Removed all the tmobile bloatware from it to try to speed it up.
The tablet started to get errors and when i click on settings a message shows up that settings has stopped.
I did a hard factory reset to the tablet and now it is not usable when it turns on it keeps getting the popup that settings has stopped and cannot bypass this.
Does anyone know how i can flash a full stock image on this tablet?, or is they a way i can bypass the settings has stopped error, i guess for the first run settings need to run before you can get to Home
if i can bypass the setup i should be able to use the tablet.
Thank you.

Seems you're SOL until LG comes up with an update file.
I only froze bloat with TiBu. Wont remove anything until we get a recovery or ROM.
Put your IMEI on the end of this URL. http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=
PM me if it says you have a file available
If/when that happens I'd be happy to assist you with reflashing the device with the stock rom
Hii
I'm using P601 kitkat stock firmware
Yesterday I activated my samsung account on the device and since then it keeps downloading stuff like launchers and apps, sometimes without even my acceptance
I tried to remove my account but it says I have to reset my device to factory reset.. Which I'm not willing to do
Is there any way to stop this?
So I rooted my Samsung Galaxy tab 3 8.0 (TM310) and started deleting bloatware. I restarted the device after deleting a couple of bloatware and think I deleted a necessary Google app. I kept getting a popup saying "android device manager has stopped working" so I think I deleted that. Being stupid I never actually created a backup (learnt my lesson) and thought if I factory reset the device, I'll have the original apps back; this did not work and created a problem. Now when I try to setup the the tablet, the google part comes up after setting up WiFi and it asks you for your first and last name to personalise the tablet. Considering I deleted an app, it just says android device manager has stopped working and just restarts the part where I have to enter my name. Essentially I can't setup or use this tablet without the app so is there a way to actually get it back? I'm willing to try anything as there is no loss. Tablet is useless otherwise. Thanks for your time!
Install a custom ROM?

Thanks. I tried before and 2 more times after you responded with one method but seems as if it was not working so tried an alternative method and that worked.
You could have tried flashing gapps
Before i root my sm t116nu tab 3v with the 360 root
Before i root my sm t116nu using 360 root and had a problem i think over use the apps, then after that my device cannot power on always see samsung logo , and i go too repair shop then says that we should reprogramm your phone but i didn't say my device is rooted, after reprogramming my phone back , when i reboot my phone using volume up + power button + menu button its an error connot reboot i think,, then 360r00t not running my phone is not rooted, sorry of my english sentence but i understand english, please help god bless xda
Go to ( http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-T310 ) and download a rom for your region , you can flash them with odin . And this ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2789510 ) might help you too . P.S idk how to hyperlink .

Same issue here, just bought a new LG g4, came in sealed box with android 6.0. I can't set a lock screen, go into security's or delete apps with out crashing. The phone is empty, no user data yet. I can not even finish setting up phone. I've tried soft and hard resets, also safe mode none of which make any difference. Frustrating
Did you setup encryption on your device
Hi there. I'm new to Xiaomi/MIUI and would appreciate any help with the following issues.
Mi 10T – Global Stable 12.0.8 – stock launcher – MIUI optimization ON – de-bloated with ADB
I can't see how much storage space is being taken up by each installed app/package. They all show a "0" value.
I can't find Running Services under Developer Options.
I can't permanently disable usage access for System Launcher. It re-enables itself once I exit the settings menu.
App icons aren't updating. For example, Gmail, Maps, Photos and FB Messenger still display their old icons, despite me using the latest versions of those apps.
Google Play still displays the older menu style, despite me using the latest version of that app.
System Apps Updater doesn't detect OTA updates, despite several newer versions of MIUI 12 system apps existing on APK Mirror. This issue presented itself before I began de-bloating.
Updater doesn't detect OTA updates. I had to sideload 12.0.8 in order to update from the phone's original OS version (12.0.7). This issue presented itself before I began de-bloating.
Full disclosure: I'd rather not turn off MIUI optimization to see if that resolves any of these issues, as I'm not keen on resetting permissions (again).
Edit:
When I uninstall an app via the app drawer, a gap is left in its place. The icon of the uninstalled app is still there, it just turns invisible. I can uninstall it over and over, but it doesn't go away until I reboot the phone.
There doesn't appear to be a way to turn off the phone's equalizer. I can't use Blackplayer's equalizer until I do so. I don't know if the same applies to other music players.
Edit:
There doesn't appear to be a way to add emergency contacts or access them via the lockscreen emergency dialer. Emergency information (com.android.emergency) exists within the list of installed apps.
I'm on Global 12.0.7, unlocked, rooted and debloated. Stock recovery. What did you exactly do to update to 12.0.8? I do not want to wipe and I'm a little confused with the procedure...

I downloaded it from here, went to About Phone in Settings, clicked on the OS version number in the top left, clicked on the 3-dot menu in the top right and installed it via Mi File Manager.
AFAIK, you can only use Mi File Manager to install the update via this method. If you've disabled or uninstalled it, nothing will happen when you click that menu option – even if you've installed another file manager.

I just tried this. It reboots and starts updating... but goes from 0.X% to 100% in two seconds, then it boots and it's still 12.0.7

That sucks. It worked just fine for me. Don't know what else to suggest.

Finally I booted into TWRP and flashed 12.0.9 from there, no issues.
