Nice sharing! Could be helpfull for many users
Thanks for sharing, it worked perfectly for me.
I think is not necessary open the phone... Using miflash with normal usb c cable is more simply and safe. The procedure is: install miflash, install xiaomi ad QUALCOMM driver. Connect phone in edl mode via usb. Now a new vom port will be installed. Refresh button in miflash. Flash the edl rom. Thats all. Open the smartphone not rewuired

Thanks, man. It worked perfectly for my.
Guys,
I just find out that the procedure in the video is not necessary. You don't need to open your phone. The command "fastboot oem edl" (in fastboot mode) or "adb reboot edl" (in adb mode) put your device in edl mode.
So, you just need use one of this commands, and then flash the file service rom.rar from video (or any other ROM you wanted).

If the phone is totally dead and hard bricked like in my case it will be impossible to boot it in fastboot mode, the only way is the EDL mode and to go in EDL you have just two ways: open the phone or buy an EDL cable.

I unlocked eh bootloader , installed twrp then after flashing magisk ,I got a bootloop.
Afterwards i tried to flash the stock rom ,but I got the mismatching device and rom error, so decided to install a custom rom .
After I installed pixel experience P and THE SYSTEM IS DESTROYED.
So I went back to the stock rom and edited the Flash_all.bat file removing everything but the flash commands.
now I have bricked phone and I can't enter EDL mode . when I plugg it in Usb I get HS-USB Diagnostics 900E.
Any suggestion is welcome
Can you enter fastboot unlock the bootloader and then reboot to edl via fastboot?

Just go to fastboot mode and type: "fastboot oem edl"
If you can´t enter fastboot, you have to open your phone and connect the testpoints, then connect cable to pc and releas the test-points
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhsRv42rsqI - here for the redmi 6 pro (same hw as mi a2 lite) - in min 2, the test points are shown!

1- install mi flash tool and Qualcomm driver on your Pc
2- open the phone (just remove the battery connector )
3-plug a USB cable in the device
4- short the jtag pins(you can find their location in this page www mobilerdx com/2018/09/xiaomi-redmi-6-pro-test-point-boot-into-edl-9008-mode.html
7-plug the USB cable in the Pc while shortening the pins
If you do these steps mi flash tool should reconize your device and you will be able to flash it
Evening guys, let's fix the Bootloop of our RMN8Pro if we have installed a menu Recovery TWRP faulty/unsuitable or we have installed a ROM that does not belong to our smartphone.
This method is valid for China to global or Global to global.
NOT FOR INDIAN (sorry about that)
You'll need:
ADB files
Fastboot ROM V10.4.5.0.PGGEUXM
Download both files and unzip them in C:/ADB (if you don't have that folder... just create it)
You will need to rename the file extension of the file <<begonia_eea_global_images_V10.4.5.0.PGGEUXM_20191007.0000.0000_9.0_eea_f796762f8a.tgz>> from .tgz to .rar
Let's go!!
Turn the phone off, turn it on in fastboot mode (by pressing both POWER and VOL- ) and connect the phone to the PC with its USB cable.
Open a CMD command console (in administrator mode) in C:/ADB and type this (press enter when finished typing):
Code:
fastboot devices
If you have the drivers installed and everything goes well, a series of alphanumeric characters will appear, such as for example:
Code:
a6ghfxfv6 fastboot
Perfect, we can go on.
Next we will flash one by one the files needed to revive the phone.
Write the following lines and press enter at the end of each of them (wait for the files to be installed between line and line):
Code:
fastboot boot boot.img
fastboot flash system.img
fastboot flash vendor.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
When you're done, restart the phone with:
Code:
fastboot reboot
Congratulations, you have your RMN8Pro fixed.

What do you mean by Authorized Xiaomi's Account?? As far as I know, there're 2 types of Mi accounts we commonly talk here.
1. Normal Mi account: used to unlock BL and this can be used in miflash to flash rom, I've tried 100 times in fastboot, and works every time. I registered this account I guess 5 years ago when I need to request unlock BL on note 3 . As I said above, it needs 2 mins to register.
2. Authorised service account: This is not we can easy to register, It's for Mi service center or developers for repair/develop purposes. If no rec, no recovery, blank screen, it can be recovered by SP flash tool, which will need this type of account. This is also why users in following post looking for unbricking.

At the moment you only can do a deep flashing in EDL mode, and need an authorized account... You need to contact someone with this type of account and flash... ( And give some money...)

I had this problem at the weekend(Stuck at EDL mode - tried to flash with SP tool but without success(needed service acc - brom error)), you can use SP flash tool with authorized service acc - fastest way, maybe there will be some cracked security file in the future as one for redmi 6. Or do battery trick. You are stick at EDL mode and cannot reboot from it. You can wait to discharge your phone(Tooks ~2 day with pushed power button) then connect into computer and when the led turn less bright use vol - + power to get into fastboot or disconnect battery and reconnect with pushed vol - to get into fastboot(I have used this three times because of installing wrong recovery).

Hi everyone;
I'm on MIUI11 hybridOS now, and want to get back to the stock rom.
My bootloader is unlocked (by "fastboot oem unlock" command), the drivers are installed on my PC, I'm using mi flash tool 20191206 (i think it's the latest version), i copied mi flash on drive C, and there is no space in the directory of the rom, and i run mi flash as administrator;
but when i connect my phone (in the bootloader mode) to the computer, mi flash doesn't detect it and shows the error "Length cannot be less than zero. Parameter name: length"
Even i tried EDL mode, when in fastboot mode typed "fastboot oem edl", but after that the phone turns off and led light blinks and nothing happens and PC doesn't detect the phone, then i have to restart it by holding the power button.
Could anyone help me?

The alternative way! (My solution )
Finally I found a way to flash my phone without Mi flash tool!
It's so simple,
You boot into fastboot mode and connect the phone to your PC, in the ROM folder (after extracting) there are some files in .bat format (flash_all.bat , flash_all_lock.bat , etc), you just need to double click the appropriate file to run and flash your phone! No need to Mi flash tool!
The Mi flash tool provides the drivers and then basically does what you have done (as I read Xaiomi geek)

Yea you're right, but despite i installed the drivers it gave me the error, so i installed the rom manually!
For fastboot oem edl , you need to have installed Qualcomm drivers, and if u are in miui is more safe edl mode, that is why mi flash don't flash the rom.

I want to try this and manually have found both the .bat files for Windows and .sh files of the same name for Android, but I need to know, from which location of them did you flash the phone: I have downloaded stock ROMs both on my phone SD card and on my PC, both in zip and unzipped. Even with developer mode unlocked, the update function from Settings sees only zipped versions on SD, but only tries to get file info and stops. Tapping on either bat or sh files in the phone's File Explorer opens them for reading as text files instead of executing either. In fastboot mode, the phone attached over usb to my laptop is reflected in Device Manager of Windows as Android Adb Device, if I remember correctly, but no files on it are visible in computer's File Explorer or Total Commander or MiFlash or MiPCsuite, the latter in usual work mode of the smartphone shows its internal memory folders all right, but not the SD as such in its File Explorer, though it opens the phone's media, set to be stored on the SD. The original problem is that despite storage of media and downloads on the external SD card and use of CleanMaster frequently, even after deinstallation of all external apps my Redmi says it has only up to 23 mb of disk space. I was recommended resetting to factory settings, but this function says if fails to switch off device search even after I log out of my Mi account and switch off Google device search as an administrator in Privacy settings. I then tried Recovery button in MiPCsuite,, but it did not work, requiring to back up the device on the PC , but saying backup is impossible when I press its Backup button, and Update\Flash buttons on the suite don't give any results either, as update says there are no updates, which is false. Redmi 3, if it is necessary to know, xiaomi.eu , never changed. So my question is, where from did you flash your phone? Where were the ROM\bat files? On th phone or computer?

Hello,
I'm using Redmi Note 5 pro. Recently my device went on boot loop. Whenever I tried to restart, it was showing MI Logo for long time, nothing happens. I'm not able to enter into recovery mode as well (Vol Up + Power). But I can go to Fastboot mode (Vol down + power key).
Mine is not bootloader unlocked and I dont think I have enabled OEM Unlocking from the settings.
I tried downloading the ROM from below URL (Rom for Fastboot flash) -> whyred_global_images_V11.0.3.0.PEIMIXM_20191108.0000.00_9.0_global
http://c.mi.com/in/miuidownload/detail?guide=2
http://update.miui.com/updates/v1/fullromdownload.php?d=whyred_global&b=F&r=global&n=
When I check, whether the fastboot devices is showing mine or not, I can see my device listed
In another forum, I can across this, before flashing using MiFlash, they asked to download the Edl.cmd file from the below link and run it. I did that as well.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an.../guide-how-to-reboot-to-edl-fastboot-t3394292
After that, when I select the downloaded ROM, and try to flash it with MiFlash (v2019.12.6.0), it keep showing the below line. but its not getting errored out. progress bar keeps going till the end but it stays with the below status. Attached the screenshot as well.
fastboot %* getvar product 2>&1 | findstr /r /c:"^product: *whyred" || echo Missmatching image and device
Any help with will be much helpful! Thanks in advance!
I think flashing via fastboot on unlocked bootloader is not possible
Hi, you mean locked bootloader is not possible?
If yes, is there a way to fix the phone?
Thanks in advance!

The way i see is Edl flash mode (wait for a proper answer)
I accidentally locked my chinese whyred while flashing global rom using miflash.
The only thing that worked for me was EDL flash chinese rom using QFIL following the tutorial here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5-pro/how-to/fix-arb-bricked-device-qfil-t3841780
I had to use chinese rom for 360 hours until I could unlock the bootloader again.
You need to flash the rom version that matches your device origin (global, china, india, russia, etc..)

Hello, Thanks for letting me know about this method. I tried this but I'm not able to find my devices showing in Device Manager as "qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008" (I'm trying with fastboot mode as am not able to go to Recovery mode)
I tried installing the Qualcomm QDLoader 9008 driver using the method shown in the below link
https://www.99mediasector.com/install-qualcomm-hs-usb-qdloader-9008-install/
1. tried direct installation of exe - didn't work)
2. there was manual method which asked me to reboot in edl mode using the command fastboot oem edl - but this shows error saying FAILED (remote: 'Device is already locked!')
//attached screenshot for reference
Thanks!

You're in fastboot. not EDL mode.
EDL Testpoint - https://youtu.be/dYVR5BgNwG0
Connect the usb cable to both phone and pc, disconnect the battery flex cable, short the two EDL testpoint, and connect the battery flex cable. it will take some practice.
Also, there is a limited time in EDL mode to start flashing, if you too late you will have to repeat again.
Use this tutorial https://youtu.be/ikGsxf_s-zw
It seems shorting pins and edl flashing is the only way for reviving ur phone pal
Good luck
Hello everyone.
Yesterday I bricked my Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, and today I managed to unbrick it without requiring anything special (no need for a Authorized Service Account).
I use Linux, so the scripts inside the Stock ROM end with the .sh file extension. If you're using Windows, use the .bat files.
Phone:
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro 128GB - Begonia (with NFC).
Bricked state:
Constant boot loop;
No access to bootloader;
No access to system;
Access to fastboot.
Phone requirement:
You must be able to load fastboot mode.
PC requirements:
1. You'll need adb tools (SDK Platform-Tools) to communicate with your phone. Official link is below;
2. Download and unpack the Stock ROM linked below.
Instructions:
1. You need to make sure your phone has some power in it;
2. Unpack the Stock Rom and enter its folder (begonia_global_images_V10.4.2.0.PGGMIXM_20191024.0000.00_9.0_global);
3. Put your phone into fastboot mode (Key Combo: Hold the Power button + Volume Down button until the fastboot logo appears);
4. Connect your phone to your PC;
5. Run the flash_all.* scripts according to your operating system:
5.1. Linux: "./flash_all.sh";
5.2. Windows (untested; I'm not using Windows): Run "flash_all.bat" (How to Run a BAT File on Windows);
6. Wait something between 5min to 10min. It's quite fast, and the flashing process is verbose enough.
7. Profit.
F.A.Q.:
1. How did you find this?
Well, none of the unbrick methods in the forum were working, except for the Authorised Service Account one which I didn' t test. I desperately wanted to unbrick my phone by myself, and I thought that it couldn't get worse (it could with a completely blank screen, but I got away with it).
2. Where did you get the Stock ROM from?
I can't remember. It likely was from a xda forum post but I'm unsure. If I can find the original post containing the Stock ROM I used I'll write it here.
3. Which Miui and Android version did you have prior to the brick?
MIUI Global 11.x + Android 9.
4. Which Miui and Android version does the Stock ROM you installed have?
MIUI Global 10.4.2 + Android 9.
5. Can I install any Stock ROM?
As long as it's compatible with your phone version, yes. I recommend not installing a Android 10 Stock ROM because of this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=82743011&postcount=3
6. What if can't enter fastboot mode (phone screen in dead blank)?
You won't be able to unbrick your phone using this method. It is worth trying to enter fastboot mode even though your phone has a dead screen, because fastboot might be working anyway (you'll have to test this yourself, as in trying to load fastboot with a blank screen). Read the next question.
7. How can I test if fastboot mode is working?
"adb devices" returns nothing;
"fastboot devices" returns your device (proof it works). Since "fastboot devices" finds your device, you can run the appropriate scripts.
8. What about your Mi Unlock Status before and after the brick?
Before: Unlocked.
After: Unlocked (I thought it would lock the bootloader again, but it didn't).
9. My phone is bricked and I don't know how much battery my phone has left. What should I do?
You should let it turn off due to 0% battery and charge it fully. I do not recommend you flash like I did, without knowing how much battery I had (yes, I took my chances there). As far as I know, any phone in fastboot mode does not charge its battery.
10. Why is fastboot working in your case?
I don't know. I suspect flashing the preloader and the lk from this OP Redmi Note 8 Pro - The Megathread helped, but it's just a hunch.
11. Will you attempt to flash a Custom ROM again?
After taking a break, yes.
12. Is this phone now unbrickable?
As long as fastboot mode works, perhaps. More feedback is required.
Files:
SDK Platform-Tools (adb/fastboot): https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools
Stock ROM used: http://bigota.d.miui.com/V10.4.2.0.PGGMIXM/begonia_global_images_V10.4.2.0.PGGMIXM_20191024.0000.00_9.0_global_270117fdb2.tgz
Feedback:
Due to my job I'm currently very short on time during the week to follow this thread, so it would be immensely helpful to have your feedback on this procedure.
Feedback from people who's phones are bricked with blank screens would be very appreciated, specifically if they can enter fastboot mode without any visual cues from their phones. If any bricked state allows fastboot mode, it seems this phone is easily unbrickable.
Thanks:
strongst for his understanding and in reopening this thread.

Yes, if you can access fastboot mode in your phone like I mentioned above. If hardbrick means loss of access to fastboot mode/recovery/system/basically everything, you'll need to find some other unbrick method.
If fastboot mode is working for you, you can unbrick your device by yourself with nothing else than the fastboot command and the Stock ROM. No need for any extra tools/programs.
inb4: The fastboot command is in the SDK Platform-Tools package I linked in the OP.

That's a shame.
It's worth trying different USB ports, cables etc.
I usually enter fastboot mode first and only then I connect the phone to my PC.
Then "./fastboot devices" and my phone is listed.

I can't give support in this area, but do you have the proper Windows drivers installed?
If you do and it still doesn't work, try a different computer. If you can use a Linux machine somehow it's worth trying. With Linux I didn't need to install anything besides the SDK Platform-Tools package to communicate with my phone.
I think you can unbrick your phone, because fastboot mode is loading (if it's loading it should reply to fastboot commands).

It seems the only solution for you is this (for now): [GUIDE] [begonia] UNBRICK - stuck on DA mode / Authorised Service Account required
Which you've probably read already.
I think you either do that or wait to see if another unbrick method appears.
Compass.
I have the same problem as yours and tried your solution but after i run flash_all.bat it just opens and closes in a split-second and i have no idea whether it works or not. Should I wait a couple of minutes or just try again?

That's not normal.
What you should see are various files being flashed along with their progress meter.
I'm assuming you're double clicking the .bat file. Instead of doing that, open a CMD Prompt and use that instead.
