Battery usage empty.... No usage statistics or graph - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Questions &

Hi,
This happened suddenly. I am not able to see any battery usage statistics. There is no graph. There is no list of apps showing me their usage. I have s20+ exynos model on Android 11. Is anyone facing this?

Nevermind.....i figured it out. I changed the date to 31st and then change it back to the correct one. And it started showing the stats and graph. I minor bug in Oneui 3.0 maybe.
Edit:-- its not refreshing the battery usage stats... Definitely a bug in Oneui 3.0.

I am having the exact same issue. How did you change the date to fool your phone? I know ultimately it didn't work but curious on how you did it

Never mind I figured it out. Definitely a gltich

I have the same issue. Changing back and forth the date did help to show the stats again. Will have to observe, if the stats are updating....

It updates it if you change the date but if you want the most updated stats you need to change the date. It won't auto update

Note 20 ultra exynos, S20 FE exynos - both have the same glitch. I am not the one.

Yes, definitely a bug, I also don't have stats on S20plus5G....

Same problem on my S20 plus 5G (Exynos) running Android 11

Same problem.. even clear partition cache and repair app.. also not working

As an owner of S20 FE (4G) I also report the problem. It looks like 2000 bug but in 2021

Same problem...
I am really starting to hate this phone... I never figured out how to solve standby drain (100-0% in 24hrs, galaxy store won't show updates for almost a month now, now this)

To fix the disappearing battery stats, find the samsung device health app, wipe its data and reboot

Samsung device health app.
Oh, and a reboot is also needed.
That's how I got my battery stats back.
Sorry, I should have been more precise.

I made a quick video regarding the issue. I hope it helps!
EDIT for tl;dr
1. Open Settings.
2. Go to "Apps".
3. Turn on "Show system apps".
4. Search for "Samsung Device Health Manager Service".
5. Tap on "Force Stop" and then "OK".
6. Go to "Storage".
7. Tap on "Clear data" and then "OK".
8. Fully recharge your phone to 100%.
9. Battery Usage Stats have been fixed. You may check them in "Device care"!

[URGENT] Is someone trying to track my phone?

PROBLEM SOLVED!
Hi, this is not my phone, it is my mom's phone. (Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini International)
Her battery life has been terrible, so I went to Settings > More > Battery, and found that Google Location Services is using 70 - 80% of her battery.
There was also a notification in the pull-down menu that said "Samsung has blocked an unauthorized person from accessing your phone. Press "Update Now" to update the security policy. It will use less than 500 KB of network traffic."
So I pressed "Update Now" and it instantly said that the latest updates were already installed. This Message was a UI popup, not a webpage.
What should I do?
Help will be greatly appreciated!
If you go to the settings >about phone > what is the model number of the phone, just curious.
About the location thing, go to settings >location >Google location reporting >you should be able to turn the location reporting off. As for the battery, if her phone has ever been rooted, you might look at flashing a custom rom. Sometimes a phones battery life can improve by flashing an undervolt rom, (I think that's the term) what that means is that the phone would use less battery power for the regular things that it does. Plus, rooting the phone would allow you to get rid of a lot of the "stock" bloatware that comes already installed on the phone. I hope that helps.

Android System Very High Usage & Draining Battery - Any Fix?

As above, in recent days, for no apparent reason I am getting a bad battery drain. After using GSam battery monitor & the in built battery stats, Android System is responsible for 33% battery drain!!!
Any fix or solution? I am rooted with recovery on 8.8.30 MIUI 10.
I do not wish to wipe or flash as my device is perfect in every way, only a battery drain from Android System.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Me too, always awake it never goes into deep sleep
The same thing happened to me and with the Gsam Battery I verified that I had in a short time thousands of calls to the LocationManagerService. After trying and testing I think that the time widgets that I installed (HD Widgets, Xperia Clock, ..) are due. I have taken them out and now my battery consumption is normal. Anyway, this must be a Miui bug. I spent as much with xiaomi.eu as with Revolution OS.
^ Thank you so much guys for the response, but this is so strange because it only started to happen many weeks after using the rom. It was fine as normal then suddenly this battery drain issue started.
Even tried battery hibernation apps/greenify, now difference.
Previously, I used to get 11-12 hours SOT, now only 7 max. Really disappointed...
After prolonged trial and error plus googling. I managed to finally fix my MIUI10 battery drain.
1. Under Settings>Battery & Performance, disable ALL smart scenes.
REASON: smart scene detection causes wakelocks. A MIUI10 bug.
2. Under Settings>My Device>All Specs, click Total Storage 5-6 times to get into Phone Info Testing menu. For both Phone Information1 and 2, set to your local band. Xiaomi.eu uses LTE/UMTS auto (PRL), while some users recommend LTE/WCDMA. [This setting persists until next reboot/airplane mode/network change, then you'll have to set it again. Leave default setting when roaming]
REASON: Default setting enables TD-SCDMA band scanning, which is only used exclusively in China. When disabled, will save some juice as network signal strength fluctuates.
3. Of course check Battery Use of your apps to make sure no rouge apps are keeping your phone awake in the background. Consider adjusting (a) Start in Background Permission, (b) Autostart Permission, (c) locked apps, (d) app battery saver status, and (e) toggle Developer Options>Inactive Apps

I wasn't able to find any setting called Scenes or Scenarios (saw that name used in another thread) on MIUI 10.3.2.0 global stable. When I open the Battery & Performance menu all I get is Battery Optimization, Power Usage, User Adaptive Battery, Choose Apps (for app battery saver), and Extreme Battery Saver. I also searched for them using the search function. Is this available on all MIUI versions?

In Battery & Performance, click the Settings cog icon on the top right. You would see Scenarios (new name) at the bottom of the next screen. I'm on MIUI 11.0.2 now, and its there.

There is no Settings cog in Battery & Performance. If I go further into Battery Optimization there is one but it also doesn't have a Scenarios option

The dreaded Samsung "Android System" Battery Drain

Hi all,
I seem to get this issue with pretty much every single Android Device I've owned in the last 8 years, particularly Samsung ones, and that's the good old "Android System" battery drain.
I have tried everything over the years, except rooting the device, but nothing has ever worked as a permanent fix.
I have tried:
- resetting device
- clearing cache
- restarting phone
- Shutting down background tasks
- Low battery usage location settings
- Deleting apps
- a million other things
But one way or another, Android System will eventually make its way back to the top of my battery usage stats.
I've come to the conclusion that it's the OS itself that's badly coded which causes this.
Has anyone, anyone, ever figured out a way to get on top of Android System battery drain?

I'm not sure this effects that, but while setting up phone from a factory reset etc, do you Uncheck the fields that pop up such as analytics, wifi scanning (even while off) and all the other ones ?
I uncheck all the crap i can. It's possible if you leave those checked that could be the culprit a bunch of services running in bckgrd....
Just a guess....but if you say this has happened on all your androids....maybe this is why.

Yep I un-ckeck all of those fields. Makes zero difference overall (I have tried both ways).

That sucks, could it be due to social media apps syncing constantly? Sorry I'm out of ideas....

Ibreak, maybe the problem is caused by apps sending reports and analytics via google services, samsung related stuff always sends analytics, even if you do not facebook, the damned thing is always lurking and consuming resources, google app and chrome also are resources-hoarders, I use ccswe to disable all useless firebase, crash, analytics, ad listeners, campaign trackers, components and some boot listeners within many apps

Enable Developer option
then go Settings» Developer options» running services
Here you should see a bunch of services running. A number of them should fall under Android System, close all related to Android System (it is ok to do so)
Then under Google Play services close all (well two of those services are persistent so they will auto start back in a couple seconds, lockscreeen service and Google location service), nothing you can do about this other than to disable Google play services which would then cause a lot of apps to cry like pandora, samsung internet browser, play store, YouTube etc.
Then go settings» apps» 3 dots at upper-right hand corner» show system apps» android system» battery» disable background activity
On each restart Android system background activity will be automatically enabled so just disable it on each restart.
The thing is it could be a number of apps or services that is causing the issue through Android system but a good indicator of which app might be causing your issue is to check Android system memory which is right below background activity, there it should show which app is accessing the memory through it the most. Disable that app or clean its cache/data.

It's in the same place you'd find background activity, but instead of going to battery, go to memory.
settings» apps» 3 dots at upper-right hand corner» show system apps» android system» memory
At the top above average memory usage you should see the app.
I would recommend using a package disabler (ccswe from the play store or package disabler pro from their website)
You can disable a lot of things but DO NOT disable
boot agent (could lock your phone in bootloop)
Android system (could hand your phone on boot up)
One UI (unless you have a different launcher installed and enabled)
IMS is important too
There's one more I can't remember right now, but you get the idea.
If you're not too sure if something can get disabled with no harsh side effects then just post the question
settings» apps» 3 dots at upper-right hand corner» show system apps» android system» mobile data
Shows a list of all the apps that have access to the network through Android system, disable the the ones you're sure you're not using or will use. That should shorten the list of potential battery drainer.
Thanks again.
It just shows an app called "face" under Android System memory. I assume that's for face unlock.
Be careful with disabling OneUI, because it will also disable the task manager and you'll got a really ugly one instead.

Yeah that's for face unlock. I used to use it but since the fingerprint scanner update it has been working really well with my screen protector so I don't really need it anymore so I have it disabled.
If you don't use face.
How i use my phone to maximize my battery is simple. Things I don't use or need I keep them disabled, some I simply disable until I need them like the play store or galaxy store etc. Every other day or so I would check those apps to see if there is an update I might want to install.

There's really no fix to Android System drain, it's especially worse when you're on mobile data.

GWA2 update R820XXU1BSK4 battery drain on OnePlus7T

I recently got a GWA2, quite happy with it. Paired nicely with the OnePlus7T.
But since I updated to R820XXU1BSK4 a few days back I am getting more battery drain on the mobile through com.samsung.android.gearrplugin (Samsung Accessory Service) app. Earlier I don't recall this app draining the battery so much. Is there any solution to this?
Cache clear and don't optimize it, i have OnePlus 7pro and it used to do that. I'm guessing because the phone is force closing it and its restarting to be able to connect to your watch., this cycle is draining your battery.

Finally problem seems to have been solved for me too. Have cleared cache of Galaxy Wearable, Samsung Accessory Service, Watch Active2 Plugin, apps and battery not optimised. Also cleared cache of Samsung S Health.
Also had this problem for a very long time, eventuzlly clearing cache of all watch apps including samsung health fixed it. Thanks alot!

Task Killer keeps killing AccuBattery

Lately, AccuBattery has been getting killed and the used percentages in history appear "chopped".

Youve made sure "disable task killer detection " is turned off in accubattery settings and you've added accu to "never sleeping apps" under background usage limits in android settings ?
Haven't recently installed any new "cleaning" or "boosting" software that bundle in aggressive task killers ?

Actually make sure battery optimization is turned off for accubattery. Go into settings and search for "optimize battery usage" and make sure its unchecked for accu.

I've an S21+ with the same issue as OP.
I've ensured the setting in accubattery is turned off (i.e. not disabled), and I've turned off the setting "Put unused apps to sleep", since Accubattery isn't showing up in my apps list in "Never sleeping apps". On top of that I've also disabled adaptive battery. I've also disabled all auto-optimisation that I've found, and I've no cleaning apps installed at all.
I'm having the same problem. Samsung Galaxy S20 FE fully up to date. Also Sense Clock every now and then will briefly show the wrong time by a few minutes behind when I wake up the phone or go to the home screen after being in an app for a while.
I noticed if you disabled optimization in an app, then it won't be available to add to Never Sleep Apps. The two settings appear mutually exclusive. Not sure which is better.
Anyone able to resolve this? Facing the same issue with the S22 Ultra..
Same issue, Google Pixel 6 Pro on official LOS 20.
