I have an XDA Exec and a QTEK 9100. One is for work, and one is personal. I'd like to be able to use one or both in the car.
I've got Krusell Multidapt cases for both of them (which I think are very nice). So, I just got a Krusell Multidapt car holder too. I haven't fitted it yet, so I can't comment on whether it works or not. The holder is quite rigid (but still bends) so I suspect that it is capable of supporting the Exec.
I was wondering if anyone had any positive experience they could share with integrated bluetooth car kits. The best thing to have (obviously) would be that the car kit would pair with both, and allow calls outbound from one of them (I know this is possible with some phones and kits). However, ultimately I'm just looking for a recommendation for a built-in bluetooth car kit that will work with either or both.
Thanks,
Joe
So I am looking for a way to play Pandora, etc using my Captivate in the car. I had the iPhone FM transmitter thingy that worked great, but my question is, is there one for the Captivate?
Seems like you're looking for just a standard FM Modulator. There are many out there. I cant recommend any particular one, but you can find them on most tech sites such as Newegg or others...

or

for starters...
I know Belkin stock their range of FM Transmitter's called TuneCast.
The latest models I could find was the Product TuneCast Auto Universal and the TuneCast III. Both priced at $49.99 respectively.
Quite pricey I must say.
I have a generic one I bought at Fry's for 10 or 15 bucks a while back. It's not perfect but it gets the job done. Looks like you can get them cheaper (as low as $6) on Amazon.
If you want the fancy Belkin one you can get the TuneCast Auto Universal on Buy.com for $22 shipped.
Let me know if you need links (as I can't create actual links in this post as a "new" user)
If you can wait 2 weeks for delivery...
...this is good and cheap FM transmitter. Sorry, no outside links for me yet...
Just Google dealextreme fm transmitter
It looks like Belkin TuneCast II but it's stronger transmitter. Price...$7.19...5x cheaper...
BTW cheap plastic but you can't have it all...
The FM chip in the Galaxy Phones has an FM receiver and transmitter. If they ever get it to work you might be able to access the built in transmitter and not have to use a 3rd party solution.
So far they are not having much luck.
I'm going to tell you what I tell people at work. I've tried them and it's not the best thing out there. You'd be better off biting the bullet, and just buying a new head unit for your car with a front auxiliary input.
Decent ones are going for about $80. Considering most good FM transmitters are about $60, I would just spend the extra $20 on a new head unit.
Good luck finding one though!
The best one I have used is the Monster one with configurable frequencies. Only downside is they are like 100 bucks.
I am looking to buy a new VW unit from alibaba or aliexpress.
What unit and seller do you recommend,
I need:
Quad core, 8" capacitive, wifi, gps, obd2, canbus, microSD.
Thank you!

Helpfull.
I've looked around and can't seem to find many options. I want to install one in my 2011 Silverado and have a mostly factory look, that's why I want a 7 inch that will fit flush in the dash. It seems the combo of PX6 with a volume knob is not common. Any recommendations?
