Hey guys,
it is time to give away my SWR50, it has served me well. I have been clinging on to it for quite some time. The Oppo watch is now the first watch that I have seen on the market that actually fulfills my needs again so I just got one and I am happy.
My SWR50 has the metal band, the black rubber band and a pink rubber band and you will get it all. The watch is in good condition, the battery lasts a good day still, but I remember that it used to be better. I will send it to you for free in Germany (just PM me) and, provided when you pay shipping and handling, internationally (just PM me as well).
In general, it is FCFS but if you are a developer with a legitimate need for it, please post in this thread instead and you have precedence.
I really enjoyed the support of the community for this little beast!
Cheers to all of you, Jack
Hi, I would love to have the metal band. Can I?
In principle yes. I could send you the whole package and you forward the rest to the next person in line How's that? Just send me a PM with your address real quick...

Don't bother with me, an adapter and bracelet that I thought would never come, it has. Thank you anyway.

Hey why don't we have one???
I recently found someone on this site that got a Jam from me. I would rather give the great XDA-Developers.com members a chance before trying to sell it on eBay.
I totally agree!
Me too. I've had a lot of help from this site, and have recommended it to friends who also have found it very useful. I posted this a couple of days ago:
"I know that this is not a selling forum, but I've had a lot of help over quite a long time from this site so would like to help out fellow members if I can. If this is not acceptable to the moderators I'm sorry, but here goes:
I've got an XDA2 that has been dropped. The screen is fine, but it's permanently locked into "Calendar" mode and cycles through all the calendar views and options. In all other ways it is in very good condition. It receives and makes calls, and all the functions are available, but I can't always turn it off. It's boxed and complete with cradle, charger, earphones, case, software, manuals, etc., and I'm sure that someone with a bit more time than me could make use of it. It's not stolen, or from any other dubious source - I've upgraded and just don't have the time at the moment - I wish I did, but that's the way it goes".
I think that the whole XDA-developers community could benefit if, for instance, the seller donated, let's say, 10% of the agreed selling price to the site. I think that's fair and gives XDA-developer members the chance to benefit rather than the auction sites. I looked at eBay in order to sell the item I've mentioned above, and I'm new to Ebay, but it looks over-complicated for what I want to do with an item that I know is faulty.
There may be other issues that might make things difficult, but if people are honest in their descriptions I don't see a big problem. Caveat emptor - let the buyer beware - if you're not happy about something, don't do it.
I think there's room for discussion on this matter.

I have submitted a product suggestion on your behalf, and recommend keeping an eye on our website, as it will have the most up to date information on any new releases that we may have."
Wow thanks maybe I should call and email as well. Hopefully they will get the hint and make it happen.

Yeah def. to anyone who reads this thread head over to otterbox.com and send em an email saying you'd like a case made. They make high quality stuff.
Never had an Otterbox case but i know they are thick. And pricey.
Just replied. And as pricy as they are look up on youtube. Otterbox car and iphone. A friggin car runs over an iFail and the phone stays in tact. Its super restive from what i heard and also i hear the build quality is AMAZING! As thick as it is its worth it. Plus OG smartphones are thick arent they? Not only will it pretect it itll make your anerexic vibrant into a smartphone
Yee!
This is what they replied: Thank you for contacting Otter Products, LLC Customer Support.
Your request for assistance has been received. Case #157586 - "Samsung Galaxy S" has been created for you. A member of our customer care team will respond to your case as soon as possible.
Just sent them the following email,
Hi, I am emailing you in regards to the International and US carrier specific versions of the Samsung Galaxy S series phones. I'm just asserting my interest in purchasing a Defender series case if you were to launch a line for the Galaxy S.
In my opinion, I believe the Galaxy S series phones to be a good investment for a high end phone case manufacturer such as yourself. My opinion is due largely to the sheer number of phones that have been sold already; since launch totaling over 1 million units. Also, I've found a large percentage of the international variant of the Galaxy S were bought outright with out carrier subsidy, and with prices ranging from $599-800 on average I would imagine that most of those people would want to amply protect their investment with a ruggedized case such as yours. Another advantage to the series is that the International and US Carrier specific versions of the phone are very similar in form factor, thus minimal retooling and design changes would be necessary to make the case work with two of the US carriers, and with the International version to a certain degree. In actuality, the US specific versions such as T-Mobile Vibrant and Verizon Fascinate are practically identical externally and the capacitive touch buttons on the face of the phone will, I trust, lend themselves well to the simple and robust protection that the Defender series can provide. Honestly, after seeing the success you've had with the design of the hardware "Home" button on the face of the iPhone cases, I could see something very similar as easy to implement for the international version of the Galaxy S.
Although I believe that the other two US carrier specific versions of the phone would be less profitable to design a Defender series case due to their irregular shape and slider design respectively, I think they would still lend themselves well to the commuter, impact, or tandem line of cases.
Sorry if I seem to ramble on, but I'm very excited to see an offering from Otterbox for the Galaxy S line, and I see it as a great opportunity for you the manufacturer and I the consumer to be mutually benefited by a superbly designed and executed case offering from your company.
Thank you for your consideration and for giving me the outlet to express my desire to protect my beloved Samsung Vibrant with your case offerings. Thanks again.

Come on guys, lay it on thick.
This is can be a great case to protect our $199-$599 investments,
and we're the ones that have to convince Otterbox that this case needs to be made!
So bump it up to the top!

Just sent them a message too. I waited forever to see a US release for the HD2 but it never happened. I hope something shows up for the Vibrant.
I mailed them too.
Got the same cookie cutter responce everyone else has.
I have a feeling they will cave in and make one....but it might take some time for it to show up

Send 'em more messages people!
Just sent a message. I will also make a post on the other forums I frequent, asking everyone to send Otterbox a message.
I hope they'll heed our requests for a case. I really like the quality of the iPhone cases they make.

Do you have any plans on making a commuter case for the samsung vibrant? Thanks.
Got an email back from them today:
We are currently working on a case for this device. I recommend keeping an eye on our website or Facebook page where we will be sure to post more information as soon as it is available. Generally it takes approximately 2-4 months for a case to developed once a device is released to the public. Customer Service finds out about new case releases the moment they are posted to the website
I was just checking their website yesterday to see if they've come out yet. They are at the end of their "development" time. Didn't take long for the bastards to come out with a Captivate case.
Just thought there should be a thread dedicated to this sick case being that it seems the only one to me with the most promise (quality look to compliment the thin design + good history). I'll keep this updated up to the availability of the Brushed Aluminum Barely There case. google searching brought me to Tessco.com which has it for $40.00 but no pictures to confirm its existence. anyone gonna take a dive for it?
i would post a link but i'm on a new account under moderator url restrictions. i google'd "barely there epic touch 4g"
UPDATE: uplifted my restrictions (thanks mod)
and the preorder $20, expected availability 10/31 (silver) ***CAUTION: THERE HAVE BEEN NEGATIVE FEEDBACK FROM PPL WHO PREORDERED THEIR CASE FROM theaccessoryking.com***
http://www.theaccessoryking.com/cas...ch-4g-case-mate-barely-there-case-silver.html
another preorder emerged for $20, expected availability 10/31 (black)

I throw my support in with kain144000 for the Case-Mate Barely There Aluminum case w/ KICKSTAND (!!!!) and suggest that you all do as well since its basically the same case, except the kickstand, of course.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1283583
Edit 2: MOBILECITYONLINE IS NO LONGER ACCEPTING PREORDERS because it is already on the market, obviously
appreciate it as this is the case i more than likely will get
np. feel free to hit the "thanks" button
theaccessoryking.com has it for preorder $20.00, pretty sketchy but it gives us an expected release date: 9/29
Out of all the cases I've had for my Inspire, the Case Mate Tough was by far the best. Can't wait for their e4gt cases.
The TPU will tide me over for now, it's actually a pretty good case but I feel safer with a hard shell. Probably going to return my Samsung kickstand one to Sprint.. it's not a very good design.
Transmission sent from a Galaxy S II.
Is there anywhere we can give an 'un-thank' up in here?
FWIW (its probably a standard email)
I received this email after inquiring about the case. I didn't particularly like the "or if" part.
-------------------------------------
Thank you for contacting case-mate and your interest in our products. At this time, we do not have any specific information on when, or if, the SPRINT Samsung Epic 4g Touch barely there case might become available. Our product development team is always working on new products. I will gladly share your feedback/request with them!
At case-mate we thrive on customer feedback! We offer several ways for you to interact with case-mate as little or as much as you would like. You can share feedback or product comments directly with the development team at: http://feedback.case-mate.com. For real time updates on product releases and promotions you can follow us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/casemate, or on Twitter at http://twitter.com/casemate. Our community manager will let you know as soon as new cases are available on the site. You can also sign up for our newsletter at: http://www.case-mate.com/mailing-list.asp for the latest case-mate news, product releases, and product promotions.
Thank you again for your request and feedback!

I emailed support to ask with a link to the item listed. Like I said in another thread, it looks like the kind of site that sells to 3rd party vendors, and since the packaging says Sprint branded, I suspect this is meant for non-corporate Sprint stores.
Obviously no real confirmation, but I will post any kind of non-generic answer I get.

i figured the same, but if thats the case (haha). maybe we can pool a couple orders together and save a buck or two? that is, if they do bulk orders
UPDATE: i registrared and their expected availability is 10/04, most likely that will be when case-mate decides to put it up on their site and it starts showing up everywhere. that $20 pre order is starting to look pretty tasty
How much wait and thickness will this case add?
Love the idea of the case. But the lightness of this phone is one of its biggest pluses.
Really, really like the idea of this case though.

it'll add about 1.5 oz (not sure how noticeable that may be, but it should bump it up to the weight of the MoPho) its stream-lined fitted, snaps on snug and is pretty durable for its thinness. i wanna say its thinner than the tpu case, not sure tho. but i know for a fact its one of the thinnest cases you can get hence the name "barely there"
Some people claim this case interferes with GPS reception. =/

Are you saying theaccessoryking.com is a sketchy seller? Or that you aren't a fan of preorder in general? Or sketchy putting money down sight unseen?
I am fine getting a little extra discount in exchange for patience...

Is theaccessoryking a reputable seller?
just got a response from Case Mate indicating that the vendor from the link is legit and that the product is real (ie model number, device, etc.) they did not indicate anything on the date however...
Just preordered my casemate tough from theaccessoryking.com for $21. I love the barely there cases but certainly not in silver, which is the only option available on that site.

What i found sketchy was that it didn't exist anywhere else, not even Case-Mate verified it. I'm fine with preorder (i preordered my ET4g) its just that i did a preorder on a case once before (not from accessoryking) and it never came into stock. But i hope this doesnt scare anyone bc they didnt take my money or anything they just messed with me and gave me false hope >.>
especially after diaa08 confirmed that its live (at least i believe s/he was referring to this link) i would jump on it, its quite the deal

the complaints i see are for the HTC Inspire/Desire and it wasnt just for the barely there, they had it for ALL cases but if there is a problem, from the threads i read you can complain to Case-Mate and they'll send you complimentary cases you could try or just sell and buy another case

EDITED for UPDATE:
BETA CLOSED - Thanks to everyone for your interest and comments!
The Badasscase for the HTC ONE has been Released - Picture below!
End of EDIT
Hello XDA Members!
I am looking for a couple people to beta test a PROTOTYPE version of my cases for the HTC ONE.
Interested in people who can provide detailed feedback, enjoy experimenting, and hopefully have some knowledge of building/fabrication/hard core tinkering, etc. - Also, "vision" is a major plus... what I mean is if you are the type of person who sees and old, rusty, beat up classic car... and you immediately visualize the "Showcar" in your mind.
This is limited to the USA for shipping costs (which I will cover) and you absolutely MUST own the HTC ONE.
Social media nuts, bloggers, reviewers, would also be a plus.
I will be posting some pictures of the prototypes on Monday or Tuesday, and am also looking for feedback here on the different designs I have going so far.
If interested, shoot me a PM and please let me know a little bit about yourself! I will probably not reply back until Sunday/Monday, but I will reply to everyone who inquires.
Thanks

If one was to pay the extra needed to ship to the UK, would you consider shipping it someone in the UK?
definitely interested in this, let me in. Thanks

Might be interested too. Love to see what you have in mind
I'm buying my HTC One tomorrow and I'd be totally down to testing this out.
I'm interested.
I'd wanna test it out, but I'm in Aus. What if I was willing to pay postage ?
Edit: And of course, I do have a HTC One too.
I would like to beta test! I currently have my HTC One
In Florida, ordered my Stealth Black today, definitely interested.
Update : Picked up my Glacier Silver today.
HTC One Beta Tester Application
I would like to participate!
I'm in Florida and I have my HTC One in hand and would love to help you out!!
I have my silver One in hand. I'm in PA. I've also had several aluminum cases for my various other phones, so I might be able to offer you some insight in that regard.
Definitely interested, in California, with a silver One.
Also, if it helps I have a 1983 supra restored + modded (showcar, haha)
Man this is right up my alley as a conceptual design engineer.....shame I'm in the UK.....let me know if you want any drawings thrown together......

Thanks for the overwhelming response!
Hello all,
Thanks for the huge response! I have a ton of PM's to go through and will be doing so throughout the day. I will make some decisions within the next 24-48 hours.
As far as shipping outside the US, there are a few reasons for this. Mainly the time delay involved getting it shipped/received.
From the responses, it seems some of you have not seen any of the cases I have done. I was thinking most would see my signature, but alas that doesn't show up when viewing from a phone (as far as I know). So below is a link to my facebook page (also in my sig) to give you an idea of what the case is going to be like.
In late March I prototyped the HTC ONE from pictures for this first run and have a company that laser cuts these for me. And I have 5 variations of "backs" and 2 "fronts" that I will have tomorrow. It takes a couple weeks to get parts from my vendor, so I have to be quick with my designs!
Since having my ONE, I have made some adjustments to the design, and will be double checking everything tomorrow with the first set of prototype parts. I will be sending off "version 2" later this week for a small production run in order to have product ready and available as quickly as possible for an upcoming trade show.
What I am looking for in testers, is mainly someone who can and will do some of the following.
Testing signals - Network/Wifi/Bluetooth/GPS/NFC etc.
An example, GPS - Let your significant other drive, while you have your ONE in the case and another similar android phone (no case) set to the same destination. During this trip, take notes of both phones if/when they lose GPS lock, how long it takes to reestablish GPS lock. Any differences between the two devices should be noted.
Also, as a control, run the same route, with both phones without a case taking the same notes to compare. With case/without case.
My main concern it signals. I do not want the case to degrade the ability of the phone in any way!
In my current production case for the HTC EVO 4G LTE (Full Back), the only issue is NFC, which is non-functional because of the aluminum back. For this reason I created an "open back" version to have a fully functional device. I prefer to have just one version for the ONE.
I will of course be running a multitude of tests myself, but am looking to compare my experience with a few other users to ensure a perfect product!
Also, I know some of you will be able to provide ideas/feedback that I might not think of. I do not plan to change much in my physical designs, but might do so according the feedback I receive.
Again, thanks for all of the PM's and I will be getting back to everyone within the next day... in the meantime, check the facebook page to see a few of the EVO LTE cases!

Hi all
Been some time since we posted on this site....life and all that gets in the way sometimes.
Just a reminder that a while ago we got some very favorable reviews here about our products; leather holsters and cases for PDAs, cell phones and now - Smartphones.
We are still busy beavering away. If I had the space there surely is a tale worth the telling. But to keep it brief we are still providing the same style of products...and still improving our design and manufacturing techniques to meet the needs of people like you; those folk who live, breath and oft-times work through their mobile devices.
So,,, just a reminder here; if you do need a really good holster or case to protect your mobile device visit our website, use the search button and - if you still cannot find what you need - use the 'Liveperson' button at the top of every page to send us a message.
Oh...and if you are generous enough to purchase one of our very fine products (plug, plug) use the coupon code 'tuff02" to earn a healthy discount.
All the best to one and all.
