SM-T800 possibly bricked? - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, I am trying to repair an SM-T800 that a retired co-worker left in his office on his last day. Unfortunately this means I dont know if ADB is/was enabled in settings, nor do I know what he did to screw it up. I have installed the latest Samsung USB drivers on my PC. When you try to boot up it gets stuck on the logo screen with the error "KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING" and will not go beyond that.
I can get in to recovery: https://dl.xda-cdn.com/5/1/3/2/7/1/5/20201109_150504.jpg?key=mBcAaKMn5XfEKbdT-D9RAg&ts=1604952923 However when i go into ADB; my PC will not detect it. I performed a wipe data/system factory reset and I get stuck with the same error on the logo screen. If i reboot to Bootloader I get stuck at the same error on the logo screen.
I can get however get into download mode.: https://dl.xda-cdn.com/5/1/3/2/7/2/7/20201109_154421.jpg?key=AVyFna3n1f9PXJ6O6fWIig&ts=1604954839 but Odin will not detect the tablet.
I tried multiple cables on on multiple different PCs and it will not detect through ADB/Odin either. Is there a flashable zip I can install via microSD card from the stock recovery? Are there any de-brick tools? Any assistance anyone can offer is greatly appreciated.

I can't count how many times I've soft bricked my T800. Odin has always been my savior. My thoughts are, if you can get it into download mode, but even with multiple USB cables, Odin fails to respond, you've possibly got a damaged USB port on the tab. Does Windows respond when you connect it to a USB port. (USB2 ONLY, I believe.)

[Q] SGH-T999 Hangs on boot, broken CWM? Not recognized by ODIN

Hi guys,
New to this phone, from a customer. Can get into CWM but it seems broken - can't get into most menus, just goes to the CWM logo, "no files found", does nothing on most options. Sometimes you can select something, often times not. Just a while back, I could wipe everything, but it still hangs at boot.
Download mode - is not recognized by ODIN or PC. Tried re-installing Samsung USB, 3 diff. cables, zadig does not see it in List All Devices.
Thing hangs on the bootscreen. Gets to the Android 4G Tmo- logo, then Samsung glow letters, just hangs / loops.
I have the factory ROM to install, I just need to see the damn thing :cyclops:
Tried diff pc, still... JTAG?

[Q] GS3 stuck in bootloop

Hey guys. just tried to flash CM 10.1.3 after some bugs in Carbon started getting on my nerves. Used ROM Toolbox and ended up getting my device stuck in some kind of weird boot loop. The phone boots up with the samsung logo and (recovery booting) text at the top left hand corner. For some reason, it boots up, but nothing on the display. it vibrates every few seconds, but nothing. I tried to boot into recovery manually, but the same thing happens. So i figure I'll just to into Odin and flash my stock copy on, no big deal. For some reason, my PC, nor Odin are recognizing that the GS3 is plugged in and in download mode. No Unkown Devices, nothing shows up anywhere. Anyone know a fix, or am I completely ****ed?
If your PC does not recognize download mode, you can try to check the cable, plug it into a different USB port, or pull your battery and try again.
If none of that works, you are not screwed. Be lucky you have an android It's possible for an android to boot from an SDcard such as a windows boot disk on desktop.

Help with bricked phone

The phone when trying to boot is stuck on the samsung logo. it doesnt progress past this. pressing and holding the power button makes screen go black and then it just returns to the samsung logo again when power button released.
Originally factory
reset phone... no difference,
wiped cache... no difference.
Got it to register in Odin. Odin crashed and hung part way through.
Now... computer doesn't recognise phone (drivers all installed)
Phone still stuck on samsung logo
Can't put in a file on SD card as it doesn't have option to install from zip from SD (think it was standard ROM and not rooted so doesn't have this ability from what I understand.)
Can get into recovery menus and download mode, however as PC can't recognize the phone can't do anything with it.
Anyone have any idea how I can make the computer recognize the phone so I can attempt to reflash it?
Many thanks
I have just gotten a new cable. The phone has been accepted by my computer with this new cable and I've now used the files on this forum to help flash the phone. This site is fantastic. I know noone has mentioned a response to this yet, however the ROM files accessible make it so easy from here. Thanks so much.

Soft Bricked LG G Pad II 8.0 (LGV498) Wifi only

So I soft bricked my LG G Pad II 8.0 Tablet... Not the worst thing in the world, except that 1.) There seems to be not much at all on the internet as far as stock ROMs or how to guides on fixing my particular tablet. 2.) My computer does not seem to be recognizing my tablet when trying to use ADB, despite having installed all the drivers etc.
My device is stuck in a BootLoop, it will allow me to try a Hard Reset, which is unsuccessful. But it will not go into recovery mode OR Download mode no matter what sequence of the buttons I push and i've scoured the internet trying different button sequences.
My Tablet will charge when plugged into USB, my comp will also go *ding* when i press the power button with the tablet plugged in as if it is reconginzing it and everything. Also Device Manager seems to have it listed with no Exclamation Point or any sign of trouble... Just when I go to use ADB and i search for the device it says *error no device found*
The Tablet just sits there with the LG Logo screen pissing me off more and more as my attempts fail.
I will say USB debugging was not enabled beforehand *cough cough* my mistake
Will reflashing it work by using the MicroSD card method? If that is the only way i will have to just buy one i guess. It did not come with it and it is a Wifi only tablet, no carrier attached.
And if I try the MicroSD method, will it still work without being able to put the tablet into recovery mode?
I believe I have the correct .IMG file for my stock ROM... I just can't seem to get anywhere with flashing it to the device at this point.......
Please Help!

*UPDATE* So I happened to stumble upon a random piece of information that proved REALLY useful in this situation. Someone put in a forum that Lollipop ONLY is detected when plugged into USB 2.0 ports NOT USB 3.0 ports like I was using. So I did this and was able to make my tablet enter into Download Mode FINALLY.... Anyone have any good methods on how to Flash Stock ROM using ADB and a connected soft bricked tablet?
I have already tried a couple methods that I have found and they were unsuccessful. One was using ODIN software and the other was using LG Flash Tool, unfortunately neither worked....

Samsung GT-N5110 - Stuck in Boot Loop, Can't flash Due To "Write Error!!"

I have a Samsung Note 8 GT-N5110 (WiFi only) that is stuck at the Samsung logo.
This started after there was an attempt to flash a non-stock firmware and the device powered off before it was done.
When I attempt to enter Recovery Mode (Volume Up + Home + Power) it displays "Write Fail!" in upper left of the screen.
I am able to enter "Download Mode", so I've tried flashing a stock firmware using Odin.
I've tried both a One-Click recovery based on ODIN3 v1.81 and also tried Odin3 v3.12.10.
Each time, Odin fails, with a message:
write fail!!
SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE:2, BINARY:1
I've tried various versions of firmware, and nothing seems to work.
I've tried disconnecting the battery for a minute or so, and it still fails.
Any ideas what else I can try?
I have screen shots and detailed logs of what I've been getting, if that helps.
Thanks!
Believe it or not, I still have this device, and have not been able to get it to work!
So, I'll just revive this zombie post more than 2 years later, and see if anyone has any idea on what to do.
I'm in the fourth (fifth? sixth?) week of corona-quarrantine, so plenty of time to look into this!
The tablet needs more power than the computer's USB port can deliver. Thus, it will slowly drain the battery while connected to the computer and working via ADB, Odin or Heimdall. Seems like that has been the case in your earlier attempt, resulting in a corrupt flash memory. I can't tell if it's really defective or just corrupt and in need of formatting.
I'd try to:
1) Charge the battery
2) Copy LineageOS to the MicroSD card
3) Boot into download mode and install TWRP only via Odin or Heimdall. If this works,
4) Boot into Recovery (TWRP, not the stock one!), connect the charger to keep it powered and go from there (wipe and repair the internal flash, install LineageOS)
If this doesn't work, try if you can find any service functions in Odin or Heimdall to wipe and repair the internal flash.
Good Luck!
Ektus.
Hi Ektus,
Thanks for your help!
I will try as you suggested, and see what happens.
I'll let you know how I do.
Thanks!
I had similar problem. What I did is just change the USB cable to new.
