[Q] SGH-T999 Hangs on boot, broken CWM? Not recognized by ODIN - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

Hi guys,
New to this phone, from a customer. Can get into CWM but it seems broken - can't get into most menus, just goes to the CWM logo, "no files found", does nothing on most options. Sometimes you can select something, often times not. Just a while back, I could wipe everything, but it still hangs at boot.
Download mode - is not recognized by ODIN or PC. Tried re-installing Samsung USB, 3 diff. cables, zadig does not see it in List All Devices.
Thing hangs on the bootscreen. Gets to the Android 4G Tmo- logo, then Samsung glow letters, just hangs / loops.
I have the factory ROM to install, I just need to see the damn thing :cyclops:

Tried diff pc, still... JTAG?

[Q] GS3 stuck in bootloop

Hey guys. just tried to flash CM 10.1.3 after some bugs in Carbon started getting on my nerves. Used ROM Toolbox and ended up getting my device stuck in some kind of weird boot loop. The phone boots up with the samsung logo and (recovery booting) text at the top left hand corner. For some reason, it boots up, but nothing on the display. it vibrates every few seconds, but nothing. I tried to boot into recovery manually, but the same thing happens. So i figure I'll just to into Odin and flash my stock copy on, no big deal. For some reason, my PC, nor Odin are recognizing that the GS3 is plugged in and in download mode. No Unkown Devices, nothing shows up anywhere. Anyone know a fix, or am I completely ****ed?
If your PC does not recognize download mode, you can try to check the cable, plug it into a different USB port, or pull your battery and try again.
If none of that works, you are not screwed. Be lucky you have an android It's possible for an android to boot from an SDcard such as a windows boot disk on desktop.

Help with bricked phone

The phone when trying to boot is stuck on the samsung logo. it doesnt progress past this. pressing and holding the power button makes screen go black and then it just returns to the samsung logo again when power button released.
Originally factory
reset phone... no difference,
wiped cache... no difference.
Got it to register in Odin. Odin crashed and hung part way through.
Now... computer doesn't recognise phone (drivers all installed)
Phone still stuck on samsung logo
Can't put in a file on SD card as it doesn't have option to install from zip from SD (think it was standard ROM and not rooted so doesn't have this ability from what I understand.)
Can get into recovery menus and download mode, however as PC can't recognize the phone can't do anything with it.
Anyone have any idea how I can make the computer recognize the phone so I can attempt to reflash it?
Many thanks
I have just gotten a new cable. The phone has been accepted by my computer with this new cable and I've now used the files on this forum to help flash the phone. This site is fantastic. I know noone has mentioned a response to this yet, however the ROM files accessible make it so easy from here. Thanks so much.

Galaxy Note II (GT-N7100) Resuscitation

Its been a long time since I booted my Galaxy Note-II (GT-N7100) as I use an iPhone and Nexus 5 as my daily drivers.
The phone wont boot past the Samsung Galaxy Note II GT-N7100 logo. I am able to access the recovery and download mode as well, and I have flashed the latest stock rom from Sammobile using the Odin. The flashing was successful. however the phone doesn't boot past the logo. Also the phone will not power up unless connected to a PC, it wont power up even when connected to a charger and will immediately shut down when the USB cable is disconnected from the PC. I flashed TWRP 3.0.2 Custom Recovery using the Odin and tried installing CM 13 based Rom through the mem card, however the log reads patching image unconditionally and also that "Failed to mount /system" (invalid argument). The phone when restarted into recovery can no longer mount the /system partition. However on flashing the stock rom using Odin, the /system partition is available for mounting. The recovery log also shows MTP enabled, but my PC doesn't detect the phone when in recovery, it only detects the phone in Download mode. I have the Samsung drivers installed. Since the phone is not being detected in recovery I am unable to use the adb.
I am out of ideas and request your suggestions other than approaching a service centre.
If I can somehow access the phone via ADB, I might be able to check the memory partitions for corrupt units, and possibly create a custom PIT file to repartition and suit the available memory units.
Try this: open Odin, uncheck everything except f.reset time. Connect phone and flash stock ROM. When you see the word reset in the status window, remove USB cable, remove battery for a few seconds, replace battery, immediately boot the phone into recovery mode, factory wipe, and boot the phone.
Could the battery be defective or dead?

Click to collapse
Thanks a lot.
Tried your method and finally the phone has booted into the OS.
Had to replace the battery with another spare one in the process.
However the phone is still not being detected by the PC unless it's in Fastboot/ Download mode.
When connected to a computer, does anything appear on the phone screen? If you're using Windows, nothing new appears in device manager?
sorry to jump in this thread but i am having a similar problem
my completely stock tmobile note 2 is stuck on the samsung logo
i have never flashed it or done anything to it
my phone was working really slow, freezing up and battery draining fast
so i did a hard reset and it fixed the problem of running slow and freezing up for a week or so but battery drained fast
so i bought a replacement battery from ebay and installed it and the next day i restarted my phone and it froze on the samsung logo

Resurrecting/ubricking GT-i9195 S4 mini - now bootloop - i am stuck - need help! :)

Hi
I have borrowed this one with unknown condition, maybe someone played with it on JTAG to get back data....
When arrived, it was a HARD BRICK, no sign of light at all, only qualcom flash loader recognition (9008).
No vibrating, no poweron, no battery charging, , only a black screen.
I have played a lot with it, resurrected with an SD card, reflashed with ODIN....
Now the phone can poweron alone (without a boot-sd), but bootlooping in ~10sec, only samsung logo and one vibration / period.
On recovery it says "nincs parancs." (no command) and immediately reboots again into normal bootloop.
I have re-flashed the recovery as well to stock one, but nothing changed.
I have successfully get into recovery by key combination on the right second (bypassing the no command), but ONLY ONCE, and i am unable to do again.
When i was in recovery, reformatted cache/data, reboot, but no change.
Now in fastboot mode it shows read only mode.
If i am right, i can re-flash it with SD card again, but WHAT TO DO to get out from bootloop or to get a working recovery or at least TWRP?
Unfortunately the full build number is unknown.
Any suggestion?
Somebody have any ROM image with ALL of the partitions inside for 9195 hungary version?

SM-T800 possibly bricked?

Hey guys, I am trying to repair an SM-T800 that a retired co-worker left in his office on his last day. Unfortunately this means I dont know if ADB is/was enabled in settings, nor do I know what he did to screw it up. I have installed the latest Samsung USB drivers on my PC. When you try to boot up it gets stuck on the logo screen with the error "KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING" and will not go beyond that.
I can get in to recovery: https://dl.xda-cdn.com/5/1/3/2/7/1/5/20201109_150504.jpg?key=mBcAaKMn5XfEKbdT-D9RAg&ts=1604952923 However when i go into ADB; my PC will not detect it. I performed a wipe data/system factory reset and I get stuck with the same error on the logo screen. If i reboot to Bootloader I get stuck at the same error on the logo screen.
I can get however get into download mode.: https://dl.xda-cdn.com/5/1/3/2/7/2/7/20201109_154421.jpg?key=AVyFna3n1f9PXJ6O6fWIig&ts=1604954839 but Odin will not detect the tablet.
I tried multiple cables on on multiple different PCs and it will not detect through ADB/Odin either. Is there a flashable zip I can install via microSD card from the stock recovery? Are there any de-brick tools? Any assistance anyone can offer is greatly appreciated.
I can't count how many times I've soft bricked my T800. Odin has always been my savior. My thoughts are, if you can get it into download mode, but even with multiple USB cables, Odin fails to respond, you've possibly got a damaged USB port on the tab. Does Windows respond when you connect it to a USB port. (USB2 ONLY, I believe.)
