If I upgrade to MIUI 12/Android 10 using Xiaomi's official fastboot image...
1. can I go back and flash lk, lk2, and preloader outlined in the CFW mega thread?
2. Can I flash the lrtwrp (made for Android 10) from fastboot afterwards?
Thank you.

Hello, I have installed some days ago HavocOS, but I'm experiencing some crashes on apps I do use regularly, so I want to go back to MIUI, but I'm scared to brick my device because the antirollback, I do know my last MIUI version installed was something like 10.0.6.0, but I dont know if it's exactly the same that is in Xiaomi official download page. What should I do to not brick my device? Can I install the developer ROM with no issues? Or how could I know what ROM exactly I had before? I have no backup of MIUI whatsoever and my anti-rollback code is 4.. Thanks in advance.
Boot phone to fastboot and check your ARB version with this command:
fastboot getvar anti
I think you will have ARB 4 version.
You can only brick your phone when you will downgrade ARB 4 -> ARB 3.
Then download latest MIUI stable (1.0.0.6) from xiaomi website (fastboot version) and flash it with miflash.
Visit en.miui.com/a-234.html
Download fastboot rom and flash it using miflash
What about twrp backup of miui 10?? Will restoreing it brick my phone??
install latest pitchblack recoveryfrom here then install any miui recovery rom you want
I have redmi note 5 pro and I have installed the latest orange fox recovery in it. Please tell me how can i downgrade my miui 11.0.3.0 to miui 10.2.1.0 oreo without bricking my device.
Thanks in advance
I'm not sure (wait for a proper answer) but I think ROMs from MIUI 9.5.19.0 and above are ARB4. I recommend that you flash a fastboot ROM that include the proper firmware for Oreo.

yes I recomend fastboot way too, not recovery's
I will like to ask people why recovery downgrading is risky as with custom recovery u can have n number of possibilities

Thanks buddy for ur help, I successfully downgraded to 10.2.1.0.
One more question, what is the minimum ROM version that i can downgrade to (I have ARB 4)?
Now your ARB version is 4.
You can download the offical ROM image package and exract it.
Then open the file called "flash_all.bat". Look for "set CURRENT_ANTI_VER" in this file and look at the ARB version of the package.
If the anti level is 4 , it's safe to downgrade to this version.
If it's below 4, DO NOT flash the ROM or your phone will be bricked.

I'm curently running the latest stock rom and I wanted to downgrade to firmware 10.0.13.0 so I could try some custom roms that don't support the latest stock Q.
How do I do that? I've seen a lot of threads talking about dowgrading from Pie to Oreo but still haven't seen anything on the process of going from Q to Pie.

Downgrading to pie is d same as loading the os using miflash. U jus go to fastboot and run d process or enter EDL mode & run d process.

Good day xda devs and users! I'm using Lineage 17.1 Android 10 and I want to go back to MIUI 11 Oreo. Can I just go straight to flashing with the tool and Fastboot image from miui web page, or do I need to flash Firmware back to Oreo first? Thank you.
Download fastboot rom from the miui community then use MiFlash to flash the stock rom.
Do I need boot loader unlock?
I think you need to unlock bootloader, am i sure? Let me know about this. I am wait for your reply.

Unlock bootloader
- Official way and wait 7 days.
- Unofficial way instant.
Flash rom
- Fastboot: Flash fastboot rom by Mi Flash tool and lock your bootloader (optional).
- TWRP: Flash twrp, flash recovery rom.
