I was on miui 9.5.9 or something. Then I went to miui 10 and then I tried custom rom. Now I'm trying to get back to miui 9 and mi flash doesnt let me. It simply runs for a second and says flashing done.

^^^ ARP: - You need to enable fastboot, so mi flash has access to the device. Or update Mi Flash to latest version.
Hi All
I am trying to flash TWRP 3.2.1.2 on my Redmi Note 5 AI China version on MIUI 10.8.9.20 Beta
but I am getting an error (failed anti-roolback check). Anyone know of a work-around for this or is it no longer
possible to flash TWRP. My phone is already bootloader unlocked.
Hi there,
You should be able to see the guide on how to twrp on of the theads here.
After you get that error you must flash a dummy.img file into the recovery then last step is to flash the twrp file again.
It should be sucessful after doing so.
Let me know how you go

Hello, I have installed some days ago HavocOS, but I'm experiencing some crashes on apps I do use regularly, so I want to go back to MIUI, but I'm scared to brick my device because the antirollback, I do know my last MIUI version installed was something like 10.0.6.0, but I dont know if it's exactly the same that is in Xiaomi official download page. What should I do to not brick my device? Can I install the developer ROM with no issues? Or how could I know what ROM exactly I had before? I have no backup of MIUI whatsoever and my anti-rollback code is 4.. Thanks in advance.
Boot phone to fastboot and check your ARB version with this command:
fastboot getvar anti
I think you will have ARB 4 version.
You can only brick your phone when you will downgrade ARB 4 -> ARB 3.
Then download latest MIUI stable (1.0.0.6) from xiaomi website (fastboot version) and flash it with miflash.
Visit en.miui.com/a-234.html
Download fastboot rom and flash it using miflash
What about twrp backup of miui 10?? Will restoreing it brick my phone??
install latest pitchblack recoveryfrom here then install any miui recovery rom you want
Device: Redmi Note 5 AI (Chinese 3/32)
Firmware: Pie Beta 9.3.29
Anti Rollback Index: 4
I was in MIUI official beta and upgraded to MIUI Pie Beta couple of days ago. I didn't like the update much and decided to flash custom ROM for the first time (for this device). So, I flashed Havoc OS 2.3(whyred) and after dealing with encryption I was able to boot successfully. But, camera and audio(music player, video player, YouTube), MTP, flash and few other things were not working, so I flashed Pixel Experience(whyred). Unfortunately, I wasn't able to boot this time. The rom booted into fastboot mode instead of system.
My understanding after roaming around XDA is that it's happening because my base firmware is pie. So, I want to flash an Oreo firmware. Is that possible? What about ARB?

I recovered my phone by flashing Stock ROM "miui_HMNote5HMNote5ProGlobal_V10.2.1.0.OEIMIXM_5191f339c3_8.1.zip" via TWRP. It will overwrite TWRP with Stock Recovery, You have to reflash TWRP via fastboot.
After that you will be able to flash any Custom ROM successfully.

Thank you. But I was looking forward to flashing a Oreo firmware so I flashed Chinese Stable 10.2.2 ( With ARB Index 4) by MI Flash, which happened to be my previous ROM before pie update. It worked for me. Currently using Havoc Os without any bug.

Sorry I didn't understand bro
Before your instal havoc os, clear data/system and flash firmware to 8.1.0.Reboot to recovery again.
https://osdn.net/projects/xiaomifir...oGlobal_V10.2.2.0.OEIMIXM_8be41b2243_8.1.zip/
is that means if i am on PIE with the new twrp for pie 29-3 - i have to flash 8.1.0 firmware (10.2.2.0) first to flash any Oreo AOSP rom ???????
Well going back to oreo softbricked my phone. Don't go through TWRP. use fastboot method.
don't go to other ROMS if u were at MIUI pie beta because most of them are yet to support miui pie firmware.
Hi everyone
Have a great day
Im just tired of Google dialer an massage i want mi stock apps
Can I unlock my bootloader and flash India rom?
If not is there any way to install it in Global rom even with root?
joyeuse and curtana are different phone, do not install other firmware or you surely get in trouble
just install the xiaomi.eu rom, unlock your BL, flash orangefox, boot into it, move the xiaomi.eu zip, flash it, format(not wipe) data afterwards, and reboot.
