Always open .vcs file with Google Calendar - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Questions &

Hi,
I use the Google Calendar App on my S20 as my default calendar app and have turnde off/ deactivated any notifications etc. for the Samsung Calendar.
When I receive an .vcs file via email I am only offered two options to open that file with: Samsung Calendar and my file explorer. The only way to add that file to my Google Calendar is, to save the file, go to Total Commander (my file explorer), choose "Open with..." and then choose "com.google.android.calendar.ICalLauncher" (from a long list of different apps). I canĀ“t choose "Always use..." or anything like this.
My question: is there any way to associate .vcs file with Google Calender resp. "delete" Samsung Calender or my file explorer from the suggested apps, so that I can choose Google Calender here as "Always use..." (neither of the two apps is defined as a standard app for anything)?
Thank you!

stupid question... importing contacts?

all my contacts from my previous phone were backed up into "windows contacts" i figured this would make importing them into my Tp2 rather simple.
however i cannot seem to import the "windows contacts" into outlook 2007 to transfer them over to the device. what exactly am i missing here?
OS is Win7 Beta 7100.
There is no direct import or export.
Open Windows Contacts
Click on Export button
Select Comma Separated Values (.CSV) on the popup screen
Save the file to hard drive
Open Outlook 2003/2007
File > Import and Export > Import from another program or file > Comma Separated Values (Windows)
Locate the CSV file and import
tried that. the "import and export" setting under the file drop down is grayed out. i cant even create a new contact under the contacts portion of Outlook.
ideas? i'm trying to use Google sync. but jesus, why is this such a dam hassle?
can you not drag your contacts out into a folder, then drag them into outlook?
The instructions are for my Office 2003, your Office/Outlook 2007 may differ
- go to Control Panel > Programs and Features (Add/Remove Programs on Windows XP or older), select Office/Outlook 2007 and click [Change]
- click the Add/Remove Features radio button, click [Next]
- check "advanced customization of applications"
- click and expand Microsoft Office Outlook to show submenus
- click and expand "Importers and Exporters" and make sure Text (DOS) and Text (Win) are installed (i.e., Run from my computer)

Try create a new user profile. Delete the old one if the new one works.

App to transfer Chrome bookmarks to local bookmarks?

I have a folder of Google/Chrome bookmarks that I would like to transfer to the phone's local set of bookmarks. I'd rather use local bookmarks on the phone because the folder of bookmarks I'd like to use is nested from the root directory (if you know what I mean), and it's sort of a pain to have to hit the folder each time I'd like to access the folder's contents.
So, is there an app that can simply copy a folder of bookmarks to the local set of bookmarks?

You don't need an app. You can do it in the settings for the browser that comes with the phone. Just go to bookmarks and view your Google/Chrome bookmarks.
Hmm. I sort of expected I wasn't being clear enough.
OK, in the default browser's bookmarks section, you have two subsections - Google account bookmarks and local bookmarks.
The Google account subsection always defaults to the root directory and does not remember the last-accessed subfolder. The root directory mirrors Chrome Desktop's shortcut bar. I have a folder of mobile-optimized websites. It is this folder that I would simply like to copy to the *local* bookmarks subsection.
The reason is that only then, by selecting the *local* bookmarks as default, all my mobile-optimized bookmarks appear in the root directory. It's simply about faster access, and I'd rather not have all my mobile-optimized bookmarks occupying my Chrome Desktop's shortcut bar.
Does that make sense?

Outlook / Exchange Folder Shortcut on Homescreen

Hi Team,
I have my Exchange Server / Outlook synced with the Email Application of my Note II. Previously I was using a Sony Xperia Arc running on ICS 4.0.4.
In my Arc, I had an option to create a short-cut to each individual folders from my outlook email account, so I did not have to open the "Inbox" everytime, I can just tap on each specific folder of "Inbox" and I'll get access to that particular folder.
Example: on my PC Outlook Application, the folders are defined as follows:
INBOX -----...MYINBOX
...IMPEMAILS
...TEAM
So, on my arc, I had a shortcut directly to "MYINBOX" Folder and tapping on the shortcut, i'll have direct access to that folder, I did not have to go to INBOX ---> MYINBOX
Can this be done on my NOTE II ?? Please help....

[Q] Share Image With

Before buying my One X+, I used to own an HTC Desire HD.
In the Internet app, whenever I wanted to share a picture (say on Whatsapp, GMail, Viber or any other program) I used to long-press on the image, and from the popup menu, I would select "share image with", then from the new popup screen I would choose the program I want to choose said image from. Can't do that anymore.
[Click Here for the misc. details in between]
So my question is: Can this situation be remedied by some sort of add-on to Chrome Mobile, a custom apk that modifies Chrome's sharing options or something?

[Q] Documents and Widgets

I was wondering if anyone has discovered or knows of an app that will allow a document (word or pdf) to display as a widget or shortcut from the homescreen. Kinda like a mini binder. I have a bunch of schedules for work that I would like to display as a widget or something instead of having to open a viewer, search for the file, open and then close again.
I noticed two threads from 2012 with no answers; I'm hoping they were just forgotten about in the shuffle.

I just tried something on my 10.1 Tab Pro. In the "My Files" app, press down on a file until a marked checkbox appears. Then select the 3 dots menu on the top right. There is an option to "Add shortcut to home."
Unfortunately you can't select more than one file at a time though, you have to create the shortcut, then go back in and uncheck that one, and check another one, etc.
