Outlook / Exchange Folder Shortcut on Homescreen - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Team,
I have my Exchange Server / Outlook synced with the Email Application of my Note II. Previously I was using a Sony Xperia Arc running on ICS 4.0.4.
In my Arc, I had an option to create a short-cut to each individual folders from my outlook email account, so I did not have to open the "Inbox" everytime, I can just tap on each specific folder of "Inbox" and I'll get access to that particular folder.
Example: on my PC Outlook Application, the folders are defined as follows:
INBOX -----...MYINBOX
...IMPEMAILS
...TEAM
So, on my arc, I had a shortcut directly to "MYINBOX" Folder and tapping on the shortcut, i'll have direct access to that folder, I did not have to go to INBOX ---> MYINBOX
Can this be done on my NOTE II ?? Please help....

[Q] [REQ] - Mail Application Script

Hello,
I am looking for a script that will move all of my emails from the native draft folder in the android 2.2 app to the a different folder. I am using Exchange and would like to get the draft folder sync Activesync.
Thanks!

Exchange email app view All folders?

All,
I was using Touchdown before for my Exchange emails, but decided to try the default email app on the Nexus. What I would like is to view by default "All Email Folder" so no matter where my filters sought out to what folder it will show in main inbox.
I believe in the default mail app, you have to view the emails in the respective folders?
Thanks!
I too had the same problem - I just use Moxier Mail, which allows you to select all folders in your 'Sync Folder'. Unfortunately the default mail app still doesn't let you do this.
You can set sync options for each sub folder, but currently notification still not working for email that filtered to sub folders.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App

[REQUEST] Email exchange sync notification on all folders.

In the default email application your [INBOX] is sync'd by default with exchange but not your sub folders.
You can go in to each and every folder and add syncing of that folder to push if you want, but it will not Notify you that an email has been delivered to that sub folder.
Can someone mod in notifications on all sub folders that you sync with exchange?
This is the reason.
My mail comes in and a server rules moves all email from select people in to a [PEOPLE] sub folder. The email in this folder is important and I need to be notified of it. The email app does not notify me that it has been received but it is sitting there.
And yes I could change my folder structure but that changes how I have worked for the past 5 years.
Thank you for any help.

[Q] S Planner <> MS Exchange problem

How can I change in S Planner a calendar entry who was created in Exchange / Outlook? S-Planner show only the possibility Copy, Delete and Send. If I create the entry directly on S Planner , it is also possible to change the calendar entries.
Any idea?
I checked and I'm have the same features for events I've created in Exchange, I'm just restricted regarding other people's events.
I have also lost the ability to edit exchange 2007 calendar events after upgrading from ICS to JB (both stock rooted)
This is even tho the events are "organized" by me. As I set them up on Outlook.
EDIT: It appears S-Planner does not think it's organized by me, even tho it's under my name WTF?
How can I tell S-Planner who is "me"?
found the issue:
turns out the new S-Planner observes the default email used in Outlook to associate the "organizer".
So if you have multiple email accounts on Outlook, and the Calendar event you create is created when your default email is set to anything else other than your Exchange email, S-Planner will deem it organized by someone else.
How to fix this?
So far the only thing I can think of is using Macros to install a button, one for meeting, one for appointment, that will default the Meeting Organizer field to the Exchange Account even if the email default is set to the GMAIL account.
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook-developer/send-using-default-or-specific-account/#2
btw, if you have recently used added the registry code:
NewItemsUseDefaultSendingAccount = 1
Click to collapse
Source: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/outlook-2010/multiple-accounts-and-the-default-account/
And your Default Email is set to something OTHER than your Exchange account, then your "Meeting Organizer" will be incorrect (as it will be set to another Email address) and uneditable in S-Planner.

Always open .vcs file with Google Calendar

Hi,
I use the Google Calendar App on my S20 as my default calendar app and have turnde off/ deactivated any notifications etc. for the Samsung Calendar.
When I receive an .vcs file via email I am only offered two options to open that file with: Samsung Calendar and my file explorer. The only way to add that file to my Google Calendar is, to save the file, go to Total Commander (my file explorer), choose "Open with..." and then choose "com.google.android.calendar.ICalLauncher" (from a long list of different apps). I canĀ“t choose "Always use..." or anything like this.
My question: is there any way to associate .vcs file with Google Calender resp. "delete" Samsung Calender or my file explorer from the suggested apps, so that I can choose Google Calender here as "Always use..." (neither of the two apps is defined as a standard app for anything)?
Thank you!
