Hi,
I have a OnePlus 3 with LineageOS 17.1 and TWRP installed for a few months now.
The power button stopped working some time ago but that wasn't a problem because I could start the device with volume down + power cable.
Today it powered itself off because the battery went low.
I put it on the charger and it charged.
After the battery was more than half full (little battery indicator on display) i disconnected the device, hold volume down and repluged the cable.
Nothing happend.
I put the device without pressing a button on the charger, nothing happend.
I know the usb port works, because my pc makes a sound when I connect the smarphone with the pc but nothing more happens.
Do you have any idea what else I can try?
Should I just charge it for 2 hours until the battery must be full or do I wait until the battery is empty?
I hope someone can help me,
Thiemo
I solved the problem with deconnecting the battery and connect it again.

I'm hoping some of you wise heads on here might be able to help me out with a problem that has got me totally and utterly stumped!
Last week I was using my One X and noticed the battery was down to aorund 14%. I plugged it into a charger and nothing happened...no light...nothing. I tried various different chargers and cables to pc etc and nothing seemed to do anything.
After leaving the phone plugged into the mains for a few hours, I noticed that a very slow/long flashing red/amber light appeared. It kind of stays on for 5 seconds and then off for the same amount of time. I left the phone in this state for about 14 hours and when turning on it would say battery was somewhere between 0%, 1% and 2% and would promptly switch itself off.
I messed about for hours on end trying many different button combinations, sim in/out and came to this bizarre conclusion.........If I plug the phone into the mains for a few minutes, then press power and volume down to get to the HBOOT menu then hold power in again to reboot, the phone reboots into the OS and is functional. It still reads as having 0% or 1% battery and shows as not charging, but it must be getting some juice for it to be working. If I leave the phone in this state for a while I can then unhook it from the charger and use it as normal, even though battery is displaying as 0%. I can use the phone like this for some time, although the battery does not appear to last as long.
Also, the phone is not recognised at all by the PC when plug in via usb when in android os - nothing at all shows in device manager, but it is recognised from the fastboot menu and tries to install device drivers.
Has anybody got any clue if I can save my HOX or am I without a paddle?? Many thanks in advance
My phone was around 40% charged and I turned it off by the on/off button. It then failed to turn back on and even when I connect a charger now there is no charging light, nor can I turn it on by the button whilst connected to the charger.
I had installed a new firmware yesterday, Lollipop 5, it's been running great and I was still configuring it when this happened.
Please can anyone help with this and give me any ideas what to do.
Thanks in advance.

The standard routine is to plug the phone into the wall charger
wait 15 min, then hold volume up and the power button for around 10 seconds. this is the equivalent of a battery pull. the phone should boot up now
Thanks for that,I'll give it a go and let you know how I get on.
What causes this issue with the phone. Going from around 40% to absolutely dead just by turning it off? It's a very strange thing.
Worked fine, all back up and running now.
Cheers.
Hello folks,
I think I have the universal problem here but none of the solutions online helped me.
Yesterday my phone turned off by itself and after an hour I tried putting it on charge while it remained OFF. Within a minute I could see the display showing 1% and hence I left it OFF as that usually charges quicker.
After an hour or so I unplugged the phone(did not bother to check the display for batter status) and tried getting the phone ON but it failed to respond.
I tried connecting to the charger port and all I could see was a empty battery icon(white) with a lightning bolt sign(amber) appearing every 3-5 seconds, and goes off after a few seconds and this keeps repeating. I could neither see my charge going up not able to turn the phone ON.
I tried the battery recalibration technique/hard boot techniques etc., like holding the power + Volume buttons for 2 minutes/3 minutes and different combination. None of them helped. All I could see it that lightning bolt sign.
Anybody faced similar issues or any folks here able to help?
Try a different cable and different charger. Make sure you use a wall charger, and not charge via computer USB port. Charge for several hours, then try holding power + vol up for a minute or so.
If none of this works, and still shows low battery, you might have a failed battery.
Thanks for the response.
I have already tried several cables and the combination of power+volume up (Is there a particular order in which I need to press these buttons or it can be done simultaneously?)
I have been holding them for like more than 3 minutes or so and there seems to be no response.
Shall try putting it in charge overnight and try again tomorrow.

Simultaneously. It doesn't really matter which you start holding first.
Hi all,
i have a oneplus 5t 128 gb. 2 days before i was charging my phone ,it was 55% and suddenly it went dark,no vibration, no led lights notification. when i tried to switch it on, nothing is happening.I tried power & volume up button, charging for 12 hours but nothing helps.
Please help me to recover my device.TIA
maybe battery circuit has cut off...no one else has faced this issue...!
It was 55% when it stopped responding, also when connect it to my laptop there is connection sound but no device is displayed
I am facing same problem, dude. Do you found any solutions?
Ok, so I think that my zuk has completely gone under.
This is what happened, My phone started to get random restarts and battery swelled, so naturally, I went to the service center & got a new og battery for zuk z2. After charging the new battery for around 2 hrs, I went on to wipe the phone since, I wanted new battery to gel with a new ROM. After wiping off everything, my phone goes completely blank. NO REACTION whatsoever.
This is what is happening to my phone:
1) No initial vibration.
2) No LED blinks whatsoever.
I've tried the following:
1) Pressed power button (& other combinations) for prolonged period time both with & without charger.
2) Left the phone for charging for like 6-8 hrs.
3) Left the phone as is for a day.
4) Disconnected the battery and everything & let the phone(in disconnected state) sit overnight.
5) Disconnected the battery and connected the phone directly to charger for 7 sec and then connected the battery again. (https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/288970/Phone+won't+accept+charge-turn+on)
6) Tried the Deep Flash Cable Mod.
Nothing is working and phone doesn't show any sign of being alive. Anybody who went through the same or give some new ideas to try?
My phone also randomly turned of with no signs of life. It does response to my pc though when I connect I hear a sound
