I have an Xperia Play and I decided to flash it with cyanogenmod. First version I got working was the 7.1.0.2. Everything was working fine except for my network: the phone didn't even ask me for the PIN.
After this, I tried the experimental CM9.0 RC1, yet I found the same problem: SIM card not recognized, phone didn't ask PIN, no networks found.
At this point I realized I didn't install a baseband on my phone and tried that. I started flashing it with flashtool, but then forgot to install the .zip file from CWM.
With this the phone was asking for a PIN, but soon afterwards it asked for a "SIM network unlock code". My phone is not sim locked.
After I installed the baseband -36 correctly (with the .zip file from CWM), it returned to behave like before: no PIN asked, no networks found.
Is there a fix for this? I searched for a whole afternoon for this, didn't find anything. I'll give further details if needed, thanks in advance.
By the way, if I revert the system to the stock sony ericsson ROM everything works fine. My carrier is "3 Italy".
EDIT: Installed CM9RC2 and now everything works fine except for wi-fi. Well, i suppose it is to be expected from experimemntal builds.
Hi,
I was tired of my latest ROM (Cataclysm) and decided to switch. It detects my sim card but I am unable to connect to my mobile operator, data traffic seems fine but not able to place any calls. It finds the correct APN but when searching for carrier it says can't connect right now, try later.
I have used many different ROMs to try and solve the issue but nothing has worked. Last attempt was with Cyanogen installer, the process it self works great but the problem is still there. For each and every re-flash I have wiped everything and formated everything I could find.
This is what I have at the moment.
Android version 4.4.2
Baseband: I9250TDVMK1
Kernel: 3.0.101 - cyanogenmod-gaa35f56
CyanogenMod version: 11.0-installerXNPQ09P
Clockworkmod recovery: 6.0.4.7
I have tried the latest cyanogenmod nightly, cr-Droid v13, XENONHD and one more that I can't remember but all with the same issue.
The sim card works just fine in another phone.
Any got any ideas how to solve this? I don't want to have to buy a new phone. I love this one and surely don't have the cash to buy a new.
Regards,
stoffeboffe
Hi, I'm having some troubles here with a GT-9192 (Stock ROM 4.2.2), one of my friends brough me his phone which he tried to root (I don't know how or what software did he use to do so) and I think he did something really wrong because now the phone boots as normal but doesn't get any network signal at all. SIM1 doesn't recognize any SIM inserted, SIM2 does but there's no service at all, every time I try to search for a network provider it fails and if I select automatic selection it says "registered on network" but there's no signal at all.
I tried flashing today Bliss 6.0.1 ROM and it flashed nice, booted up and worked as intended yet the device has no network signal. WiFi and bluetooth work nicely.
What can we do to fix this? I did a Nandroid backup of the official Stock ROM on TWRP 3.0.2-1 and I just did a restore. Do you need more info? I'm out of ideas.
TL-DR : Carrier was working > Wiped SYSTEM > Flashed LATAM ROM > Carrier not working > Flashed CM 14.1 > Carrier still not working > Flashed RETBR ROM (finally found it, the correct one for me) > Carrier still not working, Network not available (Nextel), can only connect to "Nextel R" (Can't make calls. Can't use mobile data without roaming).
Hello, I'm stuck with a phone that doesn't connect to the network (mobile data and calls)
I've wiped my system via TWRP and had to flash it again with mFastboot.
First I tried LATAM retailer version that was said to be the version used here on Brazil.
- I flashed exactly as it was described on the flashfile.xml , after reboot I've noticed that my mobile data and calls were not working.
- I've tried changing the APN setting to the current one my carrier is using and many alternative ones, didn't work. The only thing that I could make work was the data when I activate my "Data Roaming" and connect to "Nextel R". But this is not how it should work.
Second I found a RETBR version here on the forum, but "system.img_sparsechunk.1" is corrupted and I can't extract it from the file, I've tried different mirrors and they all got the same problem.
- I tried to substitute this img "system.img_sparsechunk.1" of the RETBR version by the one from LATAM and it didn't.
- I already tried only flashing the boot.img and/or other images and bins from the RETBR version ontop of the LATAM version installed. Even the system working correctly I couldn't get my mobile data and calls to work.
The main problem is that I can't connect to my domestic carrier "Nextel", I can only connect to "Nextel R". My toughts is that I have to flash the correct ROM (RETBR) without any corrupted files, but everywhere that this version is hosted the "system.img_sparsechunk.1" is corrupted.
INFO:
- Even flashing full LATAM rom I still got "retbr" when I go on Config>about
- On Config>about>IMEI , IMEI is 0, but on fastboot getvar imei the number is correct. (This is a problem or it is normal?)
- Tried Addison Cyanogen 14.1 Android Nougat 7.1 ROM from this forum and the problem with the network (mobile and calls) still persist.
I've tried everything I could think, if anyone could give me a light I would be very glad.
Thanks!

Use 7zip to extract the retbr version. It will give a warning about the corrupted file but will extract the file.
I flashed it a few times and it works fine.

Thanks! I was able to extract the corrupted file and flash the RETBR firmware on my device.
Everything went OK, but the problem with my mobile data and calls still persist.
TL-DR : I was able to flash the RETBR ROM but I'm still having problems with my mobile data and calls
- Mobile data only work on Roaming "Nextel R" (with data roaming activated)
- Calls doesnt work.
Did it work right after you bought the phone? Maybe it's a Nextel thing.

It was working when I bought.
I wiped the whole system and had do reinstall by flashing the ROM on the device, at that moment I didn't had RETBR version so I flashed the LATAM, after that the problem started to appear, I couldn't connect to my carrier "Nextel" anymore, only "Nextel R" that gives me mobile data with roaming activated but my calls still don't work.
I tried after that flashing Addison CM 14.1 Nougat 7.1 but the problem was still there.
Now I'm with the correct RETBR version and still can't connect to correct network.

Did you do all the steps on flashfile.xml? Try using rsd lite to restore the firmware. I don't know if it will work but it's worth a try.

Yes, I did exactly like it was on the flashfile, rsd lite is not detecting my device and I couldn't get it to work, maybe I'll try again if it can make my OS work the way it was suposed to.
Soon I'll be posting further information to see if it can help me to get to the solution of this problem.
MORE INFO WITH PICS. (IMEI, Network, Sim Status)
I don't know if what is showing on the IMEI screen should be that way, but with "fastboot getvar imei" I can see my correct IMEI number.

Hi,
I tried yesterday to flash lineage on my GalaxyS5 (with Odin 3.12.5 and TWRP)
First, everyone looked pretty good, but my phone did not recognize my SIM card.
Other modem and boot loaders did not work.
The SIM card works fine befor....
After many hours of trying, I have now decided to switch to Stock-Rome 6.01. No root, completely original.
But.... Again, here is the same problem.
Wipe Cach or Firmware was carried out. Without success.
Did I break with the lineage flash something?
Currently it shows me
AP: G900FXXS1CPLV
CP: G900FXXU1CPJ1
CSC: G900FDBT1CPJ1
Any Help?
Thanks
Try turning off system profiles completely from the settings menus. See if that works - had the same problems. If it helps, ale sure system profiles don't change the settings of the lockscreen, make sure the option in each profile is always set to "system default".
I'm on an HTC one m7 with lineage and just noticed it's saying no sim card. It was working, a quick Google suggests a handful of others with the same issue in the last week or two. Issue with the nighties unlikely?
