My phone sometimes gives me a short viberats for no reason.
There's no new mail, and no app running that can make those.
What could they be?

you may got a bad download, you could reflash it with a full wipe and see if that helps

yeah, i know that for many persons out there a full wipe is kinda time-waisting, but in some cases it is necessary...
There must be a way to find out which app is doing this.
I switched Vibrate Off yesterday and it's ok so far ...

you can check which apps are running when this happens and then unistall them one by one and see if that solves the problem
Turn off ADB Debugging, or if you have root go to system/bin/ and delete bugreport or bugmailer file.
That vibrations (1 at start and 2 fast after 20 sec) are generating Bug Report on ICS and JB, it is normal. Also delete folder bugreports on SD card, reports are stored there.

Hello guys,
I am facing a weird problem with my Note II . My phone is always in Silent mode ie. Vibrate only. Today I turned to on to Sound mode and to my Horror It says out loud the callers name or whenever I get an sms!
The funny and important part is My DRIVING MODE AND TALKBACK ARE OFF! Even I have unchecked the Speak caller ID feature in TalkBack (its still off) separately done the same in driving mode..
I have no idea how to stop this.. Any help is highly appreciated
Regards
Ashhem

I guess that was caused due to talkback!

Did disabling talkback fix it for you?

Hello,
No talkback was always off. However finally after digging too deep, I realised that the App Robibn (Its an app like S-Voice or SIRI) was doing all the talking.. It was not a built in function!!!
But I changed the settings of that app and my phone is back to normal!! Yippie
Thanks all
Ashhem
Nice, glad to know it's fixed
Quite annoying when the phone talks randomly :cyclops:
I've turned off many apps today and seemed that I lost the touch key lights ( menu and back arrow).
I went to turn back on a few that I thought would be them but no luck
Any help thanks in advance

I've been looking through the apps and nothing sticks out as being tied to the button lights. I did some searching on Google and didn't find anything either.

I'm not rooted. Is there any way to disable or make the Emergency Call more childproof? While I'm napping, my 2yr old be taking my phone and accidentally emergency calling 911. -_-
I'm not sure but there might be a xposed module that might do that

Good find. I'm always worried my kids may do the same.
And to OP, yes you need to be rooted for thus method and have Xposed installed.

Darn it!! LOL. Didn't feel the need to root these phones anymore but guess I'll think about it. Thanks!
It takes a lot of juice. I can stop it manually, but it turn itself on again, like a freaking virus. I am on version 7.0 nugourt, not sure I can still root it.
Any help?
TIA
