No picture, led blinks and phone vibrates? - Xiaomi Redmi 7 Questions & Answers

I replaced a cracked screen a few weeks ago. I didn't put the new screen in flush at the bottom, slight gap and as a result the new screen cracked from pressing pressure. The screen still worked but cracks got worse over time.
Also the screen would freeze now and again for a minute or so then back to working again.
Now the screen goes dead and the charging led blinks with cable in and the phone vibrates every 3 seconds or so in a permanent loop with charging cable in?
Any ideas what's damaged and if it's fixable?

One X solid red light after (attempt to) repair

I dropped my HOX and I got another HOX with working mainboard. I replaced it and everything worked except for very faint backlight and flickering. So I disassembled the phone and put it back together again. Now I can't start the phone anymore and the solid red led burns when connected to the charger....after I connect it it flickers one time, very fast. Does anyone have an idea what it could be? So pissed of right now...
Hi, if you don't have any power at all eg no vibration or lights on three bottons at the bottom, it could be that the power connecter is not properly plugged in. follow cabble down from power button, plug is hard to get at unless you unstick power button from cassie.
If you have some power check lcd is working by using a bright light near the screen and closely checking to see if you can see anything, could be backlight not working.
just my 2cents
feel bad for ya!

Okay, I have experienced the same thing and I'll tell you what I did to fix it. I dropped my HOX after owning for only a few days and the screen was cracked. I ordered a replacement LCD/ screen digitizer part and took it apart. One of the things that I found was that there was adhesive everywhere, including adhesive on the connection to the battery.
After it was taken apart, I attempted to test the new screen. It was then the LED turned solid red and the phone would not power on (even after 10 minutes of charging). What I did was remove the adhesive from he battery connector and disconnected the battery completely. I plugged it back in 10 seconds later and it turned back to flashing green (which is normal because I had several missed texts).
So my solution was just to unplug the battery and it worked just fine. The hardest part about this whole process was putting the cover back on, especially on the side with volume buttons! Hope that helps.
I have exactly the same problem. The difference is that now that I took it off charge, the red light is flickering on and off. I cannot get the display to show! Please please help.

[Q] Sony xperia turn on problems

Hi so i recently had a cracked screen and LCD damage to my play and then suddenly i got the fuzzy screen, which many people say is the flex cable, i took the phone apart put in a new flex cable new LCD and new digitizer, put back together turned on and perfect, 20 minuites later after plugging in to charge it turns off, i then cannot turn it back on no vibrate or anything, all i get is a red light blinking at me when i plug in to charger, what is the problems???

Screen is "black"

Hello!
I hope somebody can help me, I tried to solve the problem by myself but I ran out of ideas what could be wrong. So to start with, i have replaced a cracked screen with a new one(lcd+digitizer). Everything was working fine after assembly, so I gave the phone back to the customer. Yesterday after 3 weeks of usage, he came back claiming that the screen isn't working anymore and that sometimes the screen was black and the other second was working. So I gave a look, but the screen was working(suddenly again), only the colours were a bit funky(probably the screen flat cable is the problem or?) So I opened the phone but nothing was wrong with the cables. I also cleaned the connectors with air if there was maybe some dust. Then when I assembled it back, plugged it in, to charge it, the battery was on screen, saying it is charging and I thought the problem is solved, but when I turn on the phone there is still nothing, blank screen. What could be wrong? The screen must be working because otherwise I couldn't see the green battery when charging the phone while off.

Backlight works but screen is black

I don't use my watch every day. A few days ago I picked up my 1st gen from the charger and the screen stayed black. If I touch the screen the backlight comes on, but the screen stays black. If I hold a finger on the screen it buzzes like it should when you change faces but stays black.
I've tried holding the button for about 3 minutes and rebooting. I let the battery run down over a couple of days and recharged. Nothing has changed the behavior. Maybe it's just dead.
This is already a refurb as I got a replacement for burn-in spots right at the end of my warranty. I wonder if replacements get a new warranty.
Ideas?
Try doing a factory reset. might resolve your problem.

Z3 Play doesn't charge, shows the logo 3 times and then it's dead

My original battery got swollen, so I changed it, When I put it back together I forgot to put a yellow Kapton tape that was on top of the screen flex, which makes the phone turned off by what I believe was a short circuit. After some testing to see reproducibility, I noticed if I pressed the screen area on top of that flex, it shuts down. When I was about to fix it, it shut down again, but this time the phone doesn't restart normally. Now I don't do anything. If I plug the charger it turns on the notification LED once, shows the battery logo on 0, vibrates for 1 sec, and then the screen goes to black. It does that 3 times and then dead. Any suggestions, I can open the cellphone, and you can go technical.
