Hello,
I successfully followed the method to cross flash Android 10 to my device. Everything works but my mobile service (data, calls, text). I have no idea what to do from here to fix it. When I try to make an outbound call, I get the message 'Emergency calls only'. Is there a way to manually activate the phone? I wonder if it isn't working because it didn't automatically activate itself on Verizon's network after the update. Thank you guys for any and all help you can provide. I really appreciate it!
Nevermind, I just flashed back to stock Android 9 since 10 didn't work out for me. I will wait for the official release. Moderators, feel free to delete

I was originally on LiquidSmooth v2.8, everything was working fine except my network data was going crazy from google service constantly trying to download the 4.3 OTA update. So I decided to upgrade to v2.9 as I've been told that they don't receive the update.
I dirty flashed the rom, and now I am unable to make outgoing calls.
I can still send/receive SMS, network data works and receive calls, just can't call anyone.
I tried to resolve it by flashing to the latest 4.3 stock from google. Installed through toolkit, but still the same problem.
I'm out of ideas, so hoping someone can shed some light in this situation.

First try wiping EVERYTHING and then flash a 4.3 rom. Then try one of the latest radio's for your specific region ! Let me know if it helped.

Thanks for the reply, I'll try it now and keep you updated
EDIT: Still the same problem
I looked into the specifics, I used *#*#4636#*#* and my "ping host name" is set to google.co.uk
Could that have something to do with this?
bump, contacted my service provider, they said everything is good on their end, nothing barred
So as the title states I have the virgin mobile a5_chl variant and after flashing cm12 (build 05052015) I can no longer (or at least hardly ever) gain LTE signal back, no matter what ROM im on. It comes across saying I have no service and no signal and I can't text or call when trying to use LTE.
I have done the following to try and fix:
1. flash apn fix (obviously)
2. restore stock backup
3. try a different rom
4. completely RUU back to stock.
I believe the issue lies somewhere within the HtcOMADM_SPCS.apk but I'm not 100% sure about that. According to any thing i've found the HtcOMADM_SPCS.apk is the "vDM client" that allows for profile updates (when i try to do a profile update it either says vDM client has stopped responding or the the profile update could not be completed). I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the HtcOMADM_SPCS.apk but that only provided a fix once and when i rebooted my phone I lost signal again.
I'm pretty much at a loss as to what to do as virgin mobile gives me the usual run around that they are "having tower issues" so I'm hoping maybe someone on here can help out. If you need any further information please ask and I'll provide, I tried to be thorough when creating this thread. Thanks for any help.
BUMP / Can someone from VM USA upload a copy of the HtcOMAD_SPCS.apk it can be found in system/app/HtcOMAD_SPCS. It would be very much appreciated if you could
Same exact issue

Guys,
I'm trying to make a ROM for the Verizon Galaxy Note Edge from stock. Yes, I know this is the wrong forum BUT...there are only a few of us with the phone and there has been no developer interest which is completely understandable. NPJohnson was kind enough to do the work so that we could convert to the developer edition from the retail edition. This phone is very similar and so I'm hoping one of the devs here has ran into the problem and can point me in the right direction.
The problem: I've made a ROM based on the stock firmware and it boots (which is further than I thought I'd get) and gets working 4G. However, I can't get it to connect for calls or sms. It keeps showing "Searching for service" under Network in phone info. My phone number, MIN, PRL and IMEI are all present. I've tried removing the SIM card and reinserting it and still nothing. I can flash my original backup and it's fine again.
Why I think it can be fixed: Back when the Developer Edition was first released, one of the users put out a stock, rooted ROM, unfortunately, he is no longer active on XDA. Going back and following his posts I see that he ran into the same issue and then resolved it but there was nothing posted about how it was resolved.
If you can help, have suggestions, recommend other tools or forums, anything, it would be greatly appreciated.
Hi team
Sorry if this is the wrong place but I'm stuck on an annoying problem with an HTC M9 that cant make phone calls. Some background on what I've done to date.
1. Created a dev account at HTC, got the .bin file unlocked the device.
2. Installed TWRP and managed to install Android Pie Lineage 16.
3. The device will connect to wifi, data works fine
4. When you try to make a phone call the calling app just freezes and the phone locks for some time. it does recover but the same thing happens again when you try to make a phone call.
the device is the NM80PJA100 M9u and I'm kinda stuck as to what to do next. I've tried different versions of firmware but with the same result in that Oreo and PIE just can't make phone calls.
I've also tried different GSM carriers (Vodafone, Spark/Telecom in New Zealand) with the same results.
Any suggestions would be hugely appreciated as I've pulled out the last of my hair and I have sweet FA to pull out anyway.
Thanks

It really sounds like you somehow managed to install the wrong versions of those custom ROMS. Can you make calls on the stock one?
Hello there, I'm new to XDA so please inform me if I'm creating this thread incorrectly or not following guidelines.
Anyways, I flashed my first Rom (havoc os) on my Galaxy S9 (snapdragon). I'm having this strange issue where I can surf the web on data (verizon) just fine, but can't receive/send calls or texts. I've tried rebooting, turning on and off airplane mode, factory resetting and messing with it's network settings but couldn't get it working. I'm sort of wondering if it's a Rom issue or not?
Any help would be great, thanks

I guess it could be a rom issue. Something with the csc or modem file maybe.
Best to flash back a stock firmware and test again. Just to verify if it's really the rom.
did you get the correct APN settings in the ROM? ive had that issue before and resolved it that way. Im on a GSM carrier tho, big red is still cdma for its voice if its not VoLTE. could be a setting related to VoLTE come to think of it too
